House holiday rentals in Playa Pavones

Fantastic place with a magic view and amazing pool. Everything was perfect there, we loved it with our 3 little boys. The access is super challenging so anticipate it with a good car but the reward is spectacular…

This is our third stay at Casa Luna Del Mar and it has become our favorite! Sarah's place has the perfect mix of offerings and amenities. Great layout for the house, fully functional kitchen, A/C in bedrooms, super freshwater pool, outstanding beachfront on an amazing beach, and fantastic grounds. We saw lots of macaws, and several sloths this year as well monkeys and lot of other wildlife. The best restaurants in the area are all within walking distance as is a boat dock for day excursions and fishing trips. Zancudo is very secluded and off the beaten path, and Sarah's place has all the right amenities to keep you comfortable after a day of exploring or just beaching it.

We enjoyed Rodolfo and Inka very much. In the heat, the communal pool was an absolute highlight. Rudolfo always answered all our questions and was a very courteous host. If you are looking for absolute peace, however, you may be bothered by the quite noisy neighborhood. But it was absolutely okay for us and we would come back any time.

Our stay at Rey and Stephanie’s (hosted by Naomi) was fantastic. We so enjoyed all the incredible wildlife visiting the property each morning- Iguanas, Tucans, squirrel monkeys etc. The house is very comfortable for a group of 6 with all the amenities in the kitchen and house that you could need. The pool is perfect and the outdoor shower is a beautiful touch. Naomi took us on an awesome tubing tour down rio claro and also provides many options for activities in Pavones, which is handy. Rey was an incredibly helpful host and really took care of us and made us feel at home on his property. Thanks for everything and we hope to be back soon!

The hosts paid great attention to detail. The unit was clean, well decorated for the open air atmosphere of the Costa Rican vibe. The kitchen was well equipped and citronella coils were provided. Casa Kaimana is quite remote so it was peaceful & quiet with a beautiful pool heated by the daily sun. Just what we needed. Toucans and Macaws flew by, monkeys were jumping in the trees & the howlers put on a daily show. Theres bananas and coconuts nearby. Mark & Shayna were great hosts showing us all the local eating spots on the beach and side of the roads and answered all our questions. A great world class surfing location. We would definitely recommend Casa Kaimana as a great place to stay.

We absolutely loved Carlos's place. Carlos and his parents are lovely! There are many nice vacation rentals around PJ, but only a handful that feel like home right when you walk in. We couldn't get over how comfortable we felt there right off the bat. We missed the perfect outdoor living space at this house after moving to a different vacation rental, the benches, hammock, and hanging bench made the perfect space for reading and lounging. The neighborhood is so private and quiet, we totally loved coming back from our excursions to such peace. The garden is immaculate! We saw squirrel monkeys and iguanas twice and many hummingbirds and butterflies every day. This would be a perfect place for kids too, the pool and the trampoline are very fun!! They even have a great playground. Both bedrooms are private from each other on opposite ends of the house- which is luxurious compared to many similar rentals in CR. All in all we loved it and would return! Book it now!

We (me, my husband and two sones - 7 and 9 years old) stayed at Sandy’s beautiful house for 7 nights and loved it. The house is rustic and open air and you really feel the jungle all around you - from the crashing of the waves on the beach that is steps away, to the morning choir of parrots and monkeys in the garden. Cooking in the kitchen with nature all around was really special and just want we needed to disconnect from our otherwise busy lives. The housekeeper came every most days, and the house caretaker was amazing - checking in with us each day to make sure that everything was ok, and helping us organize great day trips from Corcovado National Park, to zip lining and waterfall hikes. There are a few places near by to get lunch/ dinner (Encanta La Vida, Martines, Lapa Rios) if you don’t want to cook all the time, and they also organized for someone to come and cook for us at home one night. The beach is really beautiful - nothing beats having it on your doorstep.

My wife and I felt pampered in Roman’s house. He’s obviously invested a lot in it, and it is very comfortable. The only downside we found staying there was the infrastructure in the area specifically grocery stores. They are very modest and only a couple. As someone who likes to cook, I’d recommend stoping at a larger Centre and do some shopping before arriving that being said, the high ceilings. The big TV. The wonderful pool was all very comforting. This is a developing area. The walk to the beach was a little challenging for us. We are in our mid 70s, but it wasn’t very far. Heading into the area our GPS.(Waze) took us on a longer rougher road than was necessary. Pablo, who cleaned the pool most every day was a great resource despite the lack of language he was very helpful and a nice person.

