The place was spacious with all amenities you could need. Clean and comfortable too. Beautiful garden with vegetables and herbs available for you to pick. The place was a convenient home base for me to visit the rest of Abruzzo. Nicola and his mother were polite and welcoming hosts.

Fabio was a very helpful and present host, his house is wonderful, cicina in the center but still in the open countryside with an exceptional view. The house is very clean and functional, the bed is very comfortable and we spent two beautiful and relaxing days thanks to the hot tub in the cave, a wonderful cuddle! Highly recommended!

staying in this house was like feeling at home, there was everything you need to enjoy the weekend relaxing, nothing was missing! The house is surrounded by greenery with a few swings for children, and nearby there is a riding school where you can take lessons or take simple horseback rides. Marco is a perfect host, always helpful and responsive, and very friendly in ways. Absolutely recommended!

It’s all been said before. We felt very comfortable and relaxed in this charming and quiet apartment. It felt like our little Italian home away from home with a very personal and warm ambiance and everything that we needed. We enjoyed this part of Abruzzo with its majestic scenery and charming towns. Directions and information were so comprehensive and very useful. Constance is a caring, committed and responsive host who made a real effort to meet our needs which we really appreciated.

WOW - WHAT a gem. Casa Querencia was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip to Italy as a family of 4. Josie's place was not only reflective of the description and images but BETTER! The view of Lago di Bomba (swooon), the church bells, the views of the other towns and snow on the mountains. You could literally cozy up with wine and a book and never leave! Josie had everything we needed to dine in, while also SO MANY great recommendations for exploring - like Santa Maria, Lanciano, and Castello Roccascalegna. The town was super quiet given the winter month - but much as we expected, as we had JUST missed one of their holiday parties in the piazza. Casa Querencia would be PERFECT for someone wanting a relaxing, cozy, at-home feeling longer-term rental. We cannot wait to come back to stay - maybe for a few weeks next time :) Josie spares no details and was a PLEASURE to rent from. Thank you for making our experience such a joy!

We spent three beautiful days during New Year's Eve parties in this cozy little house. The fireplace and Christmas decorations have created a magical and relaxing atmosphere. The house was very clean and had everything you need. Outside there was a very sunny terrace where you could eat or just relax with a breathtaking view of the Majella. The owners were very helpful and kind. We also made friends with two huddly shepherd dogs who came to visit us every night. It was a wonderful vacation. I recommend this beautiful little house to those who love to stay in the middle of nature and in peace.
