Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Platanias

Irene is an exceptional host, particularly welcoming and dedicated. Every night, when we returned, the Cretan specialties she had cooked awaited us. We stayed a week and Irene wanted to change towels and sheets after three days. The little house, quiet in fields of olive trees, is very nice with a small exterior. A cat couple and their kittens will be happy to host you too! We strongly recommend this place and its owner!

A truly incredible and special place to stay. The home is beautiful, spacious, and filled with art. The outdoor patio is filled with lush plants and offers a lovely space to sit. The location is perfect, very close to the port yet tucked away from the hustle and bustle. We can not speak highly enough of Valia. She made us feel instantly welcome; was very responsive and provided us with helpful information; and ensured the space has everything you may need. It was truly a privilege to have had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful house during our time in Chania. Thank you Valia for everything!

Konstantinos and his brother were the best hosts! The houses are located in a small village with good access to the road to Ellafonisi. The super nice garden with the Pool is perfect for a day off. Thanks for the pleasant stay!

Giannis place is just perfect for a family wishing to stay right in the centre of old town Chania. The location just can’t be beat and the house is just fantastic and very well accommodated with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for a family with kids. I highly recommend Yiannis place.

Fantastic, quiet spot that is quite spacious, warm, and bright. The kitchen and washing machine are a great bonus. The storm shutters make it so the bedroom is pitch-black in the middle of the day. Though it is slightly removed from the main strip, it is maybe a five minute walk away from the fountain. Perfect spot!

we really enjoyed thus house. It's exactly as described. Wonderful old town living with modern design. At first it seems like parking can be a pain. But once you realize that walking a bit is the norm for old town Chania, life can't get much better.

Had a great stay in Almyrida. The village was perfect for a stay with young children - shallow sandy beach, shop, restaurants (one of them even had a kids play area). The beach is mostly occupied by sunbeds from beach-front restaurants so you either have to pay €10 or carry your own (but it's probably 5-10 mins walk so a bit cumbersome). It is about 40 mins driving from Chania airport. We took a taxi on our way there which was €60, but it's probably better to hire a car straight away (which we did for the way back). Radu was going to help us with rental, but unfortunately let us know last minute he didn't have the children's seats that we needed. In the end we got a car rental locally for a better price. The house was good, had everything we needed. Nicely decorated. Three AC units were fantastic, definitely needed beginning of July. I would say more attention could be paid to cleanliness as there were dusty areas in the house and wrappers/rubbish under beds. Very quiet area.

Alexandros and Stavroula are incredibly kind and generous humans. The home they built feels so good to be in with the huge open space, tasteful design, and lighthearted decor. We’ve seen and stayed in a lot of places on Crete and this is by far one of the finer homes on the island. The kitchen is lovely to cook in, beds are very comfortable. The orchard is lovingly cared for and is especially beautiful in the winter / early spring with a blanket of green ground cover, flowers and herbs. The sheep grazing w/ bells nearby are a joy to see and hear. I think it’s the perfect place to enjoy privacy and feel of being away from it all while still being able to access Chania city center within 30 minutes. Stavros is mostly shut down in February so I can’t say much about it other than the beach a 5 min drive away called ‘Zorbas’ is one of our favorite places to swim in clear calm waters. The area of Kounoupidiana is less than 15 min away and has great restaurants. A perfect week! We’ll return!

We had an amazing time at this air bnb. It was our first time in Crete and we had the feeling the location was good for exploring the island. The airbnb was exactly how it is on the photos. It had everything we needed. The bed was ultra comfy. Best night sleep in a long time. Apostolis was a great host! He was very quick in answering questions and giving good Tipps for hikes and restaurants. We definitely recommend this place and would book again.

Very nice house with its private pool, garden and the view to Kournas lake. The house was spotless, everything super clean and with all we need to feel at home (kitchen, games, pool inflatables…). There is a garage for the car. Our host Eleftheria is super nice, very responsive, with good advices and very kind.

fantastic house in a great little village. The view from property is amazing, especially from the upstairs bedrooms. The house had basically everything we needed and a few taverns within walking distance offering great food as well. we had an amazing week exploring the area and enjoying the sunshine.

Spacious and pleasant accommodation, the pool on the rooftop offers an incredible view of the sea and the mountains that surround the accommodation. Be careful though, nothing is close on foot, you must take the car to go for a restaurant, supermarket or go to the beach. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is your place to stay.

Nikos and Joanna were above and beyond as hosts. They were very responsive with our questions, helped arrange travel for us from the airport, and provided us with some pastries, treats, and water. Their place was absolutely beautiful. Our group of 7 had a wonderful time!

It was a special vacation. Pavlos is a great person very helpful in many ways. The apartment exceeded our expectations. Immaculate cleanliness of the house , pool and garden. The area of the apartment is impressive and the furnishings of the apartment. You can say a lot in superlatives. Our daughters were delighted and so were we. We'll definitely be back. The perfect place to explore the western part of the island. Peace and quiet. Private parking is a big advantage. We're so happy. We love this place. Great place in nature. There is everything you need for a very pleasant stay. The location is great and in absolute calm. I highly recommend it!!!

Unforgettable stay at Giannis villa at Kampoi. Spacious villa equipped with all necessities to have a hassle free holiday. A well decorated villa and super clean kichen and bed room. The villa is located in mountains with fantastic views to the White Mountains. Quiet area and we loved to walk and explore the surrounding and even offered a cup of coffee by kind neighbors. There is a top rated family restaurant nearby just eight minutes downhill. There is also a winary in just five minutes of drive downhill where you can taste different wines and treats while looking at breathtaking mountain views. I will definitely recommend this beautiful place to my friends and colleagues. Thank you very much Giannis.

We stayed here for 28 days in Sep/Oct. Throughout our stay Lefteris made us feel at home with regular recommendations for eating out and places to visit. We had a wonderful time! The location, though in a built up area is only 5 minutes walk from a great restaurant and about 5 minutes drive to 4 wonderful beaches. We hired a car which, though not essential, is recommended, and visited many places from Heraklion (and Knossos) in the East to Sougia in the South and Falassarna to the West. This was our first visit to the island, though not to Greece which we have visited many other islands, we left with nothing but positive memories and can highly recommend staying at The Grove.

Excellent. The Monastery is the perfect example of contemporary architecture and interior design. The proportions and visibility lines appear to be expertly planned and cleverly designed to guarantee peace, privacy and comfort from the heat of the day. Even more important though, is how friendly the staff were. We were made to feel welcome from the very moment we parked the car, and the staff could not have been more helpful. In particular, Meggie and Georgia went out of their way to help us. All of the staff were great though. The food was excellent, and the views spectacular. This part of Crete is incredibly beautiful and given the friendliness and style of The Monastery, we will certainly return.

Clean space and very well located, just 5 minutes from the beach. Perfect location to go to the most beautiful beaches of Chania. George is helpful, hospitable and willing to help with anything you need.

Such a fantastic week at Villa Michail, Kalliopi was so welcoming and warm, giving us a full tour of the facilities, and Dimitra was extremely prompt in communication to answer any questions we had. The villa itself is high in the mountains, with exceptional views from multiple angles of the surrounding mountains and greenery. Kalliopi and Michail have renovated the property to a very high standard, retaining numerous features and belongings of when it has been passed through generations of their family. It made our honeymoon really special and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone else. Thank you again!