Elise’s home was lovely and new! You can tell she cares a lot about her home and her guests in both her kind responses and by the little things - filtered water, plenty of hooks to hang items, fully stocked kitchen , even spices! She and her property manager Meredith were so helpful and generous, they responded timely whenever we had any questions. It’s close to the beach and I will definitely try to stay here every time we visit Pavones!

This was an amazing stay!! The house had the most amazing views, tons of space, great kitchen. We felt right at home. The area is gorgeous. It really feels like one of the last undeveloped places on earth. Dirt roads and lots of nature right at the front door! We had a pair of toucans and a pair of Scarlet Mccaws keeping us company. The moneys stopped by to pick bananas, and we had an iguana keeping un company at the pool. It is a really special place! The bedrooms were super comfortable and very well cooled so we slept great. All the recommendations for excursions (deep sea fishing, nature hikes, horseback riding etc.) were all amazing! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

The house is as shown in the photographs, well equipped, with good Wi-Fi, safe and with spacious spaces both in the gardens and for parking. The ranches are ideal for outdoor dining, and the pool, clean and accessible. The host and don Marvin's attention was excellent, always attentive and friendly, which made the stay even better. A highly recommended place to go to relax and enjoy yourself.

It was just super great to stay in the house, where we were welcomed by Rosita, who also helped us with the laundry and just gave a good authentic atmosphere for everything. We loved our time here and plan to come again. The picture of the front of the house doesn't do it justice. The place is spacious and well laid out. There is a nice big covered area in the front and the back; very nice for taking a break from the rain or sun. Best of all are the thoughtful amenities, too many too list. Thanks for the great stay!

It is a comfortable house for three or four people. Impeccable cleanliness and very tidy. Both air-conditioned rooms, which in this area is very necessary. In my opinion the price is very commensurate with what it offers. The neighborhood is very quiet and quiet and there is a supply about three hundred meters away. I would repeat.

Seven friends and I organized a painting retreat here for 9 days and it was exceptional. Everyone was extremely kind, helpful, and responsive, and the surroundings were absolutely magical. Chon, the chef, was accommodating to our various dietary restrictions, and Pascal was great in helping us organize local activities and taxis, even fairly last minute. Jackie cleaned the house every day so we didn't have to worry about any chores. We never got tired of seeing (and hearing!) monkeys and macaws outside every day. The beach is a 3 minute walk, almost totally private, and absolutely stunning. A couple things to note: the whole house is open-air so expect it to get hot and humid:) the wildlife is everywhere and can be a bit noisy at night (completely safe, though). And bring a lot of cash to pay for meals and activities. All of us would love to go back, and thank Marco, Chon, Pascal, and Jackie for being so warm and accommodating!

Casa verde is an incredible place to spend a beautiful time, Karla was always very attentive and kind to collaborate with everything. The beds are really comfortable, the house is impeccable, very clean. Stay in front of the best sunsets! A lot of privacy ideal for sharing in a bubble. Lots of cool breeze, large dining room, hammock, and rocking chairs. Supermarkets nearby.

Bambu house was a perfect stay for a night. We felt comfortable and safe in the home and the hammock was a plus. They even had bikes for us to use! Thanks Bambu house!

The perfect place to stay in Puerto Jimenez. Walkable to restaurants, supermarket, and the beach. Inside was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen and AC in both bedrooms. Host was responsive and friendly. Hope we can come back and stay here again!

We had a great stay here. The hosts were very helpful in suggesting tours and rentals and communicating with us. I loved the little neighborhood and the cats that we met there. The location was perfect

If you want to be immersed in nature, in a beautiful setting, enjoying the sound of the ocean and watching the monkeys then this is the place for you. The architecture of the home is stunning. The home is all open, no screens or doors. The netting over the beds were greatly appreciated. The grounds are beautiful and well taken care of. Joel, the property manager was excellent. Communication with Joel was very good, he was friendly and was able to make recommendations for us. Joel took us to the waterfall that was a 20 minute walk from the property. We were there during the rainy season, which we were prepared for; we brought games, books and flashlights. We will definitely return!
