Cottage holiday rentals in North Devon District

We had an excellent stay. The home is lovely and very comfortable. It is well equipped and the fire is great. Would recommend and hopefully return!

We loved our stay at Surridge Cottage! The location was so peaceful and secluded - we loved spending our eve in the hot-tub star gazing. The cottage itself was perfect for four people and lovingly restored. There’s lots to see and do nearby - we went on some great walks and had lunch nearby at Spelt, which was delicious! Highly recommended ☺️

We had an amazing stay at Liberty Barn. From beginning to end it was great, and we had no problems at all. Was easy to find, great parking and Mark met us at the door. We were given a full tour, and he gave us great advice and recommendations, he was just lovely, so friendly. The spa was so beautiful and was set up for us to use on the night of arrival, and Tracey and Mark checked another message the next evening to enquire if we’d like to use it again that evening, and again everything was set up for our use. The cottage was beautiful, the decoration was so lovely and warm, there were loads of amazing films and books available for entertainment, and the facilities were amazing. The cottage was everything we’d want in a home, and we’ll definitely be returning. 10/10

Couldn’t recommend Lorraine and Jeff’s cottage enough! From the moment we arrived we were greeted at the cottage with their very friendly dog Blue! They showed us around the area and gave us some recommendations. Everything was spotless which really helped us to relax for our weekend away. The views are gorgeous, in all weather conditions however we were very lucky to have blue sunny skies on the Saturday which allowed us to go walking around the woodlands followed by an evening in the hot tub! We really enjoyed watching all the nature and especially the birds and squirrels on the bird feeder just outside the lounge window. The fire is perfect of an evening time, and the bed is extremely comfortable! Thanks for having us x

Stayed over Christmas. The little touches left by Sue were lovely, mince pies, mulled wine and a Christmas tree made it feel special. Beautiful Lodge right by the beach. Sue's place had everything you needed. Beds are comfy and the Lodge was spotlessly clean throughout. 100% recommend staying here!

Our stay at Orchard Cottage was magical. Lower Marsh Farm is a beautiful setting and really helped my partner and I to truly relax. The cottage was such a relaxing environment to come back to after exploring cornwall, and the hot tub really made it extra special. Olivia was a superb hostess, and greeted us and talked us through where we could find local amenities and checked if we had any requirements. We absolutely loved it here and will be returning :))

Gorgeous cottage in a really picturesque place. Accommodation has all necessary amenities. Kaye & Richard are lovely hosts - hospitable & knowledgeable. Beautifully scenic walks literally on their doorstep. And it’s just a short drive (20 mins) from the coast where there are some stunning walks. Could have done with a couple more days to explore the area!

Third time staying here and it never disappoints! Thank you Linsey for another relaxing stay without hiccups! Hopefully we will be back again soon.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Very quiet and peaceful. Comfortable beds and piping hot water. All the kitchen facilities that we needed, except for dishwasher, but coped with a little elbow grease for 3 days! Would happily stay here again.

We had a lovely October half term stay in Rose Cottage on Cotmore farm. It’s a very well appointed bolt hole for a couple and pooch with a great wood burner. Small safe garden outside the cottage but you do have the freedom to roam the farm. Lots of great costal walks and places to eat nearby. Would recommend the nearby Cricket Inn, the best Mussels I’ve ever had and dog friendly. Actually everywhere we visited was dog friendly. I managed to have a swim in the sea on November the 1st (no wet suit…!). Very invigorating, and surprisingly not too cold. Watched on by peregrine falcons. The owners of Cotmore were very friendly and always on hand, and responded very quickly to messages before the trip. The fresh eggs and welcome pack were a nice touch as was Sue’s art work in the cottage. Some lovely friendly places to visit nearby - you get used to the single track roads very quickly albeit don’t expect to come home with a clean car. ;-)

The cottage was a few minutes drive from the beach and also close to enjoyable places to eat. All the facilities we needed and despite the cold weather outside, we were nice and warm inside. An excellent fenced off garden for our dog who thoroughly enjoyed his stay here, as did we, Thank you, Bryn.

We had a great time staying at Caroline’s place. We thought it was good value for money, clean, spacious, lots of nice thoughtful touches, good amenities to travel with our baby, nice location. We particularly enjoyed the log burner with plenty of firewood, the bird feeders outside one of the windows, lovely bathtub with plenty of hot water and smooth running of the electric car charger. The property is dog friendly and we were aware of a faint dog odour, which was probably the only downside.

Stunning countryside, warm and welcome cottage, great facilities, fireplace, kitchen living rooms all neat and warm design. Great beds, wonderfull bathing towels bath and shower. Super to have stayed in the garden cottage for the second time. Thanks everybody!!

What an idyllic place ... we loved staying here and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a getaway. We were welcomed by 2 buzzards along the driveway, saw deer on the property and enjoyed a couple of lovely local walks. The location is a short drive from many stunning beaches - sadly we didn't have time to explore all the local recommendations of towns and pubs as we were only here for 2 nights. We'll have to come back another time! Thank you for your hospitality Clive.

We had a great stay in Ilfracombe. Helen’s suggestions for places to eat & drink were not only helpful but delicious too! The house is beautiful - clean, spacious, beautiful views. Really relaxing place to be! We loved the hot tub and the house is well equipped with everything you need. Helen responded promptly to any questions. Would recommend

Trevor & Sarah made us feel very welcome, and we're fantastic hosts. beautiful location, surroundings and accommodation. watching the birds on the garden feeders just outside in the garden with a nice glass of wine was so relaxing. completely recommend a stay here.

Our four-person family (2 teens) spent two nights there with our three puppies. The location was breathtaking. When constructing the area, the host clearly put a lot of love and care into it, keeping guests' comfort in mind. The hot tub, which our family used often, was the highlight. The beds were really cozy. During our two-night visit, we were able to prepare our meals with ease because the kitchen was completely furnished. Because of the breathtaking views, we will most certainly return in the summer. We are really grateful to Debra for making our daughter's 18th pre birthday celebration so special.

Brilliant wee cottage, perfect location for exploring the local area and beaches. The fire was a welcome addition in February!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage over Christmas. Glenda gave great directions and check in instructions, with dinning recommendations. She was very helpful throught the stay. The cottage was perfect, it was exactly as the photos, stylish, welcoming and luxurious. We didn't want to leave. Glenda had also gone the extra mile with lots of fabulous touches. We felt so welcome and the were overwhelmed with the gorgeous Christmas decorations, a lovely surprise. It was also well appointed, so many thoughtful details. We loved the butter dishes, lamps and artwork. Everything was very considered, clean and comfortable, which made for a relaxing stay. Great location and brilliant pizzas at the pub, just a walk away. There was a little park for the boys and the local shop in the neighbouring village was well stocked. We loved it and would love to stay again. Fantastic break, thank you so much. The perfect cottage escape.

Helen went above and beyond in making us feel welcome. The most delicious scones, cream and jam awaited us and then she gave us some homegrown tomatoes. Cottage was very warm and cozy.

Just that we had another wonderful stay and will be coming back soon to further explore the beautiful area Lovely little cottage stay, secluded and picturesque. Great for walks and nap in the afternoon in front of the fire
