Absolutely beautiful surroundings, beautiful lodge....comfy beds,lots of towells and lovely bedding.....would highly recommend ,felt right at home as sooon as we arrived and we will definitely be staying again .....hot tub on point ,very clean, lovely and warm all day ...Will is a brilliant host and is clearly dedicated to his business....we have had the best time 😊😊😊

What a wonderful break we have just had at Woodpecker lodge!! I cannot recommend this beautiful place and it’s fantastic host enough! Mark was fantastic, so helpful and accommodating. The lodge is just like the photos, so clean and spacious. You couldn’t want for anything else; spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable. The hot tub was fantastic and me and my family used it every night after days of walking in the local beauty spots. We used the leisure pool everyday, our children loved it! Highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

very quiet area, easy to find. many things to do in the village just 5 minutes away and the pod was very clean and tidy. tom was quick to help with anything we needed. hopefully be back soon

This is my second time saying at one of ash’s properties and I couldn’t reccomend enoegh the place is always spotless and exactly like the photos. When we first arrived the boiler went off due to the cold weather and after texting ash he rang within a couple of minutes and ending up upgrading us free of charge. Will definitely be back.

As soon as you turn into the private driveway and see the main house and grounds, you know you've made a great decision. Entering the cabin definitely has the 'wow' factor, absolutely everything has been extremely well designed and thought through, I could've stood in the shower for hours and the view from the bed via the window is stunning overlooking the hills. The kitchen is compact but don't be deceived, it has literally everything you'll need to cook most things. If you like long walks, there are plenty, literally from the door. (I'd recommend downloading the OS maps app) We did an 8 mile walk the first day and a 7 mile walk the second. Hawes town is only a 10-15 minute drive away and has shops and pubs etc which is really handy for supplies and a drink after the walk.. We stayed for 3 nights and could've easily stayed longer, it had absolutely everything we wanted and thoroughly enjoyed it. Quiet, peaceful, private. We'll definitely be back again. I'd highly recommend

What an incredibly, thoughtful and stunning place. It is an absolute dream place and space for anxious dogs and their even more anxious owners. The thought to that has gone in to creating a safe and wonderful break for our delicate little souls is so heartwarming in such times like these. Everything from the generosity of the hosts , the impeccable living area. , amazing space to park and still so much grass in the secure enclosure for little legs to run free .

Lovely pod, everything you need. Very clean and stylish. Beds are pull out, apart from the ones upstairs. They were very comfortable and we had a great sleep. The shower was amazing… hot & powerful, especially after being out walking all day. Wi-Fi is good, even has sound system & smart TV. Located at the back of the park, quiet and secluded. The park is well maintained & the foods very good in the restaurant. All Staff we came across, were very friendly and helpful. I brought my Nan back for her 80th, as she use to stay at Hollins Farm seasonally many years ago. It was a trip up memory lane. Plenty of places to walk, especially the hill at the back of Hollins farm. The views are still very impressive to this day. Silverdale is just a little Gem, the gift that keeps on giving. Will definitely be returning.

Lovely and peaceful place to stay. The hosts are amazing leaving duck food to feed the ducks on the little pond outside the lodge my children loved doing this everyday. The lodge is warm and cozy with lots of little touches we will definitely book again

This was the best place I’ve stayed in when visiting the Lake District. It was so peaceful and the cabin was immaculate. There’s lovely walks in the area and Windermere is a 15 minute drive away. I wouldn’t change anything about it and will definitely be returning!

Good location, easy access, great value

We were hoping the lodge would have a cosy, Christmas feel and we were not disappointed. There were twinkle lights outside and a tall Christmas tree inside. The lodge itself was really nice, larger than we expected. All the rooms were a good size and it was clean and modern. Having the WIFI was brilliant as my son depends on it! The lodge was only a short walk from the main facilities, which was good as we were unlucky with the weather during our stay. The lodge had everything we needed, and drinks were available in the form of tea, coffee, juice and milk. We would love to return in the summer so we could take advantage of the large, secure decking area. We were all really happy with our stay and quite sad to leave this cosy, lovely lodge.

This place is amazing and all made even better by our amazing host, Jan. She made the week truly amazing and went above and beyond multiple times to ensure we had a great trip. The place is so beautiful and peaceful, just a great place to wind down and forget about the day to day stress of work life. Great amenities and we had everything we needed…and Jan was able to provide anything we didn’t have. Can’t recommend this place highly enough, we will definitely be returning!

Great place! Absolutely stunning scenery, could ask for a better spot for hiking up and through Scafell. Caroline the host was terrific, really easy going and super relaxed in arrangements. Cant complain at atall. The Ev charger was a big plus as we had a electric vehicle. Just watch the route you take as Hardknott pass late in the evening is unpredictable we had heavy weather but managed ok. Someone had totalled their car on route. Love the place. Could of had a little more heat as it was abit chilly and the radiators are abit shy with heat. Mornings were brisk. Also no teabags or milk… so just bring some bru tackle. All in all a beautiful snug perfect for a couples retreat.
