Cabin holiday rentals in Old Rag Mountain

Just got home from our little get away. The cabin was wonderful! Had everything we wanted. The view waking up to from the bedroom window was breathtaking. The kitchen had everything you could need and the view from that huge picture window was beautiful! We enjoyed the large hot tub and made good use of the pool table. The weather wasn't the best and got a little chilly but the fireplace helped with that. This weekend was exactly what we needed....Beauty, relaxation and peace! Thanks Mark!

We had a fantastic stay at this cabin in the Shenandoah Mountains! The cabin was spotless and well-maintained, making it a comfortable retreat after long days of exploring. Communication with the owners was excellent—they were responsive, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. The kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of cooking supplies and utensils, which made meal prep easy and convenient. The large dining room table was perfect for gathering together for meals. The bunk room was also a great feature, providing plenty of space and comfort. One of our favorite parts was the fireplace—it made the cabin feel extra cozy, especially in the evenings. While the cabin didn’t have direct mountain views, the scenery was still beautiful, and the mountains were just a short drive away. Wonderful time. The cabin is perfect and very generous with amenities. If it's not there, I doubt you'll need it. You will need a 4WD to get up the hill but not difficult or unsafe. Very quiet. Feels private. Outdoor cameras over driveway and front door. Hot tub area private. I highly recommend this cabin. Great clean property with high end amenities. Host was 5 stars. Looking forward to a return.

We had an amazing stay at the cabin! The cabin was clean and beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. Checking in and out was very easy. The nearby waterfall is such a cool addition! As others have noted, the driveway to get to the cabin is bumpy. We had to drive slowly and carefully in our small car.

The only part of the stay that didn't get 5 stars was that it wasn't quite as secluded as I'd hoped for. There are a number of homes on the road to the cabin, and a thin line of trees breaks the view. Admittedly unless you're looking for the other houses you don't notice them, so I got past that quickly enough. That said, the cabin was perfect, clean, cozy and everything worked as stated. Having grown up in the country, but living in a city now, I felt the stress melt away as soon as I stepped into the massive yard where my son and I spent a lot of time playing soccer and other sports. My son and wife really enjoyed the hot tub. The location is 15 minutes away from Luray which meant that the stars were amazing for the brief break in the clouds we got, but that it was close enough to get groceries and take out as needed. Plus it's about 20 minutes away from Front Royal so there are places to go and enjoy like Skyline or Luray Caverns. Jackie was a great and responsive host!

We absolutely LOVED the cabin and didn't want to leave. It was beautiful, a great mix of rustic and modern. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the bathrooms. We enjoyed having the hot tub and the fire pit. The beds were comfy. It was a peaceful and a fantastic trip. We plan to stay again in the future.

we had a great experience. it's very tranquil and a very nice get away. I needed it and had a quiet night enjoying the hot tub, playing board games and just relaxing away from the real world.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Our two girls were happy to run around the yard and play in the little playground. The house was clean, neat, and homey. The view is spectacular. The hot tub was plus. Jan even put a sign that said happy birthday for my husband. So thoughtful! thank you, Jan! Sylvia

This location was fantastic, plenty of room and things to do. Very peaceful. The host had clear directions on how to make this stay as smooth as possible, and was very communicative ! A true hidden paradise. Ideal location to unwind, recharge, and refresh. I enjoyed the most restful sleep I've had in years! The cabin is equipped with all the essentials. The hosts provide excellent pre-arrival information and responded promptly to my questions.

I planned to propose to my girlfriend over a romantic farm and Shenandoah getaway weekend. Andrea was very excited and helped make the weekend really special. The grounds were amazing and so beautiful with trails to take walks on and many animals to see. We brought our puppy and we had plenty of space to safely let him off leash to run around. He had as much fun as we did (and we got engaged!) Her restaurant recommendations were spot on, so definitely give those a try. We did the farm tour on the last day, and it was so personal, interactive and informative. Do not skip the tour!!! Andrea was so kind and generous with us. We cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Loved our stay! Beautiful house, beautiful views, fenced yard was our city dogs dream. 15 mins to Shenandoah, close to the state park. We will be back!!

Very much enjoyed a short but sweet stay in this cabin! Appreciated the little touches including both fireplaces being set up for use upon arrival & maps of the area being laid out on the kitchen island. This quiet, pet-friendly Airbnb was a great escape for the weekend. Thank you for having us 🙂

Stayed four nights. Had a fire in the fire pit each night. Wood was delivered each day. The yurt was clean and spacious for the four adults. Beautiful views! So Relaxing and peaceful. Loved it!

We really enjoyed the cozy cottage. The surrandings were beautiful. The hot tub was a great addition. Nice size and very clean. The cottage is a great place for a family get away. I will return. Thankyou so much for wverything.

Buck's Run was a beautiful cabin tucked away in the Shenandoah. It was a peaceful getaway for my friends and we enjoyed lounging about playing board games, reading, soaking in the hot tub, and staring out into the woods as the snow fell. Jen was very proactive in making sure we were going to be ok with the incoming storm and Pete their local manager was very responsive with questions we had.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very clean and comfortable cabin, easy to access, beautiful neighborhood. Wifi was also very fast for teleworking and we appreciated it being dog-friendly. Would stay again!!

What a fantastic weekend! This cabin was so sweet, in a peaceful and beautiful location, close to the river, with chickens, tons of birds, our own little porch cat, and kayaks and canoes available at any time. It is also in the perfect location to visit Luray Caverns and Shenandoah. The cabin was comfortable, well stocked, and the fresh eggs were delicious. Owners are very responsive. Highly recommend!

My friends and I had a really relaxing weekend escape here enjoying the views, stargazing, fires, and hanging out while cooking in the fully equipped kitchen. A perfect spot to both disconnect and reconnect. Just remember to turn the hot tub up as soon as you arrive.

Enjoyed a relaxing long weekend with the (elderly) pup. Fished, grilled, and really enjoyed the morning walks around the farm land up the hill. Hope to visit again!

Our stay was delightful, the cabin was beautiful, and Shaleen was incredibly flexible and responsive when we were hit with inclement weather. We hope to be back soon!
