Family-friendly holiday rentals in Nea Chalkidona

My family of eight stayed at the residence. Great accommodations, good location and within easy walk to grocery stores and restaurants. Anna (host) was very friendly and very responsive when we needed assistance. The house is multi story with plenty of stairs, but it did have a lift for family members who could not navigate the stairs easily. Overall, it was a great location and house worked well for our family. Highly recommend if in need of a house with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms.

One of the most enjoayable stays ever! The house is beautiful, unique and in a very interesting neighbourhood - authentic Athens experience away from the touristy crowds, but still well within walking distance to Acropolis and other major attractions. Multiple cafes and restaurants within a few minutes walk, convenience store, bakery and others. Ilias is a great host - friendly, very communicative and super helpful - provided us with a bunch of Athens tips and helped sort out a few issues. I can't recommend this enough. Looking forward to visiting again <3

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning Airbnb, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the beauty of the space. The decor was modern and cozy, with an incredible attention to detail that made it feel like a true home away from home. But what truly made this stay unforgettable was the host. He was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. He provided great local recommendations and even checked in throughout my stay to make sure everything was perfect. It was clear he genuinely cared about the guests’ experience. The apartment is wonderful, spacious and has many more amenities than described. It is a house with everything you may need. It is also very peaceful with beautiful balconies. It is ideal also for families with toddlers, there is a nice park nearby. We had a great stay!

Leah's apartment was perfect. Just a 3 to 4 minute walk to the metro and 5 to 6 stops to downtown Athens. It was exactly as described and pictures were accurate. She was quick to respond to all of my messages. I didn't have any Euros on me yet and she drove me to a bank to use the ATM. She then drove me around the neighborhood and showed me her favorite places to eat and get coffee. We ate at a few or ordered in. There is also a cute bakery near the metro. The house does smell like cigarettes but that didn't bother us. If you have asthma this might affect your stay. This is Leah's personal home, which I liked due to her making extra money and not supporting a company who buys up properties and forces locals out of home ownership. If we ever make it back to Athens we would 100% stay here again. Thanks again Leah for a great stay!

the apartment is in a quiet area but very close to the Acropolis, a perfect compromise - central without being in the middle of the mess. Easy to find parking nearby, lots of grocery stores, fruit, vegetables, bakery, bars. You can breathe a little more authentic atmosphere than the more touristy areas, which are still a ten-minute walk away.

We had a pleasant stay at Maria's! The location is quiet but in a lively neighborhood, it was very clean, Maria was very accommodating and friendly, everything was as described.

This is my second time staying at Maria's, and it has been perfect. I love how cozy and warm the apartment is and at the same time has everything you could possibly need, you just feel right at home. Maria is a very sweet and bubbly person and has a contagious laugh :) we met when I first arrived and she made sure that I have all the information I needed about the apartment. Since it was Christmas time, Maria had beautiful Christmas lights and decorations that just made me smile every time I entered the apartment. She also had some Greek Sweets for Christmas which were delicious! Once you stay at Maria's Im certain it will always become your first choice when visiting Voula/Athens.

Place was at the center of all the Athenian action, especially the main attractions - the Acropolis and Agora. Hosts were super responsive, giving us clear directions for check-in, recommending good restaurants, and setting up an early-morning ride to the airport. Will certainly visit again!

The house was immaculately clean and very quiet .helma answered all our questions quickly. The neighborhood was beautiful. It was smelly. There is transportation by metro to the center. There is transportation to the airport by bus. We were satisfied.

Very nice and clean apartment in the suburbs of Athens. Our trip to Athens one of the days took only 40-50 minutes each way. The hosts live on the top floor and are always ready to help, they are exceptionally intelligent and delicate people. There is a Lidl store 8 minutes away with everything you need and the kitchen is fully equipped. We took a break from the noise of the city and enjoyed the sounds of the village. Thank you!!

An absolutely magnificent place! Hard to imagine that you can find a place like this in a large city! It was a short walk from restaurants, supermarket and the metro. Rooftop pool with great privacy was wonderful on hot days and also swimming at night with the city lights in the background. Rooftop terrace was overlooking the city and with views to Lycabettus hill and nature on the other side. On many evenings we ordered food in and ate at the rooftop terrace. We were a group of six and could not have been more pleased with our stay. Dimitris was very helpful and a great host!

Fantastic place in a great location. Host was perfect with communication and very helpful on arrival about all the local places and amenities. Roof top pool area is a great place to chill in the evening.

We were a group of 9 and had a perfect stay at Alexandra’s villa. The space was large, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the utilities we needed. While we had a bit of trouble with the hot water in the shower, everything else was fantastic. Alexandra was incredibly friendly and helpful, always quick to respond and eager to assist us in any way she could. The communication was amazing, and we truly appreciated her support throughout our stay. It was so difficult for us to leave because we loved it so much. Thank you, Alexandra!

We have a brilliant time at Nikkos’ lovely villa. It’s quiet, private and the pool is wonderful. It’s really handy for Vari and other places on the coast but you do need a car. It was the perfect retreat for us. Nikkos is such a friendly host. Nothing is too much trouble for him. We would like to thank Nikkos for a great holiday!

We’ve had a fantastic few days staying at Petros’ apartment. Located within about 30 mins walk to all the main attractions (or 5 mins to metro station if you’re not the walking type!), it’s in a peaceful location, just underneath the viewing area of the highest point in Athens. (If you’re not very mobile this might not be the place for you as there’s a pretty steep climb to get there). All amenities were available including pool towels for the rooftop pool, sunscreen if you forget your own, coffee and most importantly of all, a couple of cold beers and some water in the fridge!! Petros was very helpful - he arranged our transport from the airport even though we landed late at night and really helped us out with a late checkout so we didn’t have to hang around with our luggage! In summary, if you’re heading to Athens and want a nice apartment and a great host, I’d highly recommend this place!
