Family-friendly holiday rentals in Reservoir La Viñuela

Our family of three had a wonderful stay with ample room to spread out. We particularly enjoyed having coffee or drinks on the terrace with views of the small nearby bell tower, parts of the Alhambra and snow covered Sierra Nevada in the background. Jamie, the onsite caretaker, was very helpful with local information and with calling taxis for us to return to the train station.

A beautiful Airbnb with a great view. We loved the view from the balcony and use of the hot tub since it was too cold to use the pool (although we did use for cold plunges). We stayed with a baby so the many stairs weren’t ideal but the living room was large enough our 1 year old could play in there with us watching as it was far enough from the stairs. I wouldn’t recommend for a toddler who is walking and requires baby gates. Loved the town and we were able to drive down to the bottom of the hill then walk along the boardwalk each day. The many restaurants and bars on the beach were great and even in February most things were open. The Airbnb was very clean.

Very clean and comfortable Airbnb in a peaceful neighborhood. Within walking distance to cafes/restaurants and only a 10-15 minute drive to central Granada. Rosario and her husband were very pleasant hosts who were responsive and provided local recommendations that were excellent. Would stay again next time visiting Granada.

The following is my overall opinion of our recent visit. The pros - Augusto was a very responsive and helpful host. The Villa itself is pretty spacious and is exceptionally well equipped. The outdoor space is great for relaxing in. The location is great - walkable to the beach, cafes and restaurants aswell as a good supermarket. There is a very good bus service into central Malaga which took around 15 minutes. There were few cons. We did feel that, whilst clean, a few things looked a little tired and the top floor bedrooms are quite basic. As stated in the description, there is further rental accommodation at the property. This is situated down a flight of stairs off the villas entrance hall (there is a separate outdoor entrance). The noise from people staying here could, at times, be heard throughout the villa . Augusto was helpful in managing this, but I suspect noise just travels in the property due to tiled floors etc. Overall I would recommend the property.

The house was super clean and smelled very nice. The days we were there it was cold and raining very hard. Unfortunately, we were not able to use the swimming pool and garden. We enjoyed the nice pellet stove very much. Lola had turned it on for us upon arrival, so we entered a warm house. The communication was nice and you notice everything that Lola goes out of her way to give her guests a pleasant stay. I myself am 1.95m and quite wide muscular; because of this, me and my girlfriend did not fit well in the bed. If I lay on my back, she couldn't turn around. My feet also stood out by the bed. Despite that, we enjoyed the pleasant stay immensely. Thank you!

Friendly and really beautiful place and the garden was an oasis. I would love to visit again another time

Don't hesitate to book this place. Jorge's house is very comfortable, cozy and decorated with taste. We felt rigt at home. Salobreña is a nice white-washed village close to Granada and other atmospheric villages as Frigiliana. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Everything just great.

The house has a very large and fully enclosed property. The view is fantastic. From the nearby highway you can hear a noise, but it didn't really bother us. Serena and her husband were very friendly and helped us with all questions. On slightly cooler days, the house could easily be pleasantly tempered with the air conditioning. On our arrival, the fridge was so well stocked that we could easily spend our dinners.

Great house – very beautiful and of a very good size, and believe me, we’re pretty spoiled in North America. It's also very close to Caminito del Rey. Salvador provided very clear instructions in advance, which made everything easy. A previous review mentioned that it was cold for them, but we visited at the beginning of March, and while it was chilly outside, we felt very comfortable inside. It was not cold at all. The convenience of having parking available in this location is a huge plus. Highly recommend!

Wonderful to wake up to the fresh mountain air and the sounds of the rooster, the birds and the donkey. The village is really fantastic. Away from the “mass” tourism of Frigiliana, which is a beautiful village to visit but for us not to stay - we walked there for a day - back and forth 14 km mountain up, down mountain. The cottage is decorated as a typical “mountain cabin” and is certainly beautiful with even more beautiful weather to stay with the pool. You might also be able to stay with two families, because there is another cottage adjacent to it. Don't forget to eat in the restaurant in the village. 😻 Delicious!

It has been an incredible experience,my partner and I were a year old,we lived in the heart of Malaga and getting here has been paradise;the views, the intimacy, noises,the very good location, everything super clean the pool water completely transparent, close to the town where we went to shop. Nazaret is very friendly and attentive in everything. I recommend it 100%

We had a great stay. Both contacts were very friendly and helpful. Extremely quick responses in app. The property was very well situated with easy bus links into town and down to the university area where we found restaurants, cafe's and play parks for the little ones. There are a few local restaurants in walking distance. The property it's self was clean and tidy with everything you need. It's a quiet suburb which was nice. Plenty of space to relax during the days and evening without being stuck in one room.

We loved our stay at William’s House. The house is spacious and comfortable and the kitchen and living area is a nice big space and well equipped. We stayed for a month and it was perfect for our needs, close enough to Malaga and the airport and Alhaurin is a good town with many shops and restaurants. You definitely need a car to get around. William was a great host and super responsive about things in the house and local restaurants and attractions. We would definitely stay there again.

We had an amazing time here. Great place to stay with plenty of room and lots of amenities making our stay incredible. Went for a hiking holiday and there are loads of great places to go around here. Would highly recommend staying here. Donald was a 10/10 host and made us feel at home straight away. Great with local recommendations and really friendly. Would love to go back and stay here again in the summer. Thanks Donald!

Great place to stay - even in winter. Some of the bars and tapas places were closed with it being Christmas/ New Year week but there is a lovely kitchen to cook in. Regular bus to Malaga and nearby larger villages for tapas. Great communcation with Simon and Jeanette and help with getting a taxi from the airport.

What a wonderful Villa we’ve stayed in. Everything was great. Steve even got us a square table for us so we can play cards. Well worth the money. Highly recommended.

Incredible outdoor space and views. I would give the outside 6 stars. The kitchen, living room, main bedroom and ensuite are all top drawer. Parking can be tricky in Mijas, beds in the twin room could be a little bigger and we could have done with the villa warming up before we arrived, but these are minor quibbles compared to the positives of sitting on thr terrace and soaking up that sunrise.

Sebastian is a wonderful host. Was really accommodating and allowed us to leave our suitcases at the villa before it was ready for the 3pm check in which was very helpful. The villa is amazing - there is so much space and the outdoor area is fantastic. It’s exactly how it looks in the photos. We asked for the pool to be heated due to the time of year and it was ready for us when we checked in. A brilliant villa with a great host. Thank you!

We visited in a large (11 person) family group to celebrate my dad’s special birthday. The villa was as described; beautiful, spacious, large covered pool (which was ideal as we could use it all day and not worry about children getting sunburn). Stef was a great host - very helpful and super responsive. We had a couple of days of extreme heat, which sent the ants indoors, but Stef came by within a couple of hours of me mentioning it to clear and spray the affected room, with a promise of calling in pest control if the problem persisted (which it didn’t). Highly recommend for a group visit. A short walk to the nearest beach, a couple of nice local restaurants, a stone-throw from the airport (7 min drive) with parking for up to 3 cars. Thank you Stef!
