Holiday rentals in Port Carling

This cottage was a very cozy and peaceful place. Very clean and welcoming. They had activities for the kids and everything was so well taken care of. The lake and dock are great for swimming and kayaking. We had a group of 12 and we had no issues with space it was great. We did a few day trips to arrowhead provincial park and screaming heads by Burk’s falls everything was very close to the cottage. I highly recommend staying here.

We recently held our annual family birthday weekend at Natalia's place with a multi-generational crew that spanned 1.5 years to 90 years young! This incredible log cabin met all of our needs. The bedroom on the main floor meant an accessible space for our great aunt, the games room in the basement was such a fun space for our teens. The sliding doors to the wide front porch and the giant yard with fire pit, play structures and trampoline gave us lots of space to play. Plenty of fridge and freezer space and bathrooms on every level was really helpful. Natalia was very responsive and kind as a host. Balm Beach is gorgeous and walkable. There are some really cute restaurants and coffee shops close by (shout out Cawaja General Store and Balm Beach Bar & Smokehouse!) No place is perfect - I note the stairs to the basement are rather steep, and a few suggestions were shared with our awesome host, including about kitchen amenities, but this is a pretty spectacular place to stay for a group.

Thank you Avisa for hosting us. Our family came over to visit from Ireland and we had an amazing stay at the cottage. It was beautiful, looked exactly like the photos. The family really enjoyed it. It was very spacious and peaceful. Everything we needed was provided and the kitchen is well equipped to cook up a meal. The games room was huge it kept us all entertained and the hot tub was very relaxing. We really had a great stay and we will be back for sure for another stay. Thank you very much!!

Such a gorgeous property and stunning views! The main living area had views from both south and north views of the lake since it is on a point. Stocked with everything we needed. Was a lovely weekend to honour my late uncle with my family. Balsam lake was his favourite spot. We went up the weekend after the huge ice storm so the place was running on a generator, which actually stopped working for a bit but the owners were on top of it as soon as they heard. They were very helpful. Would definitely stay there again in nicer weather! 🙌🙌

Second stay for our family and we were not disappointed. Lovely place for some R&R and easy access to town to explore. Thanks again!

This cottage is absolutely beautiful, it's what cottage dreams are made of, and Davinia & her family put in so much love to make you feel comfortable and special. Our family felt totally entertained, we slept well, we shared laughs and made memories here that will last a lifetime. We don't get to spend long stretches of time together like this, and this space easily accommodated each of us and gave us adequate privacy we each had privacy and felt happy with the sleeping arrangements. It was so lovely to have fires every day, the hot tub was incredible, and the cottage itself has a rustic yet modern vibe to it. The drive down from Toronto was also very easy. You will thoroughly enjoy your stay here, thank you Davinia & family for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home, we loved it!

We met Patricia upon check-in and she had prepared the place for us in the most welcoming way. The house has such a warm cabin feeling, is super spacious and the surroundings are beautiful. The place has everything families need in terms of spaces, linens, activities, etc… We were lucky enough to enjoy the presence of a deer coming in the garden on our first night and so many other animals. Highly recommend for a quiet stay in nature in a big cottage!

The host is very accommodating and understandable. Will definitely rebook again when we come back for summer!

This home is beautiful and well equipped. Giovanni was pleasant and responded quickly to inquiries. My only suggestion would be for visitors to check the beds before choosing rooms, as some bed are firm and others quite soft.
