Holiday rentals in Pilot Rock

If your coming to Milton Freewater or the surrounding areas this is the most homey and charming house to rent and you wont be disappointed. Mariel has really gone above and beyond as a host to make sure we were all taken care of while being rehomed for the Holidays. This place felt like home and it was also so unique in its own ways. The decor is so beautiful, the beds feel heavenly, a nice deep bathtub for a relaxing bath, a bar to entertain, and the wood stove was also such a perfect touch for a cold night. Mariel really has all of the bases covered in this place for a comfortable stay, the only recommendation would be a stove however they do have a large convection oven and other cooking options that we were able to make it work out. There also is an abundance of wild life that comes around from large bunny rabbits that graze in the yard, wild turkeys strolling by, a rooster in the distance and lots of birds, squirrels, and geese that were a joy to sit and watch from the patio.

Ruth's home was even more gorgeous in person! The extremely well appointed kitchen had everything you would need-- and then some! The beds were so comfy-- you are guaranteed to sleep like a rock! We were a party of four, including two 80+ year olds and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the space!

Excellent visit! Our family of 10 had plenty of room to hang out in the lodge. Beautiful place and surroundings and very convenient location. We’ll be back!

Above and beyond. Accidently left my laptop behind after checkout. My error became Jeff’s emergency. He must have made a handful of stops and calls to get me back my laptop through mail. Also. An excellent spot for work and leisure. Nice little backyard to chill and stylish inside space with central location to everything. Highly recommended.

A lovely host, Emily was kind and proactive. This home is an absolute gem. During our stay we were luckily enough to be able to enjoy everything from unforgettably dazzling, sunny and glowing sunrises and sunsets, to cozy days snuggled up by the fireplace- watching as the mountains and valley were gently blanketed in snow. On more than one occasion, we even caught a glimpse of a charming fox tucking into the hedges- an endearing surprise! An incredibly lovely space with such dreamy views- my family seriously considered inquiring about a long-term rental! If you have the opportunity to stay here, don’t hesitate! Easily for one of the best trips we’ve ever had :)

Amazing cabin in the woods! Peaceful, beautiful views, wildlife and an immaculate, beautiful cabin with all the amenities. A storm blew in while we were there...got a little snow and lost power for a little bit, so keep your phone charged if you're that type, but we stayed warm and comfortable during the outage. Robin and Jeff were responsive and made us feel completely safe. Highly recommend Barney's Place when you need to reconnect with nature.
