Beach house holiday rentals in Montecito

This beach cottage was the perfect getaway for Valentine’s Day weekend. It was very cozy with a beautiful deck where you could enjoy the beach all day long. You can access the beach easily and the Rosewood hotel. Would definitely recommend and stay again. It’s the upper unit of a house so you do share a hallway entrance with downstairs guests and the entrance is right by the bedroom. Apart from that everything was very nice!

Natty’s place was an absolute dream for us and our dogs! We will definitely be back, it was so perfect, peaceful and private. And so stylish, thank you!!

Great place in a nice little neighborhood pocket that is still walkable to shops/beach. Hosts were responsive and accommodating to our needs with a baby. Would definitely recommend this listing and hope to stay again.

We enjoyed our stay and could relax and unwind near the Ocean. The beach was extremely close and though cold and rainy, we could go on daily walks in the sand on a very quiet, almost private, beach. It felt secluded and peaceful. Nice to enjoy the hot tub when we got back!

Our family absolutely loved this house as a way to spend a week for Spring Break. The beach is basically private and the house as beautiful, not to mention absolutely loaded with Beach chairs and games/toys to use for the kids. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Kids room was fun for the kids to all be in their own space.

This is such a cute place only steps from the beach. The hosts are very helpful and the house had everything we needed. It’s the perfect place to stay for a beach weekend!

This house is beautiful, clean and is full of amenities. The view is stunning and the gardens are amazing. Only note is the walkway isn’t good for suitcases so be prepared to carry them and not roll them to the front door. Lots of space and privacy.

Great location, hot tub and pool were really great, great family spaces. We had a great week there. Also, Melissa was very helpful in mailing me something I accidentally left behind in the house.

Loved the decor, furniture, artwork, coziness and charm at Mary’s place. The gardens were a delight. I enjoyed coffee in the garden several mornings while watching birds among the flowers. My 2 year old and I really enjoyed our stay. It was great to walk with him to the Douglas Family Preserve for some exercise (not far or strenuous, but great for a 2 year old to get energy out.) also enjoyed a walk to the steps down to the beach at low tide. He explored some tide pools and I got a workout carrying him back up the many steps. Mary was super kind and friendly and visited with us briefly one morning. Loved meeting her. It’s an easy drive to most places you’d want to go from Mary’s. If you want a nice breakfast on the water (or any meal), go to the boat house restaurant nearby - don’t waste time at Shoreline Cafe, which has very mediocre food, slow service, but a great sandy outdoor eating area for littles to play while you’re eating. We mostly ate out due to no full kitchen.

We loved staying here. A perfect location for easy access to the beach and the Ventura area. Don’t let the location near Von’s grocery store and Starbucks concern you – it’s amazingly quiet and peaceful considering the location. That also meant it’s incredibly convenient to pop around the corner to pick up supplies :) The house itself was immaculate and calmly decorated, while the kitchen had great supplies, including nice pots and pans. Across the street, we liked the cafe and the Thai restaurant (we also loved the original Rice Mama Thai downtown). Sarah was also very responsive. We hope to stay here again!

Connie is the best host I’ve ever had! Her property was paradise, the house felt like a complete getaway even though it was just 1 1/2 hrs from LA. We got to go whale watching in Santa Barba and come back to the property to lounge by the beautiful heated pool surrounded by fruit trees and a beautiful fragrant flower garden. Connie was super responsive and accommodating, everything in the house worked well and the space was so relaxing. We will definitely be back!

Sandy and her husband were very friendly and offered us more than indicated on the description. The room was a bit small, but he beds were comfy and the private bath great. They had all you'd need including a little table w coffee/tea/cocoa, granola bars and fruit for guests to help themselves. They let us do 2 loads of wash including drying despite only being there 1 night. In the morning they offered us to make ourselves breakfast- cereal or eggs. They also offered that we could use their bikes! One thing to be aware of is the stairs to the bedroom felt just a little bit steep, so if stair are hard that is a consideration. The room was light in the morning so eye masks might help sleeping in. Otherwise, it was really great!

Vivian was very responsive and communicated well. The house was large for eight people, and hot showers for everyone! A little traffic noise at night, but it died down after 9 PM. Would definitely come back again. Thank you Vivian!

Great location in a safe neighborhood! There was plenty of space for the six of us to spread out. The only things missing were Kleenex and paper towels. Tao was very responsive and understanding. We needed an early check-in and a late check-out due to the marathon, and he was very accommodating. Highly recommend his place!

Jayne's place was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. She was a very friendly, responsive, and helpful host. I would recommend this property as well as her hosting to anyone. One particular thing worth mentioning is how well stoked her place was with useful amenities for the beach and the home. We brought more than we needed because she's stocked the house so well. We had a great experience at Adam's place, we were evacuated and he was very flexible with our check in time. It was really close to the Rosewood and we got daypasses to go, just a walk away. We look forward to going back!

The house was perfect for our stay, even as a group of 8, and exactly as shown – clean, spacious, and comfortable and in a peaceful neighborhood with a very short walk to the beach. Our group especially appreciated the espresso machine for pre-bike ride coffee and the large, open dining and living room area. Karina is a friendly, attentive host and quickly answered all of our questions. Check in and check out were smooth and easy. I would absolutely recommend Karina and her home if you're looking for a relaxing stay by the beach.

My stay at Vivian’s place was truly wonderful! Her home is located at a very convenient location, close to everything: the market, Downtown Ventura, Botanical gardens, and the pier! The inside of her house is gorgeous, spacious, clean, and decorated so nicely. The pictures posted did not do it justice; we were pleasantly surprised! My family and I enjoyed cooking together in the spacious kitchen. The patio dining area is so lovely, but we were too cold to eat outside this time. The living room is great, my kids loved hanging out there! Vivian offers nice streaming options on TV and some games to play, so the kids were entertained the whole time. The bedrooms are serene and tastefully decorated and we appreciated plenty of closet space and the hangers. The master bedroom and bathroom are the best! My parents really loved their stay there. The room is so spacious: there is a bed, walk-in closet, a sofa, and a desk/chair. Thank you Vivian for sharing your beautiful home with us!
