Jozef has a beautiful holiday home. It was extremely clean and smelt wonderful when we arrived. Self-check in made it flexible to suit our arrival time, and we were provided with clear instructions. The holiday home was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. As advertised, the WiFi is almost non-existant, but that didn’t bother us as we wanted a detox style retreat. Jozef has provided many books and some games, as well as plenty of channels on the TV so there’s no chance of getting bored. The surrounding area is stunning, with plenty of activities on your doorstep. Despite it being a busy holiday village, it was always peaceful, with everyone being very friendly. Thank you Josef, we hope to stay with you again!

Our stay at Dunskey Estate was perfect. The cottage is quirky, decorated in a really interesting style which felt really homely. The grounds provided beach access, great walks and fishing at the loch. A great place to stay to explore Portpatrick and surrounding area. The hosts were really responsive too. We will definitely be back to visit.

A wonderful place to stay for a family holiday of 4 generations. The house was spotlessly clean, spacious, had comfy beds and 2 large beautiful bathrooms. The enclosed garden was a perfect place for my 2 year old grandson to explore while my mum could sit and relax. Location was beautiful with a short walk to the harbour, Southern Upland Way and local play park. Katie was welcoming and super responsive getting a travel cot to the property on the first day after me forgetting to add it in the booking. Hope to be back!

What a wonderful, relaxing week in the most perfect cottage. Location was perfect for walks straight from the house as well as local restaurants. The cottage was so beautifully decorated with absolute everything we could possibly need. The sun lounge and walled garden was an extra bonus. We will definitely be back.

A really lovely accomodation that met our needs. Spacious caravan that easily accomodared 2 adults, 3 teenagers and 2 dogs. We felt at home there and it was really well equipped. The site where it is situated is idyllic and beautiful with lovely walks and beaches. We qould love to return for a longer stay to explore more of this beautiful piece of Scotland. This house is just amazing ! Much bigger than it looks in the pictures, we were 4 adults and one infant, plenty of room for a travel cot ! Cathy's house is spotless, there is everything you need for your stay We loved the wee room with the window seat and viewing chairs, there are also binoculars, could sit there all day, the views are lovely, we were lucky enough to see an amazing sunset The garden is big and enclosed with a seating area and barbeque Communication with Cathy was great We will defiantly be back !

The Boathouse Luxury Coastal Retreat SW Scotland

This is a super place to stay. We received a warm welcome from Julie’s daughter on arrival. There was a box of goodies on entry to the house including biscuits, scones, cakes, and fizz. We were also delivered more scones and jam on the eve of our departure and they were delicious. The house has all you need and is modern and well equipped. The huge bed was extremely comfortable (and I’m very fussy about mattresses)! Lots to do in the local area and further afield if desired. Superb hosts with warm friendly touches and communication. We will definitely return. Thank you ☺️

We had a fantastic time at Rockliffe, helped by sunshine all day long for a week! The hosts, Julian and Theo were very friendly and helpful, they even showed us around their beautiful garden! The bungalow is fabulous, clearly been recently renovated, with excellent facilities, cooker, washing machine, plenty of hot water etc. The beds were very comfortable. There is an outside covered area at the back of the bungalow, completely safe and ideal for leaving bikes, shoes etc. There is a large garden to use, with table for al fresco dining, and lovely lawn with garden chairs, mainly for sun bathing for us! The beach is a short walk away, and it was great to cool off after long hot days! Dave

I choose this cabin to get some studying done over a couple of days, and it was perfect for that, soo quiet and peaceful, and you actually need to sit out on the decking at night when the skies are clear and stargaze , absolutely stunning, no street lights, or any lights for that matter , feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, but a small local village and shops just 2 minutes away , would definitely book this place again

This beautiful place was everything we hoped it would be. A stunning location. So peaceful. We enjoyed all the wildlife, the local beaches & feeding the badgers at night. The place was well equipped, super comfy beds, nice showers & everything we needed for a lovely stay, it felt like a home from home. Leigh & Tom were very quick to respond to anything & gave us a really good guide on what to see & do. We can't wait to go back. We had glorious sunshine which always helps but we are certain that we would have had an amazing time with or without the weather!

We loved our stay. The house (Byre) is beautiful and far more spacious than photos give credit for. Added bonus for us, wheelchair accessable from patio doors into kitchen/dinning/lounge area. Wheelchair accessible into downstairs bathroom/shower and bedroom. There is a shower stool in cupboard next to bathroom. The upstairs landing area has a cosy couch/snug between bedrooms and upstairs toilet/Shower room. Beautiful scenory surrounding Cottages and we all completely felt at home and relaxed instantly. House very clean and fresh. Stranraer in walking distance with pavement at road end of cottages. Lovely walking options around cottages. Kitchen comes very well equipped and decent sized fridge freezer. We look forward to returning.

Unique cabin in a lovely part of Scotland. Perfect for a family getaway, very unique with hot tub, trampoline & treehouse. H went above & beyond to make our stay incredible. Fresh eggs from The hens on the farm to The Easter lollies for the boys. Very impressed by comfy bedding & kitchen utensils. The hot tub & patio made it for us we lucked out with the weather & felt like we were abroad. Such a calm & beautiful place would love to return

An amazing few days staying at Thrums. Beautiful house which is private, has spectacular views and is incredibly peaceful. Loved watching the birds and red squirrels in the garden. Asya made us feel at home straight away, providing a perfect little food hamper. Great location, would love to go back. Missing it already!
