Castle holiday rentals in Pays de la Loire

A fantastic family chateau that accommodated 3 families comfortably, and even nicer in real life than in the photos. Large well kept grounds and loads of space to explore. There is plenty to do in the local area. Basic amenities within a few minutes' drive including a great riverside bistro in Daon, the nearby large town of Chateau-Gontier is 15 mins away while Angers is around 40 mins away for everything a city provides. Highly recommended!

Beautiful gite in a fantastic location with lots of character. Well equipped with large fridge freezer, Nespresso machine, dishwasher, washing machine, new cooker and plenty of crockery and cooking equipment. Swimming pool was very well used in the sweltering temperatures. Pleasant outside eating area with lots of birds, wildlife and views to watch. Excellent host who was very helpful and friendly. Good wifi. Lots of activities to do nearby.

The cottage is part of the castle. The site is beautiful, very quiet with a huge park. Great for a large family.

wonderful place to stay, we really enjoyed all the 'on site' resources such as the table tennis, pool table, Maze and of course the pool. Great base from which to visit more of the region

Spent a beautiful week after Christmas with my family. Was a perfect farm stay, quiet and picturesque, lots of walks, sitting by the fire reading and cooking. All amenities well provided, had raclette on NYE. An amazing stay.

Everything is fantastic. It's so awesome to stay in such a castle. The house breathes history. If I have to put a hit on it is that in the village there is just not a bar and that it is generally far from the areas to visit. Even so, it has been unforgettable days with the family. We have gone two marriages with five children each and we have left over rooms. We had a great time in the house.

My family and I had the most wonderful time staying here. The castle is full of history. The rooms are so comfortable and everything is in amazing condition. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We had a new year with friends and family. The castle allowed us to each have our space while enjoying all the comforts available together. Was a very unique and cute experience! Felt like staying in the princesses room of a castle. Beautiful stained glass, nice decor, big bathroom, great location. Lorie was very sweet and accommodating to our late arrival. Getting there by car can be a little tricky so read through her instructions a few times!

Wow! This place was truly magic and way beyond our expectations. The chateau was perfectly well furnished with great taste. But more impressive were the grounds around the chateau. The views from the windows are incredible, with very old beautiful trees, grassland, a river, like paintings! We took every day walks of several kilometers among those trees within the property, with total silence. Sometimes we biked in the property. On top of this, there is a nice swimming pool and a playing room that our daughter loved, and the river where we could go with a canoe. We stayed here around 3 weeks and plan to return.

Our stay was short but very pleasant. The location is great to unwind. The place is surrounded by trees and century-old buildings, and our hostess was available and welcoming. The accommodation is in an old building, with some precautions to be taken, but combined with all modern amenities (equipped kitchen, washing machine...) and with a good fireplace, it was ideal!

Our stay in the small castle in the Loire Valley with two Dutch families was nothing short of great. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and there was a lovely welcome basket full of local products. This gesture was the start of an unforgettable vacation. The accommodation itself was magnificent. Classic details, an up-to-date kitchen and the castle was neatly clean. We enjoyed the beautiful weather and the large pool. The quiet environment and the beautiful views contributed to a feeling of complete relaxation. One of the highlights of our stay was the dinner that was specially prepared for us. We have enjoyed a culinary feat in the beautiful dining room, an experience that really made us feel like a dinner on stand. In addition, we were able to enjoy the delicious regional wines during our stay. All in all, a stay to recommend.

A great stay in a superb and extremely relaxing site - ideal for a stay with family - Fabienne and her husband are very friendly and develop a very nice project.

The house exceeded our expectations, absolutely stunning and like something out of a fairytale.. Denise was always responsive and super helpful and despite us arriving after 11pm she was there to greet us with open arms. Overall our party had a fantastic stay and will surely return!!

We enjoyed our stay in the castle. Stefan is attentive, good communication with him, he is very responsive. The cottage is well equipped, we had a good time at the pool which is clean, with a shower and toilet (which is very convenient). We even had a guided tour at the castle. We highly recommend!

Wonderful stay in the beautiful King suite that Château de la Bainerie!! The castle life was at the rendezvous …. The size of the bedroom and bathroom , the brightness with three large bays , bedding …. Everything was spotless . As soon as you arrive, you feel at home ... at the castle!! Our host is very discreet and always there when you need to . I recommend it. For a very nice weekend experience ….
