Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Playa Punta Uva

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the Ibiscus house on the property. Giorgio was very helpful in making recommendations for dinner and nearby sightseeing in the Puerto Viejo area. Two minute walk to the beach!

The home is an adventure!! If you love the outdoors, it is a perfect place for you. It was different and kinda refreshing to have the living room, dining room and kitchen all outdoors. I've never stayed in a property like this. Very unique! Even during rainstorms, it was cool! We all got great naps there! Ana the onsite housekeeper is worth her weight in GOLD. She was very helpful, attentive and courteous!

it is a very quiet place to be, the only thing is that you have to leave the room to go to the bathroom, but for the privacy you have and the location is forgiven this situation, excellent place and host!!!

Casa marina was a lovely home for us. Fernando and crew took good care of us, and was extremely welcoming. The view of the forest is wonderful, and makes it a bonus to be on the side of the road. We heard howler monkeys and saw gorgeous butterflies. Sitting in that hammock and talking it all in: fantastic. We were here over new years, when the beach car traffic was extreme — standing cars for hours — so it particularly great to be 12 min walk to the closest beach (Arrecife). Our favourite beach was Playa Grande, about 15 min walk (or 4min drive). If you’re looking for calmer waters to swim or snorkel, go to Playa Uva, which is about the same distance towards town. Overall great stay!

We loved our stay at Jayr's place, it was exactly what we were looking for during our weekend getaway! I appreciated the clear instructions and the private pool... the privacy and lots of trees and bushes made it even more private and comfortable. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Puerto Viejo!

Great place for families, private property within a larger residential zone, secure, clean, comfortable place, nice space distribution, well equipped kitchen, nice bedrooms, nice terrace. I would only add a family jacuzzi or small pool outside the house but that's only a suggestion, the place is great as it is, wide spaces and great location, owners were responsive, flexible and kind

2nd time here and this is probably my favorite housing in Puerto Viejo. It’s surrounded by nature, very private, peaceful and beautiful. The houses are fully equipped and always clean. This place is great for families or groups of friends.

We enjoyed our stay, the pool was nice and Mary was always available to help with any questions. The area was very quiet, but walking distance from downtown. I would definitely go back

We enjoyed 3 nights at this perfect cozy retreat. Super clean and comfortable. Lush garden space with a refreshing plunge pool. Easy walking to the beach and well- located for shopping and dining. Honestly, I would give the hot/cold outdoor shower five stars alone. One of my favorite outdoor showers ever. We cooked a couple meals and had everything we needed. Perfect for a couple or two close friends. Cheers!

Nice Place , all of the basis were covered its not on the beach but its close the and space and private pool you have make up for not being on the water.…. there were bikes for getting into town. Host recommended restaurants and things to do. There were backpack beach chairs for day time sunbathing which I bought to the beach for daytime excursions. And plenty of linens for the bathrooms. I had no complaints the place was private and secluded. I needed the bikes or local tuk tuk taxis to get to the center of town which wasn’t a problem. I recommend getting a small suv if you want to drive yourself some of the roads are a little bumpy… and a regular car just wont do. Bring a small umbrella for the daytime occasional showers. There was a supermarket which wasn’t too far It was great for food and snacks etc when not dining in town…Papi’s place met all of my needs and I would definitely stay again.

This property was amazing we saw so much wildlife from the porch and pool deck lots of birds, butterflies, lizards, frogs, iguanas and monkeys hanging out right above the pool half the time we were there and one evening we watched a sloth from the pool climbing in a tree above us

A nice little oasis to rest in amongst the bustle of the beach towns around us. We were in the middle unit of the three and it was overall quiet (other then the birds in the morning). Was glad to see filtered water available to refill our bottles when we arrived, and the unit had everything we needed from towels to kitchen accessories. The photos do seem older, since the vegetation around the units is now very lush in comparison, but everything else was as described. The only downside was that the water pressure was inconsistent. Also, we were close enough to walk to the beach and some restaurants, which was nice.

Our stay at Casa Mariposa was wonderful. The atmosphere is relaxing and cozy, perfect for unwinding. From the start, Rikki proved to be an exceptional host: her recommendations were incredibly helpful, and we loved that they were compiled in a handy little booklet. Her positive energy is felt in every corner of the place. Despite the water supply issues affecting the entire town, Rikki was always attentive and ready to help, making us feel well taken care of at all times. Additionally, thoughtful details like hot water and a box with useful items (flashlights, rain ponchos, and an umbrella) made our experience even more comfortable. Having access to bicycles was a great bonus for exploring the area. Casa Mariposa’s location is ideal: far enough from the town center to enjoy peace and quiet, yet close enough to walk everywhere. A gem of an AirBnb. Landscaping is incredible, the outdoor kitchen enables you to spend more time experiencing your surroundings. Pool was clean, water temp was sublime. Loved everything about this property. The road to the property isn’t marked and is unassuming, might be wise to request a photo of the road entry from the host.

Perfect accommodation, spacious very clean. It feels like home, very nice well maintained garden.Brenda is very friendly and pleasant with her guests. I would definitely recommend this place without hesitation.

We had an amazing stay at Maya’s place! She was super attentive, checking in with us days before our arrival and making sure everything went smoothly throughout our stay. The house was spotless and had everything we needed, especially the kitchen, which was fully stocked for cooking. The check-in and check-out process was effortless, thanks to her clear instructions and helpful photos. The location was perfect surrounded by beautiful nature and just a short walk from the beach. Maya also gave us great recommendations for restaurants, tourist spots, and even how to order food, which made everything so much easier. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommend staying here!

We loved our stay at Diane's place. The cabin was so comfortable and peaceful. I loved how close it was to the beach. We also walked into town a few times and that was convenient also. Plenty of room behind the gate to park our car was also nice. The grounds were absolutely lovely with hibiscus and clematis right outside our room. We enjoyed the sounds of the rain on the roof at night and hearing the howler monkeys in the mornings. Got lots of good reading time in the hammock on the front porch. Highly recommend staying in the cabin. Diane and Carlos are both wonderful hosts.

Had a peaceful and beautiful stay at Casita Amarillo. It was quaint and beautiful with just enough space not to feel cramped (I was traveling alone). Everything was clean and inviting and not too far from Playa Negra and Puerto Viejo center. I opted to rent a scooter to get around which is advisable. The road to get there is a bit rough like most roads outside of town center. The casita is also deep in Playa Negra área. You can bike it, which I did one day, wasn’t horrible but the scooter allowed me to go wherever I wanted and escape back to the casita when I was ready. Alejandra was there making sure all questions were answered and helped tremendously when I got there at night and fumbled with the gate lock :). Very responsive and kind. The host answered all my questions I had before arrival and even helped with my transportation from Limón to the casita. I will definitely recommend this casita to others. Simply Pura Vida!
