We particularly appreciated the small kitchenette, which allowed us to store leftovers from restaurants and easily reheat them. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, adding to the overall experience. However, it’s worth noting that the property is about a 10-minute downhill walk from the main chowk, meaning the return trip involves a good amount of uphill trekking. There is a shortcut, but it comes with a steep flight of stairs. While this makes it a fantastic stay for young and moderately fit travelers, elderly guests might find the climb challenging unless they have a personal car or two-wheeler. Overall, it's a great choice for those who enjoy scenic stays with a touch of adventure!

5/5 Stars! We had the most incredible stay at The Birdhouse Retreat in Dharamkot, McLeodganj! The property is nestled in a serene and peaceful surroundings, making it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. A huge shoutout to Pawan, the caretaker, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. His warm hospitality and attention to detail made us feel right at home. And then there's Bhurji, the adorable dog who stole our hearts! He was always by our side, making sure we were looked after and showering us with love and affection. Ashish, the owner, has done a fantastic job with the property, and it's clear that he's poured his heart and soul into creating a haven for guests. We can't recommend The Birdhouse Retreat enough! If you're looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway, this is the perfect place to unwind. Thank you Ashish, Pawan, and Bhurji for an unforgettable stay! We can't wait to come back!

I stayed at Hotel Sapphire for two nights, and it served as a very convenient base for exploring Amritsar, with the Golden Temple located just across the road. The staff was helpful and attentive. However, drivers seemed to have difficulties locating the hotel, so be prepared to explain the destination clearly.

It's was a great experience at the Attic house. we has a lot of fun. The place is situated at naddi and it was a quite place. The only disadvantage of the quote location was that there were not very great cafes or restaurants. So to have some good food and basically to explore mcleodganj we were required to book a separate taxi. But that was not a big issue as the comfort and the vibe of the place was great. I really had a great experience.

What really stands out is how beautiful the place is. The room and balcony are open to great valley views. And they are very cozy. Also gives a rustic and secluded feeling. Good for people who are seeking a quiet break - silent and peaceful, nice hilly walks. Also, Shivam-ji is an accomplished meditation teacher with many years of experience. So, you can do a long meditation retreat or just experience meditation.

I ended up staying at Rashi's longer than I planned. It is a lovely property and one would feel right at home. surrounded by dense trees and a great view of the Himalayas . walkable distance from Mcleodganj and upper dharamkot markets and cafes. it's accessiblity to different places is a plus while being located in a secluded and peaceful spot. This is a pet friendly stay which adds to the whole experience. Recommended for female solo travellers as well.

Very responsive host. The property has a great location and beautiful views from the dhauladhar facing rooms. The in house restaurant served delicious food, both in breakfast and room service. Rooms are well sized and absolutely clean. The staff there is very polite and greatly helpful for all our needs. Exceeded our expectations for the price we paid really. Highly recommend.

A treasure of a hotel.. walk back in time with Deco elegance, marble and reed glass.. the rooms are huge and it’s quiet at night despite a city location. Sachin, his wife and the staff are so welcoming, enthusiatic and helpful and made us feel at home.. The location is a short tuk tuk ride to station and the golden temple and also lovely tea stalls and local restaurants a stones throw from the hotel.. www would rec this as a place to stay in Amritsar with a personal Touch

Westonel Farm stay is a fantastic place to stay.. especially for animal lovers and people travelling with pets. KarnVir and his wife Minaz are very interesting and beautiful people and they made our stay extra special for us. Most importantly, we were travelling with three dogs and Karn and his entire unit was so supportive and kind to our pets who had a rolicking time running about in the superbly well maintained outdoors and walking in the surrounding fields. We recommend this place to anyone who is looking to enjoy some time in a place of peace and love especially for pet parents.

I had a great experience at Stay Shandaar. If you're in good shape, it's only a 20 minute walk or so to the Golden Temple and Partition Museum. It's also very close to Baba Deep Singh Ji Gurdwara, a beautiful place to spend some time. The nearby vendors in Chatiwind Gate sell delicious street food. If you let the staff of know, they will also prepare a delicious Punjabi style breakfast for you or have your clothing washed at a reasonable price. The room itself was spotless clean and all amenities worked well. The staff were kind and gracious throughout my stay, with impeccable English (much better than my Punjabi). Note: I was a little worried about the potential for street traffic noise, but this was absolutely not an issue. Every once in a while you might hear a faint truck horn, but it's barely noticeable and did not interrupt my sleep.

The hotel is fantastic and it is a real treat to stay here for families and couples. Rooms are big and very very clean and well maintained. The staff are as good or better than a 5 star hotel. The food is delicious and fresh. You would be missing out if you don't stay here. Pawan the manager and his team including Banty, Raju and all the ladies thank you. You are amazing. Well done! Will definitely be back.

The place is amazing. Great people and great service. We also lots of conversations with Sundeep and his brother Joydeep and both were amazing human beings. They suggested lots of great places to dine out. Their staff were amazing, very humble and friendly. Overall good experience. But the place is right at the central market so sometimes it may get noisy but we weren't there when it was noisy so overall great experience.
