Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Nottingham

Rachael has a top AirBnB rating because her place is superbly located and thoughtfully set-up. The cottage is very light, spacious, super comfortable and clean, and has all that you could want for a relaxing stay. Standout details are the list of walks and places to eat and drink, the views from the house, the really well equipped kitchen – and not forgetting Rachael’s greeting with a tin of home baked brownies, 2 ponies and 2 dogs! And the stag with antlers running in the next field… We will be booking our next stay at Rachael and Gerry’s cottage soon and hope to book the neighbouring Stables Cottage and superb looking cabin too for a visit with family.

Our short stay at Fox Cottage was amazing. The property is beautiful, spotless and comfortable. The views are spectacular! Andrew was a great host, very responsive and helpful and we really appreciated the very kind welcome hamper! Loads to do and see and there were even toys for our young son to play with! We loved it so much we’ve booked for next year!

We had a lovely overnight stay at the Snug, which is snug by both name and nature. Communication was all clear and very timely, accommodation was clean and as described, the outside road was busy in the day but didn’t disturb us overnight. Cromford Mills are fascinating and there’s lots to see nearby. We ate at Oakhill restaurant, which was stylish and delicious. There are more economical options in the village but this was a treat.

I booked the Hobbit Hut for a surprise for my mum for Mother’s Day and it was truly a wonderful weekend. Nicola is such a kindhearted and attentive host and she made our stay so lovely. The hut itself was beautiful, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. We loved sitting outside the hut and in the amazing wood-fired hot tub as it was so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed exploring the local area and the pub just up the road served great food. We would definitely recommend the hut to anyone looking for a relaxing, peaceful off-grid experience and think it would be amazing to stay there at anytime of year.

A beautiful cottage, with a charming layout, making the most of the fantastic views. We could have sat watching the views for hours and were only sorry we didn't have more time to enjoy the terrace! It was well appointed and felt very homely. We loved how convenient it was for walking into Matlock Bath (only 5 minutes) with its fish and chip shops, ice cream parlours, amusements and lovely riverside walk and 2 play parks. What a great location for us as a family and it was very handy to be able to leave the car at the house and walk to the cable cars for the Heights of Abraham. We appreciated the milk and tin of chocolate biscuits. One tip for anyone who visits is to park at the top of the house, and not take the car around to the front of the house to save having to reverse up the steep hill as the road at the bottom has now been cordoned off. Amazing location with plenty of walks from the door. Property feels quite secluded even though it is on a camping site. Garden is great and enclosed all round. Overall we will stay again. Great value for money!

What a lovely place with beautiful surrounding areas. A great pub close by and so easy to get too. The house was sooo nice and had everything we needed. Thank you we will be back 😀

A beautiful barn conversion, tastefully decorated with everything you need for a weekend away. Parking right outside was really handy. Lots of heating options including a log burner but we didn't need it ourselves as we had great weather. Kitchen had everything you needed. Lovely shower, too and a comfy mattress. The Tractor Shed is the perfect size for two + dog. Local pub (Jug and Glass) a mile walk away down a country lane served lovely beer and food and was very friendly. As a host Anna was great, always responsive, very flexible and helpful answering questions we had. We'd recommend and stay again.

Duck’s Crossing Cottage felt homely immediately and throughout our stay. Relaxing and beautiful surrounding in the lovely village of Egginton. The house and garden are spacious and well equipped. People in the village are very friendly. We look forward to staying here again in the near future. Many thanks Ros :)
