Holiday rentals with a fireplace in North Uist

We had an amazing family trip during the Easter break 2025, stayed at Ian’s property Old Police House at Uig. Such a beautiful location, great view throughout the day.. stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed our time. There plenty of hikes and amazing things to do near the property. The Rha falls, Duntulm castle, Rubiha view point hike was also about 20mins from here by car. Ian was a kind and considerate host, was super responsive at all times.

What a great cottage for our family of 5. The location was outstanding. Easy walk to/from restaurants and shops. Quiet street with easy parking. The location is amazing if you plan to explore the Isle of Skye. You can easily go north or south to hit all of the highlights the Isle of Skye has to offer. We also recommend a visit to Raasay! Penny’s Cottage is outstanding. Adorably decorated and no detail missed. You feel relaxed and at home the moment you enter. We loved the wood burning stove. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean. Bedding was very comfortable. Many coat hooks in the entry too which was great for hanging our coats and lining up shoes (3 kids). The home is fully equipped with everything you need for a perfect holiday. We happened to meet Sarah too. She’s a joy! We are thrilled we were lucky enough to stay at Penny’s Cottage.

Brilliant Airbnb - everything very well thought out, stylishly decorated and in a beautiful location. Iain was incredibly helpful and provided us with some great recommendations before our stay, always responsive and happy to answer any questions. Would definitely recommend!!

Stunningly located house, with endless views. Light, warm and welcoming and expectionally clean. Jenny, our host, has been so helpful, thank you. It felt extremely homely and comfortable. A fantastic location for exploring the island. The pictures don't do it justice it is truly an amazing house with a great layout. Would definitely recommend to any and everyone.

Top accomodation, spacious and quiet with fantastic view over the valley. There is a tree house for kids and farm animals to pet. Sandra and Hamish live next door and help if needed. Would love to stay there again. Highly recommended!

Truly an exceptional place to relax on an exceptional island. We were particularly impressed by this beautiful place. The cottage excels in its impeccable beauty. From the cozy stay in front of the fire to the beautiful bedroom with ditto views. As far as we are concerned, this place is recommended.

Absolutely beautiful home. Unbelievable location looking out at the pretty harbour. Peaceful but with everything we needed close at hand. Skye is extraordinary. Magical. We loved the Three Chimneys (a special thing) including the one at Talisker (more casual). And Birch was great for coffee. Neist Point, Waternish and Raasay are beautiful in addition to all the well known places. We just had a fantastic time.

We had a wonderful stay at the Woodhouse. The property is fantastic. The furniture, kitchen and amenities are all modern and new, the bedrooms cosy and the bathrooms excellent (we loved the shower). We were welcomed with a basket of goodies too. The location is a a little way out from the main road down a single track road, but that’s normal for Skye. The photos don’t do the location and view justice. Nick was always fast to respond to any communication too. Highly recommended.

Amazing place to stay, breathtaking views out the window and such peace and quiet! Would definitely recommend to any friend interested in hiking in nature and walking by coastlines. Additionally, really high class food served 5-10 minutes walk away from the place! The Airbnb was clean and tidy and had local guides and games available in drawers which improved our stay even further! Thank you Sarah for a wonderful experience, and we'd love to come back!

Pur accomodation had to be changed last minute but the options provided were excellent and our eventual choice was just beautiful. Staff on hand were very helpful with the WiFi issue

Joyce and Brian are an extremely helpful and friendly host. The house offers some spectacular views of the Loch right in front of the property. The friendly sheep raised next to the property are a beautiful sight to enjoy. Last but not the least, Snowy, the friendly and welcoming Cat was a special surprise for us. She is well mannered and doesn't cross the set boundary. There is a Coop in less than 15 mins from the property, kitchen is well equipped to make the dish of your choice, with stunning views from the kitchen.

Had a fantastic stay over Hogmany. The flat was warm on arrival, which made all the difference. Lovely clean and comfy beds. Perfect central location, with plenty of bars and places to eat on your doorstep. Would highly recommend. Little gem in Portree!
