Our group of seven spent four nights at Miia's cottage on the shores of Linnansaari National Park. We had an excellent time! The main cottage is on the small side for seven, the three kids were going to sleep in a loft space but with the noise challenges of lofts we elected to have them sleep in the sauna cottage, which has a beautiful sleeping space. We took full advantage of the ping pong table, darts, hot tub and sauna(s). We also rowed over to nearby islands several times (tons of mushrooms growing over there!). There were no other people nearby, really, so it felt very private. The back deck is perfect for lounging and eating meals when the weather is good. Miia helped us find a local fishing guide and gave us other helpful recommendations. We popped south to Savonlinna one day to walk the town and have a meal. All in all, we highly recommend a stay at Miia's!

Once in a while you find a very special place which resonates with every fibre of your being. This is one such place. Simple and rustic yet with everything you could need. Stunning views of what feels like an enormous frozen lake surrounded by trees. The location feels remote but it’s only 35 minutes from the lovely town of Porvoo and an hour from Helsinki. This place holds a deep stillness which breathes peace and contentment into the present moment. Jonathan’s a lovely helpful host, warm and friendly. The sauna and hot tub are of a high quality and workmanship. This is the place I’ll never forget.

Excellent place, greatly decorated and clean, make you feel at home straight away. The view and location is breathtaking. a piece of heaven. great for family and friends. ..the best Sauna experience that I had in Finland so far.

This was my third time visiting Heikki’s place, and as always, everything was wonderful. The house was exceptionally clean and well equipped, making our stay very comfortable. We reserved the hot tub, and it was an incredible experience during the winter—truly a highlight of our visit. The grill room was also very convenient in the cold weather. Heikki was incredibly helpful and responsive, ensuring we felt truly welcomed. The only minor suggestion for improvement would be the mattresses and pillows, as they were not completely comfortable. Overall, it was another great stay, and I highly recommend Heikki’s place. Thank you again for your hospitality!

It was a perfect place for peace and tranquility seekers. We loved the design, furniture and the surrounding nature. Hosts are responsive and very friendly.

We had a very enjoyable weekend at Villa Nyåsa, we were 7 persons and we fitted in very well. Villa Nyåsa was a very cosy, comfortable, well equipped, extremely clean, clutter free, tastefully furnished holiday home. Ulf and Karina were super hosts, warm and hospitable making us feel welcome in their lovely villa.

Our best Finnish holiday yet! A super comfortable apartment right in the town centre (we managed without a hire car), all the beds and kitchen items top quality and lovely views to enjoy. No sauna but there's a public one on the lake, a 3-min walk away. We paid €13, wore swimsuits and met the friendly locals who go there every week. Fresh lake fish available to buy at the market. Went skiing at Messilä one day, superb. And the ice skating is free of charge in Heinola! We will be back for sure. Kiitos!
