Holiday rentals with lake access in Northwest Territories

This stay was awesome. The host family was wonderful, forthcoming with GOOD recommendations for restaurants, aurora hunting and more, and even shared a home cooked dinner with us!!! Above and beyond, a great stay. Thank you!

For a very private, peaceful location with a variety of outdoor activities (equipment provided) -this place can't be beat. Almost new cabin with top notch appliances & finishes, many included amenities, some sourced locally such as birch syrup and waffle pancake mix grown in the Yukon. Easy drive into Whitehorse -20 min. in winter-on the Alaskan Hwy, good road. Jenny even had the electrical cord set up for car on our arrival. It was also comforting to know she was at other end of property in case we needed assistance ( being to the Yukon in the winter for the first time). The cabin was warm - we could regulate the heat and the fireplacce made it extra cosy. And we never tired of the view over the large pond, stunning at night with the moon shining over the snow expanse. One of the trails led to a teepee in the woods with thermorests for souls hardier than us to sleep outside. Jenny and the accommodations made our week in the Yukon very special. Thank you

Amazing scenery when looking outside the window. One can feel the connection to nature, the distant snow mountain around the lake, the fox walking past the window and giving a curious look. The house is sparkling clean and the house host thinks ahead of you in making your stay great experience.

I had a lovely stay at Gillian’s house! Would definitely stay again. I even saw a lynx while I was there from a distance. Her place is beautiful, clean and cozy. Gillian is a lovely host!

Her exceptional hospitality was truly outstanding! Thanks to the delicious breakfast and snacks, as well as the warm snow boots she provided, we were able to fully enjoy our time in Yellowknife. We also had the amazing experience of watching the breathtaking aurora from inside her home, which is located right next to the ice road. Her incredible generosity and kindness made our stay unforgettable!

We had one of the coziest and most comfortable places to stay in this extreme place- we visited for 3 days in first half of February at outside temperatures between minus 20 and 30°C! And meeting such friendly and caring hosts doubles the rewarding experience. It is a one floor apartment in a house with big terrace with view at the lake. Hosts live on the floors above. Absolutely OK for accommodating 3 adults- two in separate bedroom and one on the sofa in the living room. Fast and easy transfers from/to airport with local taxis at 22CAD. 15 min walk to downtown shops, best restaurant in town- in the same neighborhood. We had Aurora all nights, also exciting walk across the frozen lake to nearest natural attraction- the frozen waterfalls and most remarkable was time our host spent to show us interesting and nice places around Yellowknife. Overall, places like this are the reason I do AirBNB for over 10 years now. Highly recommended!

Fariba was incredibly warm and responsive, always ready to answer any questions and quickly resolving any issues. The space felt cozy and welcoming, with plenty of firewood to keep the place warm. It truly felt like home!

Very nice place to stay, have own garage, big kitchen, price a little bit high.

Great condo in a perfect location. A block from the river walk and so many restaurants nearby. We only needed to drive to the trailheads for skiing, winter hiking and fat biking. Comfy, firm bed, which is a bonus. We’ll be back next year!

The appearance of the Northern Lights from the window was easy to understand, and it was great to have a private space!The host was very friendly and lived on the same premises, so I was able to help as soon as I needed it. I was not good at English, but I was able to communicate smoothly by message, which was very helpful. Would love to come back again!
