Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Placer County

It was our second time staying here and we would stay here again. A great house in a great location with a great host.

We booked with Julia & Craig very last-minute and later in the day when weather conditions prevented us from reaching our initial rental in Truckee. They were highly-accommodating, very responsive, and in less than an hour of booking we were getting settled in at their rental. The house itself was beautiful and well-maintained, and much nicer than what we were expecting to get for a day-of booking. Check-in was seamless and their instructions were clear and comprehensive. We will definitely be booking with Jule Vacation Rentals again if we're ever in the area. Thanks Julia & Craig!

Nicole and Cam were great hosts! Super responsive, informative, and friendly to talk to. Their place was very cozy, clean, and perfect for a couples get away in beautiful Lake Tahoe. The balcony was my favorite and had a peaceful view. The fenced area in the backyard was also perfect to take our dog out to run around. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Stayed for a weekend getaway in the mountains. This property did not disappoint, the backyard area is lovely and we spent plenty of time on the back deck enjoying the birds and quiet of the forest.

The eclipse house worked perfectly for our family of 6 (adults) and our dogs. The house felt roomy yet cozy. Loved the mid century feel to the living room with gas fireplace and record player. The sun coming through all the windows in the morning was delightful. If you are someone who likes to pull shades at night , there aren’t any in the living room & kitchen area but that didn’t bother us. The passcode entry door worked perfectly everytime and I can’t say that that about most Airbnbs. We celebrated Christmas here and made Christmas cookies. There was no handmixer but Target was only 15 minutes away. It was crazy to feel like you were deep in the woods but everything was so close. We had dinner at amazing restaurants and experienced both Grass Valley and Nevada City including the Cornish Christmas and Victorian Christmas celebrations. We felt like we were in a hallmark movie!

Great stay. Everything was cozy, located only about 20 minutes from Alpine Meadows / Palisades. Kitty was communicative throughout and there were no issues.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming old home in Grass Valley. The location was fantastic, with beautiful views of the surroundings and an easy walk to downtown. The house had a cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Grass Valley who wants to be close to all the local attractions.

We really enjoyed our stay in Tahoe City. Our accommodations felt like a home away from home, so we were able to enjoy some family time away. It felt safe and secure. The kids found the games late during our stay, and want to come back to enjoy them and the home.

Our family of four recently enjoyed a fantastic ski vacation in this excellent Northstar condo. Its ski-in/ski-out access was incredibly convenient, allowing us to make the most of our time on the slopes. Despite being located right in the heart of the village, the condo felt surprisingly quiet and private, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of skiing. The condo was exceptionally well-appointed, with all the amenities we could have wanted. We especially appreciated the heated garage, which kept our car warm and ready to go after a day on the mountain. The host was incredibly communicative and made the check-in process effortless. We highly recommend this condo to families seeking a comfortable and convenient base for their Northstar adventures.

Elizabeth was a great host. Super responsive, flexible, and went beyond expectations to help accommodate us earlier than expected due to a winter storm potentially upending out travel plans. The condo was great for our family of 4. It was clean, well stocked, and perfectly situation in the Northstar Village which gave us easy access (1min walk) to restaurants, Copper Lane market, and lift access to the park. It's also only a 5min walk to the gondola that takes you up to the Ritz Carlton if you want to grab lunch/dinner there. Also, around the corner is an ice skating rink, and live music on the weekends. Overall we had a great time, this is a perfect location for anyone wanting to ski/snowboard with a small family. The kids group lesson area is also just a minute walk, where you can get them registered and dropped off for ski school (super easy/convenient). Parking garage is pretty big with plenty of open space, and fits bigger/taller vehicles easily. Cool spot, totally recommend!

Great place right in Northstar village. Key for walking with small kids to lifts. It was perfect for me and the two kids. It is a partially open loft to the two sleeping quarters above. If u are planning on having adult time downstairs after kids go to bed you will need a noisemaker for the kids. Wasn’t an issue for me but I can imagine that scenario. Nice clean and well stocked kitchen. Would definitely stay here again thank you Elizabeth for sharing your home! Debbie

Peggy's place was a charming getaway. The garden area was beautiful and it was extremely relaxing under the stars in the hot tub at night. The town itself is beautiful and looks like a fairytale suspended in time. Peggy was a great host and we had a wonderful stay. Would definitely stay again!

Amy and Geoffrey’s place was the perfect winter weekend getaway for my partner and me! It was lovely waking up to the sunshine pouring into the apartment in the morning and cozying up to the fireplace at night. The jacuzzi was perfect for relaxing after a long day of snowboarding. Amy and Geoff were also very communicative and friendly hosts. We would absolutely stay again!

Absolutely loved it. Location along the lake was special. Walkable/ very runnable area. Very clean and cozy little spot and felt very private.

Stayed here with a group of friends - lots of beds so we each got our own, which is rare. The house was well stocked - kitchen, towels, etc. We enjoyed using the indoor/grotto hot tub. Cute shops & restaurants in the area (15-20ish mins). Thanks for a great stay!

Bonnie's place was easily the best Airbnb I've ever stayed at - the hacienda was really cozy for our group of 10 and each room was decorated with such thoughtful pieces. We enjoyed the trail on the property itself as well as the proximity to Coloma and Placerville. And of course, Bonnie was an excellent host! She greeted us in person and was always a message away. I highly recommend this airbnb for anyone with a large group

Amazing place all the way around

Our stay at Hollie's was awesome! The property is beautiful and so peaceful. We had fun fishing in the pond with our grandkids. The house is very nice. The view from the master bedroom is amazing actually the view from all the windows is beautiful. The bed was super comfortable. We loved gathering on the deck in the evening and the hot tub was very relaxing. Rob and Hollie are great hosts, they went out of there way to be very accommodating. The only downside was we couldn't stay longer. I would highly recommend Hollie's place.

If you’re looking for an incredible “experience stay” this is the place! Built to entertain family and friends, all who walked through the door felt immediately at home and in awe of this property. We didn’t want to leave!!! Some family genuinely wished it was for sale! While the photos are stunning it still doesn’t do the incredible scale and comfort of this property and home justice. No detail was missed! I hope we get the opportunity to stay here again in the summer but it did make an ideal luxury rental for Thanksgiving. Thank you Kolesar family!

My family really enjoyed staying at Sam’s place - the pool was perfect, the house was super clean and comfortable, Sam was responsive with answers to our questions, the beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms were spotless. The open space right next to the house was a highlight for taking morning walks.

Very charming cabin, spacious very clean. We loved the feeling of being in the woods but only a couple minutes from the lake and all the towns attractions. Would definitely recommend & would definitely stay again.

Our organization recently held our semi-annual retreat at Clayton’s Place in Glass Valley, and we couldn’t be more thankful for the serene environment and incredible accommodations. Every single one of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. While it’s worth noting that there are only two showers available, the overall experience far outweighed this minor detail. The property is a gem, featuring amazing amenities such as a hot tub, pool, barbeque, and a variety of games thoughtfully provided by Clayton. The karaoke machine was a hit, and the private property’s peacefulness made it easy for us to connect as a group. The easy access to hiking trails and nature further enriched our experience. Clayton’s Place was perfect for our needs and offered the ideal balance of comfort, fun, and tranquility. We wholeheartedly agree that this is one of the best options for group getaways, and we look forward to staying here again!
