Apartment holiday rentals in Saint Louis

My stay at Eric’s place was comfortable. I needed for nothing because Eric already thought of it. This is a beautifully designed place. The attention to design was well thought out, and I appreciate that thoroughly. Aside from the apartment having everything I needed, Eric’s place was very clean and the location was perfect. Only one con from me: I’m an American who speaks English and Spanish. All of the correspondence and notes within the apartment were in French which made me spend too much time using Google translate. I hope that next time I will see translations for the major languages of the world such as English, Spanish and French. Other than that, hands down, if you book with Eric you will not regret it. Such a gem! A true diamond in the rough.

We really enjoyed staying at Eva's place. The place was very spacious and clean. You can notice the care taken to decorate the apartment and make it convenient. Eva and her husband also served us a great breakfast and were available from the beginning to the end of our stay. We would recommend and would not hesitate to stay there if we return to the area.

smart, quiet apartment with air conditioning which was very necessary. Beds very comfortable. Taxis to the island pass quite regularly. price of taxis rather erratic. Not so easy to walk to a supermarket but there was a decent restaurant just around the corner.

Our family of five, including three young kids, stayed in this apartment for approximately two months. I think it is probably one of the best, if not the best, long-stay apartment in Saint Louis. The private terrace with views in almost every direction is the centre piece. The kitchen is small but functional, and otherwise the apartment is very spacious. It’s a great space to have friends over for dinner, or coffee or drinks on the terrace, which is a bit removed from the hubbub of the city. The staff of the hotel below the apartment are very friendly and helpful, and it’s convenient to be able to occasionally visit the hotel restaurant/bar for a meal or dessert. The neighbourhood is in the heart of old Saint Louis, with shops nearby, heaps of life in the streets, and plenty of interesting architecture to explore while strolling around the island. The French Institute and French school are about a 12 minute walk away. I would say this apartment is very suitable for families like ours who intend to stay in Saint Louis for awhile to study French, or just to appreciate the place at a slower pace. The discounts for long term rentals make the overall price reasonable. The apartment is at the top of the building, and there is no elevator, and while that could be a challenge for some, we appreciated the exercise. The one inconvenience we experienced during our stay was with respect to odours. We occasionally detected an unpleasant smell from the bathroom plumbing, and the restaurant kitchen vents just outside the apartment bringing cooking smells inside depending on the direction of the wind. That said, these minor inconveniences were far offset by the great virtues of this apartment. We would happily stay there again in similar circumstances.

the place was great near the city centre and with a beautiful view overlooking the river. Souleymane was very responsive and helpful, will definitely stay there again.

Mamadou was very kind. Upon arrival, they had prepared cold local juices for us. The place was clean and very well located. If we go back, we'll repeat it without a doubt.
