Family-friendly holiday rentals in Queenstown Hill

Jason and Scott are truly Great hosts. Their cottage is amazingly lovely, clean, with a wonderful view and complete amenities. All we need are readily and conveniently available. Instructions are clear, and the place is indeed very guest-friendly. We had a homey and very special experience. The SPA is also a great deal and the view is breathtaking. We will be back, and hopefully longer stay. Thanks to them for sharing their place; we, as a family, just made another priceless memory.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property. The house met our expectations and was in pristine condition. All communication with Kylie and Justin was clear and friendly. Easy to see why this destination rates so highly on Airbnb.

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The views are simply stunning. The home and outdoor terrace are extremely spacious, we were a group of 8 and the house was easily able to accommodate us. We had a couple issues while there with a malfunctioning hot tub and and broken washing machine. The host was very responsive and guided us through a hot tub reset and they arranged washing machine repair within 24 hours which was impressive over the Christmas public holidays. Overall we felt the property was clean and the photos were accurate. We’d happily come back here again. If I had to be picky and offer one criticsm it’s the towels which were small and not that soft. Large luxurious bath sheets would be more appropriate for this high end property!

An amazing view out of every window in the house, it was unreal! Centrally located on an active street, it's easily walkable (up/down steep hill) into Queenstown or to the skyline gondola and everywhere in between! We stayed here 4 nights and it was perfect for us! (3 adults 1 toddler) There was everything needed for our toddler, even a better suited pram for the walk up and down the hills! Washing machine and dryer were well utilised! To top it off there is a hot tub! We never got around to using it as we were always busy but just knowing it was an option was awesome!

This was a beautiful stay with gorgeous sweeping views. The multi level house worked well for our group stay. We could walk into Queenstown easily but had the advantage of being in a nice quiet location just out of the busy area. Lovely views from all bedrooms and the bathrooms were spacious.

Beautiful and private little space. Clean and comfortable. Hot tub was nice after a busy day. Enjoyed the birds and bunnies out in the yard. Highly recommend

We loved our stay at Deborah’s place, it had everything we needed and the most beautiful courtyard with outdoor seating, bbq and hot tub! It was a really peaceful neighbourhood with a lovely view of the mountains and it was only a short bus to and from town. I’d really recommend for a relaxing Queenstown trip!

Photos don’t do the view justice. Jeremy was a great host. This is a cabin type experience. We stayed in the winter and used the cottage as a home base for skiing and other activities which was great. Quick ride over to Arrowtown and Queenstown but far away enough to feel private and peaceful. Some important points regarding previous reviews I read about the place being “cold”…the ground floor is all slate stone…as Jeremy recommended, just bring some sandals or slippers to wear around. There is a large heat pump, a lovely pot belly stove, and space heaters and all the beds have blanket heaters which we actually didn’t use because they were too hot…so it’s easy to stay warm and the view and coziness are well worth it, but if you’re expecting a thermostat in a hotel room that you set and leave…this wouldn’t be the place for you. We loved our stay and the host was very responsive.

One of our favorite places we've ever stayed! This space was designed so thoughtfully, and was well stocked with the essentials. The location was just what we wanted–quiet enough but close enough to Queenstown for easy access to everything we wanted to do. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Peter's place was perfect for our large freiend/family group. loved the fireplace and deck.

Our stay was filled with serenity, privacy peaceful evenings and dark skies. Perfect location to walk to wineries and being on the bike trail. The scenery was breath taking. The cleanliness and beautiful bed linen was not unnoticed. It was so nice to meet the owners who completely respected privacy but also open to providing local recommendations and having a chat. We look forward to staying again in the future.

By far the best place we stayed in our 2 weeks in NZ. The view of the lake was amazing. We had everything we needed and enough space to ourselves after 2 weeks of togetherness. The walk to town was not bad, but we took Ubers back. The driveway was steep, but manageable. Everything in Queenstown is steep. Keren was very responsive. There were plenty of towels, games, kitchen essentials. We didn't cook, but easily could have. We were very happy to stay there.

The view is fantastic, every window is like a picture frame, the equipment is very fully equipped, the room is clean and tidy, the host is very warm and friendly, the best homestay while traveling in New Zealand.

Amazing host and perfect place to rest and relax in the heart of the beautiful Cardrona valley! Will only opt to stay here next time.

I can’t believe how good this place is. We were so excited about the pictures and the reality is somehow even better! This place is the standard for all Airbnbs. I have stayed in 15-20 all over the globe and this is the best I’ve ever been in. It’s luxurious but feels like home. The kitchen is the most well-stocked I have ever seen. The beds, bedding, and furniture is all very nice. Kaye was super responsive and very kind. The views are truly stunning and honestly are an attraction on their own. We chose to eat in the house with the views rather than going to dinner on multiple occasions. And then there’s the town itself, which is incredible! We did rent a car and we’re glad that we did because of the hill. We can’t wait to visit Queenstown again!

Fantastic location, clean and tidy. Lovely and warm on cooler evenings. So handy being 2 minutes walk to the Cadrona pub for dinner.

We booked to stay for 2 nights & decided to stay for an extra night whilst there! Hosts were extremely responsive, the unit was exactly as described. Comfortable bed, excellent shower, conveniently located next door to the Cardrona Hotel & within easy access to Wanaka. It was perfect for what we needed & the pool was an added bonus. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.

We had a wonderful stay at Tracy's home! Upon arrival, we were in awe of the modern property and beautiful surroundings. There was a blend of rain and sun during our stay, so we took advantage of every space. The home's interior is both contemporary and comfortable, with a sitting room and living room on one end and bedrooms and bathrooms on the other. A great layout. The outdoor space is generous, with a large deck, roomy seating area, and excellent pool to take in the mountain views. If you're lucky, you'll get a visit from the adorable neighborhood cat. This home was in a great central location for all of our activities – close to the action, yet far enough away for peace and seclusion. We hope to return someday!
