Holiday rentals with a kayak in Moosehead Lake

Wow - this house is the BEST! My friends and I stayed at Holly's home in Maine this summer, and we absolutely loved it. Despite being pretty deep in the woods in Maine, the house was squeaky clean and spider-free. The check-in instructions were super clear, and we had no issues getting to or into the house. The boats are fabulous, and we greatly enjoyed kayaking and canoeing on the lake. Also, the ping pong table, firepit, and large backyard were awesome to have. Holly and her properly managed Skylar were of huge help throughout the trip when I needed directions/instructions/assistance. Thank you Holy for sharing your awesome home with us!!

Jennifer provides so many details and amenities. We had our wedding on site and the transition from bridal to air bnb was a breeze. Would come back and stay in a heart beat! The tub is to die for. Quiet, quaint, clean and professional. Jennifer has a unique, lovely space.

The house is beautiful and the scenery around the house with the fall colors was wonderful! The house was roomy, totally clean and comfortable. It is a strong half hour to the nearest real town and restaurants, but an easy highway drive.

We came to Dragonwood for a small family getaway and had the most amazing time. Carrie was an extremely attentive host and we were never lacking in activities, even when the weather was on the dreary side. We’re looking forward to booking another stay next year!

Stayed for a snowmobile week and is close to the trail but not on the trail. Ride down approx 1.2 miles of dirt road to get to the trail at Prong Pond Rd or 1.2 miles to get onto the lake if frozen which was down towards end of Black Point Rd. With enough snow it isn’t terrible but mentioning for other riders to know. Otherwise the place was very clean, very roomy for the 6 of us and 1 dog, and we had 3 trucks with two clamshells and one 3-place trailer and it was easy to maneuver with two driveway entrances, and very private. Host was very responsive when contacted. Would stay again!

We had a lovely time at Ellen‘s home with four adults and two kids enjoying a last few days of summer vacation. Our family enjoyed using the paddleboard and canoes to spend time on the water. The beach was perfect for swimming too. We also loved the walking paths along the pond and all of the benches and picnic spots. Having all of the games and roomy indoor space was very helpful on a rainy morning. Ellen left many helpful instructions. Thank you and we hope to return again!

It was a cozy cottage on the lake. The house was beautiful, fully equipped and the scenery was spectacular. Everything you needed to relax and enjoy time with family; there were 3 of us. Outdoor grilling, fire pit to make smores at night, night-time star gazing, steps away to swim, kayak and watch and listen to the loons.

Railway camp was a great winter getaway! Great, responsive host, clean, right in the lake, in a perfect location! Everything was as described and hope to stay here again. I am glad they share this camp.

Another perfect stay at what has come to be a home away from home for us. We've been coming here for years and are so grateful for the memories we make together in this little piece of paradise. Thank you, Chris, for always being an outstanding host.

We're repeat customers who love the cottage and the tranquil lakeside surroundings. Took canoe and kayak rides, swam, enjoyed coffee and cocktails on the dock and the porch. Stars at night were spectacular, loon calls haunting. Great place.

We loved our one week stay at the cabin! It was really wonderful living right at the lake, having breakfast outside, kayaking, going swimming almost every day and just enjoying the time doing nothing or reading. We also went hiking in the nearby State Park which was great. The cabin was very cozy and had everything we needed. Communication with Kim was really easy-going. We definitely recommend the cabin to anyone who wants to get away from everything for a while.

Great stay! The place was well stocked, clean and just as advertised. Such a great location near the river with a fire pit. We really enjoyed the screened in porch.

Perfect lake front access with peaceful views. Plenty of room for 4 couples. Ice fishing was a little slow but we all caught some nice fish and had a great time. We would surely come back. Host was very responsive

Spent a long weekend at this cute little cabin. My husband and I loved it so much, we wish we could buy it! I do wish there would have been a shower instead of just a bathtub and it was dog friendly. We would love to come back every year but we have a growing family and hate to leave our furry friends behind. Overall, beautiful location, peaceful, and quite. Perfect for a getaway!

Excellent cabin that had everything we needed to feel right at home for our stay. We have used this cabin twice for our group and look forward to using it again next season if it’s available.

Amazing stay here with our two pups. The road the house is on is perfect to take a walk. All the watercraft were so fun, especially the stand up paddle board and paddle boat. There’s a lovely french pastry shop you can kayak to and such beautiful sunsets. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Rockwood retreat was awesome! Felt at home very clean and Michael was very nice and helpful. Definitely recommend this place for people close to boat landing, snowmobile trails. A nice gateway for 5 days. Will be coming back again!

We stayed during the fishing derby and got a pretty good snow storm, Kerr was super responsive making sure we could get in and out during the bad weather. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful getaway home in the woods. The view especially of the sunrise is spectacular. We loved being there.
