Chalet holiday rentals in Sabah

A near perfect place if you're looking for a relaxing, phenomenal location at Kudat, Sabah. The location is right exactly at the tip of Borneo, which is an excellent location to capture the ambience, be it sunrise, sunset, milky way, you name it, as it's just a single step out of the room. The room is nice enough for 3 pax and it's well organized just as displayed in the picture. The only complaint I have is the operating hour of the restaurant is a bit too short given that it's closing at 8:30pm, and there's an unexplainable electric blackout that happens rarely. In conclusion, it was a pleasant stay and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a temporary escape from the city to the beach. (P/S: the road around the area is extremely jolting so I highly recommend you to look for an SUV for a safer drive in Kudat. Cheers!)

Mabul Paradise is a great great place for your vacation trips. It is very nice, very peaceful place. the most important thing is, the host , crew members , all people is very nice, helpful and friendly. host is an awesome guy that all visitors and travellers love them so so so much

Howard and his family warmly welcomed us, and I had an absolutely perfect stay at their place. I still remember our first night—we had just finished climbing the mountain and drove four hours to get here. It was nearly midnight when we arrived, but Mr. Howard was patiently waiting for us and kindly reminded us to drive safely. This small gesture truly touched me. Over the next few days, Howard and His wife prepared delicious breakfasts for us every morning and patiently introduced us to the surrounding area, local restaurants, and travel tips. The cabin is perfectly located close to the sea and surrounded by a beautiful forest. Every morning, I woke up to the refreshing scent of nature. Time seemed to slow down here, and I felt completely at ease. I highly recommend supporting Howard and his family—they have contributed so much to the local community and are a truly warm and loving family. I will definitely come back again! — Stella (Yifan)

The house is very beautiful, the food is also very good, I caught up with gratitude for the night, the boss gave me a meal, the sea is just outside the window, the scenery is very good, I recommend ~

We - my 20 year old son & I - were two on Borneorundreise & made a stop in Mabul for some diving. Our choice for the property fell on the Mabul Paradies Lodge. Very authentic. Great host David (The Boss) with extremely friendly & helpful staff. All dives were perfectly organized & the diving instructor Eddie & his Dive Master Nelson were great. The typical Asian food was top & could be greatly upgraded by buying freshly caught seafood & fishing. The seafood & fish were prepared extremely deliciously by the in-house kitchen at the desired time. Sometimes David himself is in the kitchen. During our stay he prepared crabs and giant shrimp as well as a Chinese soup & invited us to eat with it. All by family recipe; delicious!!! We will be happy to come back. Our expectations were more than met. We felt very comfortable with David & his team.

We had a wonderful stay here. The owner, David and his wife, are interesting, welcoming people. David’s communication was great; he even arranged a fabulous trip to sipidan for us before arrival. Everyone went out of their way to take care of us, especially the cook and kitchen staff in preparing delicious mantis shrimp, and David even treated us to special fish and fruit. Water is provided and no single use plastic, yay. Job was very friendly and helpful with snorkeling suggestions. We saw loads of great marine life in the house reef (as well as trash sadly), and enjoyed a snorkeling trip to Kapalai island. Our Room B on the main floor had a private bath, good AC, an ocean view, and a little deck to hang clothes. No WiFi and very little phone service. The atmosphere is generally lively, often with Chinese tour groups, and occasionally loud karaoke can be heard from the hotel next door (never past 11pm). But the benefits far outweigh any minor inconveniences. Highly recommended!!!!

Very friendly host, will keep communicating with you to ensure you arrived the place. Nice room and of course is a good place to stay if you would like to out away from city and take a fresh air

It's very convenient diving, especially if you go to Sibatan Xiao, it's fun and talkative, you will feel that the hotel is family-style, many returning guests, and atmosphere is very good. A lot of water around the hotel is transparent, green, beautiful, and casually.There is also a big highlight that locals will hold the boat to sell fresh seafood. The value for money is very good and delicious!You can also take beautiful photos

Probably the best beach retreat in Sabah 😉 Nathasia’s place is the perfect beach retreat - simple yet beautifully designed wooden huts with fully equipped outdoor bathrooms blend into the trees and pristine beach setting. Delicious home cooked meals - the brothers running the place day to day are doing so beautifully paying every attention to details. I couldn’t recommend enough!

We’ve been eyeing this beach retreat for quite some time, especially the clifftop cabin. It was amazing and worth the trip, despite the 3.5 hour drive from Kota Kinabalu airport. Amenities complete, with a “big natural tv” merely by looking out the window. The beach is easily accessible. Cerol and the rest of the team was very helpful and made us feel safe, with them making periodical rounds, beachfront. Only snag is the litter scattered beachfront, as we walked along the stretch. We will definitely come back for a longer stay.
