Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Nyeri County

Chose this amazing place to rest after hiking mount kenya and could not have wished for better! Super peaceful with a beautiful view - photos don’t do it justice. Margaret the housekeeper gave us the warmest welcome and was so helpful during our stay, and cannot recommend George the chef more!! Delicious food and he went above and beyond in providing for us. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Edita's place is a true gem. A peaceful, beautiful place in nature where you can walk in peace with the dogs, watch the birds and enjoy views of Mount Kenya. We felt immediately at home and didnt want to leave :) Lydia was so nice, friendly and helpful. The house is very cozy and comfortable, the beautiful veranda with the fireplace was the centerpiece of our stay. We will definitely come back.

Really nice house and very welcoming. We all liked it a lot, kids and adults. It is just outside of Nanyuki but very easy to find. There are few nice places in close vicinity including two lovely and really good restaurants. Susan’s house was very neat and clean and we had fantastic and peaceful time there. We had the best sleep ever! Jonathan and George are caretakers in the house and will assist you with anything you need. Very helpful. We will definitely be back.

On arrival we were welcomed by Raymond & Kendi at the front. Once signed in Kendi directed us to the tent and assisted with the luggage. Upon the first few days the team and especially Maggie and Anthony made us feel welcomed and were attentive to every need. The location is beautiful, peaceful and welcoming. The local wildlife is also there to make you welcome, they will make some sounds in the night but don’t fear as the security measures in this place are top notch. Peter and Eric are great at helping prepare your rooms for the evening and are great guides to take you around the grounds in the evening ensuring your safety. You can go for a local hike, ask for Isaac Mwangi as he’s a local database. Finally Betty and her cohost were amazing, responsive and very proactive making for a stellar experience. I can’t wait to go back.

My family loved this beautiful farmhouse. The view of Mount Kenya from the patio is amazing and the place has a serene environment. Gorge is a wonderful host, great communication, helped us with a late check-in when we got lost. Ol Pejeta is just 5-10 mins away. Cleanliness was top notch too.

Perfect stay on a beautiful farm with a lot of birds. It’s a birders paradise !! Very peaceful. The owner is very warm and friendly and also is a keen birder. So a very good place to stay .

Very nice space, clean and the area is very peaceful and quiet.

The cottage was such a nice escape from Nairobi. We booked very last minute and Maureen was so great. It's very private and in lovely green surroundings. There is a deck in the yard where you can see a great view of Mt. Kenya. The caretaker, Peter, was so friendly and responsive. He walked us down to a beautiful waterfall -- I definitely recommend. Bring good walking shoes though because there are some rocky paths and steep stairs down to the falls. The yard goes all the way around the house and is completely fenced in. It made security very solid and our dog loved it! He got to wander around and enjoy the weather. We got there in the dark and her directions were so good that we didn't have a problem. We had a normal car and the roads were fine for it, just be aware of pot holes.

Awesome hosts. The home was super clean, spacious, private and overall the best. It looks way better than the pictures! The hosts were readily available and super helpful with suggestions for stuff to do, places to see, literally any help we needed. Ivy is the best!!!! Definitely going back soon.
