Houseboat holiday rentals in North America

We had a fantastic time, we rented a boat enjoyed the water, had a great time in town. I would definitely recommend staying for a few days.

A very clean space with plenty of to spread out. As convenient as you can get for fishing.

Perfect view! Easily accessible to downtown, Grouse mountain, and walkable to restaurants in the area.

Our three night stay at Kim’s place was excellent. The houseboat is well designed and immaculate. The furniture is comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. Kim was always responsive to any questions. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the turtles and birds. There are many restaurants in Sanford or just stay at the harbor and eat at the deli or the bar. We would love to stay again.

What an idyllic experience. Truly the best experience surrounded by nature- water, tree line, loons, etc. Nothing quite like waking up to 2 loons outside your float, the sun beaming in and the calm sounds of water, or going to sleep with a sky full of stars and the milky way beaming down on you. The boat was so quaint, so functional and everything you need for a relaxing stay, including two very powerful gas stoves good for cooking most meals, and a nice warm shower while you look out into the pond. It was a very easy paddle to shore if you wanted to go out for food, or for daytime adventures. Also a very gentle paddle around the pond for exploration. Rheanna was fantastic- responsive, welcoming and easy to get along with. She was very accommodating and we are very grateful we got to stay on her boathouse. It was a very easy and comfortable stay, so for those feeling apprehensive about the challenges of life on a boat, I wouldn't worry. The highest of recommendations! We'll be back!

We loved this place. Wish we had booked a couple more days to explore the island. There is free parking but you kind of have to pay in the adjoining lot, go down the dock and get yourself in and read the welcome book where the free parking is described with a map and where the parking pass is. This is not clear in the arrival instructions but it’s only 2 bucks and once you see it all it makes sense. We unloaded our car from the paid lot as it was much closer then went and parked free from then on. None of the above should discourage anyone from staying here though because it’s a terrific place! Nice welcome basket was greatly appreciated. Lobster and ice cream just a short walk away and tons of shops not much further. Loved it!

The Driftwood houseboat was delightful! Located on Iowa’s only island.. Beautiful views of the marina; right along the Mississippi river. Great location for getting to natural areas, plus towns up and down the Mississippi in Illinois and Iowa. I would recommend it. We would like to go back and try another houseboat. Kelly was Wonderful!

Loved having a different/unique place to stay while in Door county. The houseboat is literally next to the steel bridge but noise was not a problem. What I had not counted on was the very gentle swaying of the boat though this did not affect our stay at all. The beds were very comfortable, the houseboat was clean. The directions to get there were detailed and clear. Loved sitting up on the deck watching the world go by! We did have one issue while we were there, Mary was incredible responsive and the issue was solved promptly! Loved the guy who came to resolve the issue, he was full of local history and information! Great experience!

Absolutely relaxing and beautiful getaway. So magical to be literally on the water with beautiful views and amazing patios both on the East and the West side. And the place is super comfy and decorated with so much love, beauty and fun decorations, arts and amazing plants all over. So much detail every corner you look. And the hosts are absolute delight and super communicative. Unique stay! Would love to go back as I have already!

My husband and I had such a relaxing time staying here! We felt like we were having a mini adventure, but still had all the essentials we needed. We saw manatees, dolphins, and tarpon. And we fished off the back dock at night. It was so beautiful how clear the skies were from the view of this house boat, we saw so many stars. We’ll be back again and I’m already sending the link to friends who were asking about our stay!

It was a very unique place with wonderful views, it was very clean, a comfortable bed, & close to many restaurants! It was perfect!!

Husband and I stayed in the houseboat for a night after attending Rascal Flatts. My only regret is not staying longer. The neighborhood was beautiful, and we felt very safe during our stay (double coded entry and a security camera on the dock). The houseboat was cozy, with the perfect view off the back deck. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and the entire place was thoughtfully decorated to optimize space. I would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful houseboat exactly like in the pictures. Being the end unit, it has the best view of the river and Battleship North Carolina. It also has better privacy and access convenience to the community picnic area. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Everything was perfect!

If you are looking for a peaceful, private and beautiful location to stay, Natalie's houseboat is the place for you! This place was awesome and so was Natalie! She made sure we had everything we needed (and then some) to make this the best stay ever. The houseboat was spotless and very well appointed. Loved having coffee on the upper deck, being right on the water, watching the sunsets from the jacuzzi every evening, the daily visits from dolphins and even a manitee, I could go on and on. Thank you for a most relaxing and enjoyable stay. Needless to say, we will be back!

The view at high tide was better than the view at low tide - but the view at night from the deck in any tide was really special. It is so quiet and peaceful and with the moon on the water it is a spot to spend a lot of time enjoying. The weather was a little uncooperative for us at the time we were there but good enough for us to know we want to come back and take advantage of it all again. And we saw one of the otters right next to the back deck!

Our houseboat stay in Wilmington, NC was a one-of-a-kind experience that I won’t soon forget. The boat itself was charming, clean, and surprisingly spacious, with cozy touches that made it feel like a true home away from home. Waking up to gentle waves and waterfront views was absolutely magical. The location is fantastic—tucked just far enough away to feel peaceful and private, yet still a quick drive or walk to downtown Wilmington’s shops, restaurants, and attractions. I loved sitting on the deck in the mornings and evenings, soaking in the quiet beauty of the river. The only downside was the parking situation. The lot is a dirt and gravel area that’s a bit uneven, with patches of grass and not much lighting at night. It’s manageable, but if you're arriving after dark or have mobility issues, it’s something to be aware of. That said, once you're on board, all of that fades away. The hosts were wonderful—friendly, communicative, and eager to make sure we had everything we needed.

Our stay on this houseboat in Annapolis was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in the serene beauty of the water and had a front-row view of Annapolis's charming waterfront. The proximity to local restaurants and shops made it so convenient to explore the area, yet returning to the boat always felt like our own little retreat. One of the memorable moments was having dinner on the top deck. Watching the sun set over the water as we enjoyed a meal was an experience we’ll never forget. The gentle sway of the boat, combined with the spectacular view, created the perfect backdrop for unwinding and making memories. There are so many other wonderful details about this place that made it unique, from the cozy yet spacious interiors to the thoughtful amenities provided by the host. For anyone looking for a unique, peaceful getaway with access to everything Annapolis has to offer, this houseboat is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

Loved our stay here!! Rebecca was an amazing hostess — easy to connect with, responsive, friendly, kind — and we loved everything about our houseboat. It was clearly decorated by ladies with good taste, it was clean, comfortable, and between the candles, the white noise machines, and the diffusers in the bedroom to the coffee station and the well-equipped kitchen, they thought of everything! The whole houseboat experience was just epic, too! Absolutely would recommend staying here, no questions asked. My only regret is not staying longer!

Will definitely come back and revisit! Great host and great scenery!
