Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Polk County

The lake house was a great spot for a relaxing getaway. The house was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. The outdoor area was perfect for enjoying the lake. Jesus was helpful and very responsive to my text. Had a great time, would definitely comeback!

We enjoyed our short stay at Laura's place and will stay again if we're ever back in the area! (They offered us the upstairs apartment after we had booked the downstairs cottage, so that's the space this references.) It's super clean and had everything we needed. The bed is really comfortable, the bathroom has double sinks and is plenty big for two people. The living/kitchen/dining area is huge and the whole place has a nice airy feel. Keep in mind that secluded places in the woods like this one are often off the beaten path. It's a rough ride getting there.....take it slow and come in a truck if you can. There's a security light outside the bedroom window, so bring a sleep mask if light keeps you awake.

Just a few steps away from the waterfront, but all the amenities for a family vacation!

Beautiful home and property. The home has all of the convenience and comfort and thoughtful little touches you could want. We loved the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit. The woods were breathtaking. Lots of bird life in the morning. Enjoyed walking down the trail and country road. Next time we will make a day trip to Lake Livingston.

The house was great for us to have our family Thanksgiving. The house was clean and well stocked. Everyone enjoyed fishing and the fire pit.

Great place to stay and would have liked to stay longer, for the cleaning fee u would have cleaned top to bottom but also understand with the remote nature and potential for needing cleaning at a lake house. 😀

The house was extremely clean and comfortable and the host was very accommodating to our need for our checking/check out time. The house had everything a guest could want or need. The sheets on the bed are exceptionally luxurious. We felt special with all of the little extra touches. We truly enjoyed our stay here! "thank you for the snacks" - Jolie(7yrs old)

This was a safe community and was quiet. List of space and the rooms were just as described !

We had an amazing time. The place is very secluded and remote. However, walking through the forest isn’t really an option. My husband tried and scratched up his hands. But you can enjoy walking along the paths, and there’s access to the lake. There’s a grocery store just 10 minutes away by car where you can find all the essentials. But, of course, if you’re looking for restaurants and entertainment, this isn’t the place for you. The house has lots of thoughtful little upgrades, like anti-slip strips in the bathtub for safety. And the kitchen—oh, the kitchen. As an experienced cook, I couldn’t help but appreciate it. There’s a coffee grinder, a coffee maker, of course a kettle, a microwave, an air fryer, a toaster, and even a waffle maker, and somewhere I spotted an Instant Pot. Not to mention all the spices: different types of oil, two kinds of salt, black and red pepper—all of excellent quality. Plus, various herbs. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!
