Shepherds hut holiday rentals in North Wales

Had a lovely few days stay. Was a very tranquil location and very relaxing. Stopping by to see the animals on site was a wonderful experience. The kitchen was equiped with enough pans to make meals while we stayed there. The shop was a wonderful touch to pick up produce from the farm or just a few ammenities that might be needed. So relaxing to sit in the hot tub in the evening after exploring local attractions which have very helpfully been highlighted in a small guide. Looking to return in summer to make full use of the bbq on site and firepit.

A beautiful place to stay that was very comfortable for our stay (2 adults, 2 children and a dog). Located a short drive from Barmouth town and beach, it is ideally located out of the way and within a very peaceful setting. The private garden is very well maintained and looks out to sea that shows beautiful sunsets. The shepherds hut was spacious enough for our stay and had everything that we needed. Thank you Hayley and Gareth. We had a lovely weekend.

The Cowboys hut was a beautifully made hut in an idyllic location. Danna left a lovely welcome hamper on arrival and the hut was clean and tidy. The log fire kept us toasty and we would love to visit again.

Amazing place! Unbelievable amount of effort has gone into the craftsmanship of the huts and the whole area of beautifully landscaped gardens and woodlands. Loved our stay and would highly recommend!

My husband and I arranged a last minute getaway to Charlotte’s place and what a find it was. The descriptions fully matched the listing - the only thing she didn’t state was how beautiful and idyllic it is - a very rare find! Charlotte and Mito were so welcoming, and it was lovely to meet Simon and Willow, their two black labradors. All we can say is, if you’re unsure whether to book - don’t be - you will not be disappointed. We definitely aim to return! Thank you Charlotte x

Arrived at Tan-y-capel hideaway and was immediately greeted by our hosts Rebecca and David, both were very friendly and we felt very welcome, we were showed to the shepherds hut which is a very short walk from where you park, they do provide a clean wheelbarrow to transport your items from the car to the hut which is very thoughtful and convenient. The hut is located in its own field and is completely private, there is a flower meadow on the walk towards the hut and the view from the property is beautiful. we were provided with a bottle of prosecco and some homemade cookies upon entering which is a really nice touch and we felt very welcomed, we were left to our own devices but told to contact if we needed anything. the place was absolutely spotless and I have no complaints about cleanliness whatsoever. the hot tub was constantly on and ready to use and David showed us how to use it. The hut was plenty warm enough with heating there if needed. We also met George the Goat ❤️

We had an amazing time at the snug. We loved being visited by the sheep, lambs, horses and cows. It was so peaceful and we were greeted by such a lovely friendly family and their pooch. The steep drive up the lane, once through the gate to the snug is very gravely and dips with larger stones at times. You do get up there as long as you take it slowly. The reward once there are the amazing views. The bed was really comfortable, great sleep. The weather was beautiful so we were able to sit out and eat. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

The best Easter Weekend spent at the hut! Had everything we needed and more. Lots of little attention to detail and extras. It was 4 days we’ll never forget. Cerys was so helpful and lovely! Myself, my husband and our 8 year old had the best time and can’t recommend enough. Big thank you to Cerys’s gorgeous twin girls that were the best tour guides and friend to our daughter. We really didn’t want to go home. We’ll be back 🩷 xx

We stayed at the hut for a couple of days and felt at home as soon as we arrived. The place was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. Amanda was a great host, offering local recommendations and always responding quickly. We also loved the location being so close to the Pontcysyllte aqueduct, perfect for some local walking and sightseeing. A highly recommended stay if you’re looking for a cozy rural getaway.

Beautiful hut. Designed, crafted and decorated to a high quality. Lots of privacy, having the oak field all to ourselves...the dogs loved it, as did we. Bob and Lisa were very friendly and hospitable. Highly recommend a stay.

We stayed at Ffarm Fach and it was our favourite trip we have ever done, the Shepard’s hut is absolutely gorgeous, the views are unbelievable and our stay was amazing! We loved it here and can’t wait to return! Thank you so much Fran!

We spent two days at this place with my family. My kid absolutely loved the open space and was happily running around. I would highly recommend it to my friends, and we will definitely return if we have the chance.

Margaret was an amazing host and her shepherds hut was perfect for a short weekend away in Anglesey. Ideal location being that anywhere we wanted to go was around 20-25 mins tops if not closer.

Great place in great location, small but everything you need

We returned back to stay at Carols place and glad that we did. Carol is proactive and helpful with information ahead of our stay, met us in person to welcome and showed us around with clear instructions for the accommodation. We notice and appreciate the love and care Carol puts into her place. The surroundings are peaceful, private and right in nature. The hot tub and bottle of welcome drink is greatly appreciated. We also made use of the local restaurants recommended. With the town close by there are plenty of amenities locally.

Our two days stay in the Shepard’s hut was everything we wanted and more. The views and privacy were amazing, just as we like it. The best part of all and the main reason to choosing this place was the inclosed/fence that surrounds the entire area we stayed, our two energetic cocker spaniel dogs absolutely loved the freeness to run about at all times. had a fantastic stay at the shepherds hut! The hut was very clean and cosy with everything provided. the surrounding views of the hills and mountains were outstanding! Beth as a host was amazing, she made sure we had everything we need and went extra doing things like lighting the hot tub so it was ready for our arrival. my gf and I are already talking about coming back, I couldn't recommend this place enough!

We had the most incredible stay at the Anglesey Hideaway Shepherds Hut. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest welcome we’ve ever experienced. The hut is beautifully designed, peaceful, and the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Nothing could have prepared us for the tranquility of waking up to those stunning views—watching the sunrise and sunset in such a serene setting was beyond blissful. The animals on the property added so much charm to our stay, and we especially fell in love with Ozwald (my partner is still joking about sneaking him home with us!). Everyone on the Anglesey Hideaway team was so friendly and helpful, always quick to respond to our queries and full of great local recommendations, especially for places to eat. We were also greeted with fresh eggs from their chickens and freshly ground coffee, which was the sweetest touch and made us feel so welcomed. Thank you for creating such a magical little getaway. Loved staying at the Shepherds hut. The place is breath taking, the hut is well equipped and Anne was there if we needed anything. We will definitely be returning at some point in the future.
