Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Roanoke

We have loved staying at Sarah's place each time we've come to visit our son at Liberty University. After our first stay, we never even considered booking anywhere else because it was exactly what we needed for our family and we loved the location. The house is very quiet and nice, plenty of amenities, stocked kitchen and great front porch for coffee or back yard for the evenings. We especially love the 3 deer that often come by to visit in the back yard at night.

Deborah was very responsive from day 1 until after check out, even when I asked for advice on a local place to host a Rehearsal Luncheon. Her house was beautiful and peaceful! There was plenty of room to spread out and relax. The property was GORGEOUS! I wish I could've spent more time there. I hope to go back again sometime!

Beautiful cabin and great host. Great view from cabin and lots of dear in the evening. Very quiet and peaceful. Not a lot to do in the immediate area but everything we needed fairly close. Great central location to get to all kinds of surrounding areas, activities and locations. Would very highly recommend this cabin and host.

Loved staying at the house - we were only there for one night but it was very easy to get in and out, and communication was great!

We had such a great stay at Tomahawk Retreat! It was a little getaway to force our teens to hang out with us before dropping the oldest back off at college. The layout of the home was perfect. The master being on the opposite side of the house made it easy for us to go to bed early, and the teens to stay up doing whatever they do until the wee hours of the morning. The home had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. We were so close to so many things to do. We def recommend snow tubing at Liberty Snowflex.

wonderful place to stay ESPECIALLY with kids. they had toys, pack and play, and highchair. lots of space! loved the area of town. it was a very nice neighborhood with beautiful houses that reminded me of Williamsburg homes.

The apartment is very comfortable and cozy feeling. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The kitchen and bathroom were both well stocked with anything we might need. Very nice outdoor sitting and eating area as well. We had such a relaxing time!

This was a wonderful rental for the beginning of our 7 day trip. The check in directions were extremely clear, the unit was bright and airy feeling, and super clean. There were snacks available for us, coffee and water. The beds were extremely comfortable and I look forward to staying here again.

Was a good place to land for the night, while in Lynchburg. We arrived in the dark and the path to the basement is not lit, but it was fine with our phone flashlights. The place was clean and comfortable.

We loved our stay here. The kitchen was well stocked, including lots of snacks. The spaces were cozy and fully decorated for the holidays. Debbie was very friendly and responsive to any messages. It's a quick drive to Virginia Tech. We'll definitely stay again.

I enjoyed my second stay at Jane’s. Jane is always responsive and provides a clean, safe, place to stay.

We had an excellent experience staying at Glenna’s historic home. It has been lovingly taken care of and furnished, everything was as expected or better. She also provided a pack’n’ play for our little one, which made traveling that much easier. We would definitely stay here again! ❤️

Jamie was very responsive and kind!! Enjoyed my stay here, struggled with bug bites from some of the bedding but the stay was really nice overall and was spacious and clean.

My partner and I truly enjoyed ourselves here. It is a beautiful Airbnb and very cozy. 10/10 would recommend staying here for couples and families.

We had a great weekend. This location was so close to the resort and right next to the market. Which was perfect for grabbing food and pizza anytime. We didn’t need to bring anything except our clothes and food because Dave and Paige provided everything you could need. The bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

We have stayed at this great condo several times and this place is hard to beat. Perfect location to park your car and walk to the Lodge, skiing, the plunge and the Market. Well appointed, super dog-friendly with easy steps leading out to the rear grassy area. Highly recommended!

Allison was very responsive, helpful and friendly. Her place is well kept well decorated and comfortable for our stay. Mariners point and her rental allows access to lots of social and sport activities making the stay that much more enjoyable. Access to 12 pickleball courts large workout facilities and indoor/outdoor pools.

Great condo with fantastic views!

Five times in and Matt/Krista’s place is a little slice of heaven. This gem at Smith Mountain Lake isn’t the biggest out there, but it’s ideal to get away for few days to rest and recuperate. The view is simply to die for and the hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come back a 6th time!

We've stayed in a lot of condos in Wintergreen over the years, and this may be one of my favorites. This was a very comfortable two bedroom / two bathroom. It was a perfect size for our group of 2 adults and 2 teens. The furnishings were very nice. It is easy to get into (first floor). The view is of the woods behind the condo and quiet. Also, we appreciate how responsive the host was! She quickly returned our call in the evening when we had a little trouble getting into the lock code. Her instructions had been perfect; we just made a mistake with the code. We should have brought a little dishwashing detergent. There was one pod there. I'd stay there again.

Myself, my daughter and her friends really enjoyed our stay! It’s a very cozy place and the fireplace made everything that much better. The slope side ski in and out was great for the girls and very convenient. Melissa was very responsive to all my questions and concerns. This was my first time staying at an ABNB and she’s inspired me to turn my Lake house into an ABNB. Thank you Melissa!
