House holiday rentals in Port Douglas

Had a great 4 nights relaxing after travelling up the east coast and between 5 of us the price was a really good deal

We were four adults that stayed in this beautiful, clean & comfortable home. Everything that we needed for a comfortable stay was available. The kitchen was well stocked, a variety of teas was provided, and ample dining-ware was available. Enough towels were provided in each bathroom, the beds were comfortable & the closets were big enough for our clothes and suitcases. All amenities and photos on the listing are accurate. The house is located in an upscale & quiet location but the grocery stores & restaurants are not within easy walking distance, so a car rental is a must. The only slight negative is that we found a nest of huge ants by the front door and two dead cockroaches & some tiny little bugs crawling around the tile grout in the kitchen, but that’s to be expected in a humid & tropical climate. Just make sure to clean up crumbs & keep food in the refrigerator. Other than that, we highly recommend this property when visiting Palm Cove!

Everything was perfect, the place was big, comfortable and really pretty. Property is surrounded by trees so it was very private and the pool was fabulous. Perfect for a larger group. There were also plenty of beach towels and amenities, and great AC throughout the house!.The house is in a great spot, 5 minute walk to the beach, 5 minute drive to the centre of town and was in a super safe area. I couldn't fault anything. A great stay! I would highly recommend. Thanks for having us.

Loved our stay in Whitfield! Perfectly located in a beautiful neighborhood. A bit cold this time for the pool though that didn't stop the kiddos! Our favorite was the veranda doors opening up and relaxing meals amongst the tropical trees. Would have loved to stay longer :)

What a lovely home to stay in, perfect for big families. From a fully stocked kitchen to dress ups for the kids, it was wonderful!

We loved this house from the moment we walked through the door. Nadia was always on hand to answer any questions we had. My only observation is that the pool Is much smaller than we thought so more a plunge pool but it was still lovely. The house was in a great location and within walking distance on beach and some amazing restaurants. Would dif come backs

What a perfect stay. Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at this house. It was spotless, spacious and functional. Thoroughly enjoyed spending afternoons in the pool and lounging outside. Super close to the Main Street, we were able to walk everywhere. Olivia was extremely helpful and prompt with her responses. 10/10

Had a great stay with the family at Bridget's. Apart from a few minor issues that were rectified through communication with Bridget we all had an enjoyable stay. Family loved having access to the pool at anytime of the day, plenty of space, and a great location to explore Port Douglas (5 min drive into centre) and surrounds. Will definitely consider coming back when next in Port Douglas!

This place is as close to heaven you will ever get. So much room, beautiful and very private garden, short walk to the beach, lovely creek running past the garden. And endless visitors from the Forrest. We saw a lace monitor, all sorts of birds, too many butterflies to count, even the spiders were fascinating (we found a bird eating tarantula by the creek, and were happy to leave him in disturbed!!) One word of advice. There is only one small shop for groceries, and it is only open limited hours. We arrived on Saturday after it closed, and it wasn’t open on Sunday!! Stock up for your first few days at the Woolworths on your way through Mossman so you have plenty to get by just in case. There are a small number of places that sell lunch/dinner, but you can count them all on one hand, and they too run limited hours. But for the small price of a little inconvenient shopping, this place more than makes up for it with the endless majesty of the rainforest!! Oh, we did see a cassowary! :-)

Our family enjoy staying at David's so much we have been back 4 times. The pantry is well stocked. The living areas are large and comfortable. Undercover parking and a covered clothes line make dealing with wet season rain easy. There is also a good size internal laundry with a washing machine and separate dryer. All the bedrooms are a great size and the beds are comfortable. David's home is in a wonderful location. If you feel like a short walk the botanical Gardens and cafes are only minutes away. It's also only short drive to many of Cairns best attractions including the Sky rail and scenic railway, aquarium and lagoon. The location is also ideal, if you want to explore a little north of Cairns and visit Port Douglas, Mossman or the Daintree. You will also be well placed to vist Hartley's, and have an up close breakfast will the koalas. David's place is easily the best value in Edge Hill.

