I cannot say enough good things about Nick’s home. If you are thinking of staying here - PLEASE DO! The hosts were extremely accommodating and helpful. They helped us find a massage therapist to come to the home as well as a private chef and a nearby yoga studio. If it’s even possible, the home is even more beautiful than the pictures let on. I wish I could give this place 10 stars out of 5! We absolutely loved it and had no complaints.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! This home felt perfect for two families to share, with plenty of space for everyone to relax comfortably. Our kids had a blast, and the unforgettable views made every moment special. The legendary hot tub was a huge highlight, especially after a day of exploring. The soaring ceilings enhanced the spectacular scenery, and the modern, stylish aesthetic made the home feel both inviting and luxurious. We loved the king-sized beds and enormous bathrooms, which added to the overall comfort. The short, easy commute to Mont Tremblant was a big plus, and having great restaurants and supermarkets nearby made everything super convenient.

All about Mont-Tremblant

Planning a vacation in Mont Tremblant

Mont Tremblant, Quebec, is a Canadian ski resort with a mixture of East-Coast action and European charm. With over 96 trails, all centered around a purpose-built, Alpine-style resort village, it’s the perfect destination for a ski break that feels unique without being a red-eye flight away from home. The closest airport is Montreal, some 90 minutes to the south, but the drive up to Tremblant is straightforward and kept clear in all weathers.

Most of the activity here is centered around the cobbled streets of the brightly painted ski village. There are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants here—more than enough to keep you entertained for a day, and even some small art galleries with paintings by local artists.

Most people visit from December to April when ski season is in full swing, but there’s plenty to do here in summer too, when blue skies and warm days provide the perfect backdrop to hiking, biking, and golfing expeditions.

All about snow

The first makeshift chairlift climbed the mountain here way back in 1939, and the resort has been operating continuously ever since. Now it’s well known as one of Eastern North America’s best ski and snowboard hills. With up to 156 inches of snow per year, you’re practically guaranteed good conditions—be aware though, that there’s usually less powder skiing over on the East Coast, and more chance of icy days. In February, temperatures can drop to a very chilly zero degrees Fahrenheit, so make sure you pack your warmest layers and invest in good gloves and a neck warmer. The north side of the mountain tends to draw fewer crowds, and is also less icy according to locals.

If you’re all about getting pristine conditions, then a First Tracks pass should be high on your list of priorities. The chairlifts at Tremblant officially open at 8:30 am, but you can get ahead of the pack with the pass and jump on the chairlift as early as 7:45 am. This means you’ll be skiing down as the sun rises, and trust us when we say there’s no better way to start your ski vacation.

Tremblant also has some 17 miles of Alpine touring trails, where you can hire a pair of touring skis to enjoy an uphill hike before skiing down again.

Skate under the stars

If you’re not a keen skier, other winter fun activities include tobogganing, tubing (sliding down hills in a water-park style inner tube), snowshoeing and dogsledding. Of course, a winter vacation is not complete without a romantic skate under the stars. Open every night until 10 pm, the picturesque rink in front of St Bernard’s chapel is ideal for a romantic photo opp with your other half, or a fun family activity that will have your whole group grinning from ear to ear.

Enjoy some “me time” at the spa

Refuel with Canadian classics

With all this fresh air you’re sure to have worked up an appetite, and luckily for you, Canadian specialize in rib-sticking comfort food. Find a cozy corner in one of the chalet restaurants in the village and order up that most Canadian of dishes - poutine, a mixture of french fries, cheese curds and gravy. Yes, it’s a heavy dish, but after a day on the slopes, it’s just what you feel like.

Another calorie-packed snack you’ll want to try is the beaver tail, or queue de castor in French, a fried pastry with your choice of sweet toppings. If you visit Tremblant in the springtime you’ll get to experience another local foodie favorite - the Cabane à Sucre, or Sugar Shack, where maple syrup season is celebrated in traditional style with a meal of bacon, beans, eggs, sausage and pancakes, drenched in maple syrup and washed down with coffee or local beer.

Summer’s calling

OK, so Mont Tremblant might be at its most majestic in winter, but the resort has a wealth of fun summer activities too, making a great family destination in the warmer months.

Mountain biking

When summer rolls around, Tremblant transforms into one of the best mountain biking destinations in Canada. There are some 20 marked trails on the road—great for adventurous families—and around 30 miles of off-road terrain for more advanced cyclists.

Enjoy 18 holes of golf
