Wonderful & magic view on the Nile

MichaelRating, 5 stars75 months ago
My stay here was very short but enjoyable. Muhammed picked me up from the airport for a small fee, which made coming to Cairo for the first time a lot less stressful! He was so kind and hospitable, even offered me to join him on a day trip to Alexandria, which I, unfortunately, did not have time for. His staff was also very helpful and assisted me in ordering food 24/7. The place is in a good location close to the Egyptian Museum. It can be a little hard to find if you don't know what you are looking for, so I suggest being picked up by Muhammed or another staff member if possible. There is a big red sign outside, so if you come back at night you should be able to find it that way. The neighborhood also feels safe to walk around at night. Thank you Muhammed and others!

Room + private bathroom/breakfast

MotherwoodRating, 5 stars73 months ago
I recommend this place very, very highly. It's about as peaceful as it gets in the area, as Giza is a noisy city and here is on the edge of the desert and a nice village. It's a comfortable room with a nice balcony. There are views of the pyramids from the sunny roof. I had my best breakfasts and dinner in my two months in Egypt here. But the most important thing is that Mohammad really, really went out of his way to meet my needs, which are many. He knows a great deal about the sites and I felt really comfortable with him. He lived in Holland for 10 years and is very smart and easy going. But most uniquely, he has local relationships that allow him to take you to places that are not open to the public. Absolutely incredible horse ride in the desert. A real highlight of my trip. Just note that if you, like me, are used to being independent, you need to know that here you will be quite dependent on him for everything. There are not many shops or restaurants around and it's not easy to find the place on your own. But Mohammad is willing and able to get you everything you need. Just needs some mosquito spray for the room but I"m sure he can deal with that. Awesome place!

Marilyn Monroe female Dormitory room in hostel

I booked on Airbnb and didn't know the exact location. I told you that I arrived somewhere else, so you sent me a photo of the building across from the accommodation to find it. Even though I arrived late, they welcomed me well, so I was relieved to travel alone. It was the cleanest and cleanest place in Egypt (people who have been there will know) And for breakfast, it looks like you can choose between a smoothie or an Egyptian set meal. I stayed well before heading out. I'll use it on my next trip.

Bed in 8-Bed Male-Only Shared Room at Layla Hostel

WilliamRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I’ve stayed at over 100 hostels and this is the most beautiful hostel, Airbnb , guesthouse I have ever stayed at. You can see by the pictures how beautiful it is . There are a number of toilets and showers and sinks. It is spotless . On a quiet street which is unusual for Cairo . The pods in the dorm are huge . You can stand up in them. Very comfortable and sturdy . You won’t wake up your bunk mate when tossing and turning. There is a beautiful work space area . Berar is the nicest guy . He really wants to make everyone happy . He is a great guy to talk to . The staff are also very friendly and kind . Walking distance to Egyptian museum and markets . Breakfast is a great deal and delicious . Love this place