Fantastic stay. Great quiet location, close to everything we wanted to do as tourists and local shops, supermarkets and restaurants nearby. House was very clean and neat, and had all the inclusions to be able to cook and wash for a family of five for the nine days we were there. Pool was fantastic, gave the kids hours of fun - the only problem was they didn’t want to get out of the pool to go out and see the sights! Would definitely stay again if we come up that way again in the future.

I recently stayed at this incredible Airbnb, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience! From the moment we arrived, the place exceeded our expectations. The home was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The attention to detail made it feel like a luxury hotel, yet with the comfort and warmth of a home away from home. The host was outstanding—super responsive, accommodating, and genuinely thoughtful. They provided excellent local tips, from nearby restaurants to hidden gems in the area, making our stay even more enjoyable. The location was perfect, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood but still close to everything we wanted to explore. Whether we were relaxing in the cozy living room, enjoying morning coffee at the pool-view backyard or winding down in the plush beds after a day of adventures, every part of the stay was pure bliss. I highly recommend this airbnb for anyone looking for a perfect blend of comfort.

This house was presented beautifully and was an amazing place to stay only being a short distance from Port Douglas. We made lovely memories out in the entertainment area around the pool & was a lovely place to host our family and get ready for our destination wedding. Erin was reliable, supplied everything to make the house child friendly & she was easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful location and surrounds, and it was exactly as per the photos. So clean, lush furnishings and very comfortable bed. Quiet and tranquil.

We really enjoyed our stay with Rod and Evelyn. The area was beautiful and the garden unit of the house was quite spacious and had more rooms than we needed. Our 5 yr old boys loved jumping on the trampoline and playing in the front and back yards, as well as watching the heritage pass by several times a day. The hosts were highly responsive and accommodating to our needs, as well as being friendly and offering local tips. Would definitely book again/recommend to others.

The property was perfect for myself, my husband and our toddler. It was great having our own pool to swim in. Just a short walk to the shops and such a beautiful view of the tropics. The outdoor bathroom was an added touch of character. The whole property felt like we were in Bali. Highly recommend if you want something a bit different to resort living!

after only staying a couple of nights I have already recommended Jacqueline's beautiful home to all my friends, while it is a little bit of a drive away from the CBD the beautiful location makes up for it with a peaceful ambience and wonderful view. the communication was amazing and check in was so easy and my partner and I are looking forward to coming back to stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay in Edge Hill. The house was beautiful. The pool was refreshing. It’s very close to wonderful restaurants. Our children and parents were extremely comfortable. The hosts were great and responsive, and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend!

The Blue Lagoon was the perfect destination for a wonderful trip away for a special milestone birthday. There were plenty of beds for the two families that came together. All the rooms had air conditioning and fans which made cooling off easy. When we wanted to cool off in the pool it was just the right temperature you wanted. The outdoor space was well used and offered relaxing vibes while the kids enjoyed the pool. Plenty of fridge and freezer space for all the ice creams and food. Lots of amenities that we didn’t think we needed until we did. We all enjoyed our stay here and will be in our hearts and memories for years to come. We will be passing on this place to all our family and friends if they want to visit.

In the 8 years I have been using Airbnb this was by far my best experience ever. The house was even more beautiful than the pictures online. Lisa was an amazing host. Always willing to help and super flexible. We are so grateful for our stay here. The house was so clean and cosy. The kitchen had all the necessary tools. The house was spacious and luminous. The pool is amazing to relax and offers enough space in the shade to read a book. We also loved the fact that the house was so close to the beach. Ideal to run in the morning or do a nice walk along the coast. The perfect house if you want a nice getaway with your family or a group of friends. Would 100% recommend and if we ever come back we will surely stay here. Once again, thank you Lisa from the whole family. ❤️
