Cabin holiday rentals in Rockwall

David and I were visiting for my daughter’s wedding nearby, we found this gem to stay in and also booked another nearby cabin for my daughter and her husband for their wedding night. We brought our fur baby who absolutely loved the space and outdoors. House is private and lots of space with everything you need for the week or weekend. Kathleen was super nice!

I can’t even begin to explain how much we loved staying here, we didn’t want to leave! It’s a beautiful cabin in the woods surrounded by nothing but nature, they had such cool furniture, (a Jean couch and chair) but I would have to say my favorite part about this house was the peacocks! I had never seen a peacock in person before and the squawk it makes is so cute! And not only 1 peacock, but 3… needless to say this place was absolutely magical, straight out of a fairytale! Unfortunately we didn’t use the hot tub, but we’ll definitely come back and stay for longer! Thank you for welcoming us into y’all’s home, we can’t thank you enough, God bless y’all!

The house was very spacious and perfect for our Easter getaway.. 3 of the 6 bedrooms had bathrooms and was perfect for couples. Also, had 2 kitchen and eating areas as well. The back yard was very spacious and we were able to play kickball.. The back yard also leads to the lake and perfect for early morning coffee walks. The only thing is the day before our check in we were notified of a deposit needed incase we left the house messy or for broken items. However the deposit was refunded within a few days..

We had a nice relaxing time. The bed was comfortable and we slept so good! Everything was clean & as described in the listing.

Our family spent a long weekend at Alex’s place for the 2024 eclipse. The house was very comfortable and worked well for us and our preschooler. The area is nice and quiet. The foosball table, ping pong table, and other games were a really fun perk. All the TVs were Roku TVs, which made it really easy to stream everything. Host was very helpful and responsive. Definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay this weekend at Hidden Cove. We swam, rode our floaties and kayaked. Also we grilled some meat on the barbeque and had s'mores on the firepit at night:) The lake is about 80 yards walking on the mowed grass. There is a one-piece set of wooden plank table and benches outside assigned to the cabin not shown in the pictures. It is slightly heavy but moveable - you may need to move it to place it under the shade of the trees as that moves. Another thing not shown in the pictures is a one-burner electrical stove in the kitchen. We were 7 people (2 adults and 5 children) sleeping in the cabin and we slept all fine - our youngest boy loved climbing to the top bunk. The linens and pillows were very nice. Also, the a/c seems to be more than powerful enough to beat the heat there. Thank you!

I can’t say enough good things about this park and the cabin. It was perfect for what I needed, everyone I met was super friendly, and it was great to be lakeside. The hosts are awesome people, the gentleman doing the maintenance is super cool, just one of the better stays. I will absolutely be returning in the future when I need some R&R!

The cottage was so cute and comfortable. Hosts were very prompt with communications and extremely helpful. Loved our stay.

We have stayed with Kathleen before, and it is always a great experience! We enjoy the privacy and the access to the pond. Our family has made many great memories here. We lost our daughter 2 weeks ago, and I wanted this to be the place we came after her memorial. It was one of the last places we were together as a family. Kathleen made sure to accommodate us and was so thoughtful. I will definitely be back again. It's becoming our home away from home when we visit our family in Dallas. Thank you Kathleen!

My stay at the lake house was excellent. The view is absolutely stunning and the modern amenities are wonderful. Would absolutely stay here again!

This cabin is truly remarkable, exceeding all expectations. The level of detail and care put into its design by the host is evident throughout, from the unique bicycle adorned with flower baskets to the numerous outdoor areas that offer breathtaking views and the soothing sounds of nature. The presence of the dogs adds to the overall charm of the experience. Bonnie, the host, is exceptionally attentive and dedicated to ensuring her guests have a memorable stay. She provided us with excellent recommendations for local dining and a delightful flea market. The cabin's convenient access makes it easy to come and go, and despite being just a short 10-minute drive from town, it offers a sense of seclusion and tranquility. I would highly recommend this cabin without hesitation.

I’m writing this review instead of my husband because I have OCD and am incredibly particular about cleanliness and comfort when staying at other people’s homes. That being said… this lake house was practically PERFECT! I had zero issues with cleanliness and found myself daydreaming about living here forever. It was such a relief to not feel the usual stress and hesitation about touching anything or even walking barefoot on the floors—everything was spotless. NO CLOTHES WERE HIDDEN BEHIND CURTAINS (for some reason most homes we’ve stayed at have this problem)!!! I legit took pictures of their interior design highlight to get ideas for my own home too. The hosts thought of every tiny detail to make the stay welcoming and comfortable (they made elephants out of towels! What beautiful human thought of that?!)!I would recommend this place 1000% to even my closest family members! I truly hope I get the chance to come back soon.
