What a beautiful spot! Great view from deck, kitchen and hot tub of the volcano and loved having a few different spots to relax depending on time of day. Good distance to the volcano for hiking but also the amenities of the house were great, as well as neighbouring highland cows!

Lovely, peaceful stay in a very private location. Outdoor bath works really well (and was very welcome post-Tongariro crossing) and loads of space on the deck for relaxing. Ended up doing most of our cooking outside as not much space on the sides indoors but as the weather was warm this was quite a nice change. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing stay! Well equipped cabin, all you need. Privacy, hidden in nature. All clean, easy to find.

Paul communicated very well and we had no problem finding Zinky base and getting settled in. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils. We enjoyed sitting on the veranda in the evening. (He will have to replace the chairs soon, though as the webbing on the seats is partially ripped) Everything else was in good order and comfortable. We had a lovely stay and would happily come back, it’s just a long way from Scotland :)

We had a great time in Ohakune -- the cabin is a holiday property so is a little rustic, but had all the facilities we needed, including a clothes dryer, and is quite close to town. We enjoyed the views toward the mountain, though couldn't see too much of the mountain itself because of the low cloud. The cabin is an ideal place to stay for a few days in winter or summer, though the two bedrooms are closely connected (the only exit from one bedroom is through the other) and there is only one double / queen bed, so is probably more suitable for a family with young kids.

The Tiny Escape is a beautiful tiny home, with one of the nicest views we have come across in a long while staying at AirBnB’s. Fraser and Michaela left super easy to follow instructions and the place was perfect for our quiet weekend away! The farm right off the deck is great too, being able to watch the deer with a morning coffee. The place felt very private and peaceful, so I would absolutely recommend staying here if you want a relaxing and cozy time away from home! We will definitely be back in the future!

We stayed for a night on our North Island road trip. The beds were so comfortable, the surroundings are beautiful, and we loved the animals. A sweet, easy stayover.

We had to arrive at about 1am in the morning and was clear instructions for how to get in and straight to sleep before an early start.

The coziest wooden mountain get-away! We all wish we could’ve stayed for more than a night. Highly recommend!

Quaint pod. Was prepared with supplies for staying remotely however they proactively offered meal delivery! Lovely cafe for breakfast. Super friendly staff and animals. A lovely spot to stay.

Very neat place, tho at night the room gets a little stuffy, must open the sliding door and let the winds get in before ready to sleep. Overall it’s a very good spot to rest before continuing our journey!
