The Historic Garden Cottage

An historic free-standing building on our 12 acre property "Claremont" (c.1857), the Garden Cottage has been fully renovated to offer a unique place to stay in beautiful, peaceful and historic surroundings. The accommodation is totally private, with a queen bed, en suite bathroom and basic food preparation facilities (fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle). It has a split system for heating and cooling. The Garden Cottage is approx. 3.4 km to the heart of Castlemaine township, and is only a short walk to the lovely Botanical Gardens.

“The Studio Behind the House With The Yellow Door” is a well-established AIRBNB in Castlemaine. It is a complete self-contained guest house; open plan lounge, kitchenette, separate bedroom, bathroom/toilet with shower. Stylishly designed and decorated. Light and airy, yet very private. We don't list "breakfast provided," but we do add bread and milk (gluten and dairy free if requested) and lots of other things to make a light breakfast. This self-contained studio is tucked below our house. It's a totally separate and private space, air conditioned, double glazed and with its own off-street parking and access. It is within walking distance to the town centre, The Mill Complex, The Bridge Hotel and the Botanic Gardens; and just a 7 min walk up the hill from the railway station. Enjoy fabulous views to the east from the lounge, bedroom and your private balcony across the town to Mt Alexander.
