Holiday rentals in Phungus

We spent the most blissful Holi weekend with Ganesh and his parents. The sprawling 4BHK surrounded by greenery had my heart right from the word 'go'. Ganesh was extremely helpful in arranging for pickup, asking if I wanted dinner the night I was reaching or checking if I was comfortable. Ganesh's mom was the sweetest. Tai would flash us the warmest, brightest smile every morning before asking if we wanted tea. She also gave us homemade puranpoli on the occasion of Holi. The location is peaceful with Bhandarpule beach within walking distance. We also took an auto to visit the nearby temples, the Pracheen Konkan museum and Jaigad Fort. Anil kaka and his wife made the yummiest Konkani food for us at an extremely reasonable cost. Anil was also sweet enough to buy us Kokum or Mosambi juice whenever we went out with him. Ganesh gave us a beautiful gift hamper with cute little tasters of all things Konkan - juices, sweets, pickles, papads and what not. I can't wait to be back with my mother!

Kairi Vishranti is definitely for the nature lover, Mr. Abhay provided everything from Mosquito net, repellent to Hot water kettle, tea, coffee, milk powder and shower amenities. He also helped us in preparing our tour itinerary, and guided us where to visit and eat. The complimentary morning tea was great, and home cooked meals were tasty. Don't plan to visit Ganpatipule on Monday as everything is closed, also there is no electricity on Monday we took shower with cold water. It was pleasant stay and even our 2 doggies 🐕 enjoyed.

And finally, after a long road trip I arrived. And I entered the palm Garden where my Cottage was. And I put off my shoes and went to the beach. And I was alone at this endless beach. And I run into the ocean. And I reloaded myself with the healthy water, the sun and the calm. And I will come back for sure. And oh yes, the dinner was delicious.

We stayed at Ketki's farm stay on our way to Raigad. Its beautiful place to stay, surrounded by nice farm. The morning we spend on their farm is one of best experience during this trip. Sunrise was mesmerising. Farm have all types of trees like cashew, apple, mango. Their home garden also have all types of spices and herb plants. Ketki and her husband was really helpful. We were very late for check-in but still they both were responsive and supportive from getting to the location to getting settled. They arranged authentic home made food (Food was really good) and extra bed for fifth member. We felt like staying home at their farm stay.

No fancy hotel but this is a great rustic home stay!! This place has a lot of old world charm to it and we felt we were back at our nana-nani's place! The host's parents were absolute sweethearts and took care of all our needs. They even took us for a morning walk to nearby river! PS - 1) The place is a bit of a remote area with wrong direction on Google map. The host gave us clear instructions to reach the place. 2) Due to this been in a dense nature area, there will be a lot of insects around the place. Don't let this stop from enjoying yourself in this gem of a place.

It was my first solo trip and i must say, it was one of the most memorable trip for me.. All thanks to kaka and his family...Sitaram kaka was so generous and caring that he has arranged local auto (Milind dada - Auto - highly recommended if you are coming without private vehicle) for my outings and to help me in exploring the city..he even given me his scooter to ride to go for lunch.. And the bestest part of homestay is the view of lush greens you can see right from your window...ohhh my god..its mesmerising...i think even we might not get such natural scenic view any 5 star hotel.. So overall i would rate its as Homestay - 10/10 Location - 10/10 Cleanliness - 10/10 Host - 1000000/10 Highly highly recommended place in Ratnagiri.. Thank you
