The Commune of Dos Amates - Cabaña

FabyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Catemaco, Dos Amates, Nanciyaga Nature Reserve... Everything close by, a unique experience. We had to reach in front of a quite strong North that was sticking, that resulted in drizzle plus wetlands, rain, loss of electrical energy; never lost its charm... you can decide to simply stay there, cook, eat rich on the terrace and tu patio jungle and stream with particular waterfall no problem, special romantic nights, adventurous spirit walks with a touch of mysticism ... or you can go out a few minutes away communicated by taxi or mototaxi good prices and honest people and try all the delights of the surroundings...do the boat trips to the mangroves ...go to Nanciyaga and get to know a little more about the culture ... everything is amazing there .. more in love with this roots and land of my husband, more connected with myself, with my children, with everything that surrounds me, I recommend

I enjoyed my stay and James was helpful with lending me things and providing translations. I rented a scooter for 3 days 400 pesos per day to make it easy to get to the main part of town

New cabin in the woods and near the river / Starlink

MishaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Alberto’s cabin was an amazing homebase for a peaceful retreat into the mountains, and everything has met or exceeded any of our expectations. The location was great — remote, peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by the forest in the valley, with great views and directly facing the sunset. It’s spacious, clean, new, warm (the wood-fired stove was great for the cold nights!), and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s a 15-minute walk to town, all uphill — so a bit of a small adventure, but tuk-tuks are available throughout the day and arrive quickly if/when needed. Alberto’s communication was amazing, quick, and super helpful, and if/when his on-site assistance was needed, he was there within minutes. Looking forward to coming back soon!

CHIC Cabaña Ágata W/ POOL And Beach access;

AnjaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We loved our stay at Juans! The house, the garden and it‘s surroundings are absolutely stunning. It‘s a paradise getaway to wind down and relax with the beach only a two minute walk away. We were there without a car or scooter and brought our own food. The house is equipped with everything you need and more. There‘s also a small shop down the road for basic necessities. Juan was a very helpful, friendly and responsive host. Thanks a lot for this special experience!

The Blue Cottage of Cabañas Gemelos

MikeRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A wonderful cabaña right by the beach for anyone looking forward to an open-air nature-first retreat on the Oaxaca coast. A few seconds from the beach for a morning walk or a quick dip (note: due to currents + swells a lot of the beaches in this are not so swimming friendly), and a short wander into San Augustinillo for a sunbathe, brunch, or a morning boat-tour for whale + dolphin watching. Mario is an amazing host, always taking care of our needs, refilling our drinking water, checking in on us and helping us book a taxi. We slept downstairs with the mosquito net but there is also a lockable mezzanine room with space for another 3 to sleep. Toilet + shower situation is pretty rudimentary but no problem at all for those that enjoy a bit of outdoor living. All in all a highly recommendable beach lodging to make your home whilst in Oxacan beach paradise.

La Casa Del Arbol

Amazing and attentive hosts. We had a wonderful stay and time in Puerto Escondido. How fun to stay in a tree house! The place was in a great location - only a short walk to the main town/beach. Would definitely recommend! Special shout-out to their adorable puppy Loretta who was totally adorable!

MezCali-Blue Monday-AC-among trees

Maureen and DanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Edvin's Mezcali Blue Monday Cabana was great. We enjoyed breakfast on the deck, and the spacious air conditioned room. Very clean. Host quickly responsive to our queries. Internet worked well, Hot water shower was perfect. Open the windows for natural breezes. True, you will hear many birds (especially in the morning) but you also hear trucks and motorbikes chugging up the hill due to road proximity. This unit and host are highly recommended.

Very lovely. Great value. Farther out so a way to make coffee or tea would be the only thing I’d suggest.
