The house is spacious, does not get too hot, we didn't need to use a lot the air conditionning. The pool is nice but small, one family is enough to fill it. My daughters loved to take a bath in the evening. It is private and cosy. Everything was fine, the location is ok. We had a car so we never tried to go by foot downtown. We had a nice stay. Thank you to the owners.

Our discovery in Akoumia of a great Greco-Cretan family moved us. This is Dimitra and Costas. The reception was beyond our expectations. We found a place with everything you need when we arrived: kitchen, bathroom, sleeping, bath towels... The food taken from the restaurant, managed by Dimitra, comes from the farm-culture-breeding (goats, sheep), managed by Costas. It's organic. Here's what we find: wine, raki, goat milk, meat, vegetables... healthy quality products. Dithyrambic is the word not usurped. Akoumia is a typical Cretan village. 3 churches in a 200-meter course! A car is necessary for visiting, shopping. The beaches, very pretty, are twenty minutes away. We lived in a novel by Kazantsakis the Greek. Great place to enjoy a peaceful time. Mountain views and swimming pool as a bonus. The location is close to the highway and ~1h away from diverse natural sceneries and cities. A car is needed to go about, Internet is not the best but OK when it worked, the sewage can also let some unwanted smells out but not a terrible thing considering that you are in a cottage in the middle of the forest like Hill. Overall the place is recommended!

We felt very comfortable at Emmanouil's place! The week was great, everything was very clean and familiar. Emmanouil's mother lives in the building and was super sweet and friendly and the answers to messages always came immediately. As a little farewell, we got Greek dumplings filled with cheese yesterday - we were really happy! :)

This place is in a great location in Rethymno, not terribly far from parking as old town goes yet also in a nice quiet street by being convenient to a lot to do. Had a very modern feel, plenty of bathrooms and such a cool bohemian feeling back porch. Good value for 2 couples staying in Rethymno.

very happy with my stay in Matala!! I could hear the waves from my apartment, it was right in the center and clean. also extremely nice hosts, they even offered me a ride to the next town! only minus is that there was no water for a day due to construction work, which was not communicated, but other than that great stay, would do again

We had a wonderful stay, there was plenty of space, 2 terraces to sit and a large pool. The hosts have been very attentive, super friendly and always available. The house could be a little quieter for us, but the view of the sea is priceless 😀

Great location and Nectarios was a fabulous host. Attentive and very responsive - thoughtfully providing food and drink supplies so there was no need to shop before arrival and, since our departing flight was very late he let us stay on past check out time, in the cottage.

A very beautiful and comfortable apartment, well designed as a space both internally and externally, with nice decor. Perfect location, with great ease of parking. The hospitality is great, I would love to stay there again, I highly recommend it.

We stayed there for three days and the view was a DREAM! We enjoyed the most beautiful sunset on the balcony every day. From the kitchen you also have a gigantic view over the bay. Everything necessary was available, even fresh fruit we got. :-) Unfortunately, the pool was not usable in November, although it would have been warm enough, but otherwise it is a lovingly furnished accommodation! As described, you have to walk uphill for the last few hundred meters, but we didn't mind:) the view is worth it! 😊

This was our second visit to Zacharias and we were just as satisfied as the first time. He is an attentive host, including a huge fruit basket, spirits and the essentials for a sweet breakfast. The house is well maintained and the air conditioning units in the house proved to be quick and effective heaters on chilly nights. We highly recommend Zacharias Accommodation. See you again...

We had the most amazing experience staying at this Airbnb! The house was absolutely stunning with breathtaking views that made every morning special. It was beautifully maintained and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. What truly set this place apart, though, were the incredible hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure our trip was perfect. From arranging convenient transportation from the airport in Heraklion to renting us their car—which was spotless and ideal for exploring Crete—everything was seamless and stress-free. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Crete. We can’t wait to come back!

Love staying here… it just has what we need. A bed, a toilet and a fridge mainly! And a few steps to the beach. So many local places to eat.
