Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Salt Spring Island

Beautiful Getaway! Our family of 5 (2 adults, 5-year-old, 1-year-old, small dog) spent American Thanksgiving week at Carley's place on Pender Island and had an amazing and relaxing week of family time. The house is even more unique (in the best possible way) than the pictures show, the views are amazing, and the kids spent days just exploring the space. We hiked each day, explored the island, and enjoyed the sunsets and fireplace. The hosts are communicative, and the place has all the amenities you could need. 10/10 would recommend and hope to come back again!

What can I say.... this place is fantastic!! Our large group of 7 had ample rooms to sleep in, Matt and Kyrstle were responsive, welcoming and informative. The house is well appointed with everything you need, and was very organized. The location was perfect, quiet but close enough to great attractions. They are super hosts for a reason, this place and experience was super. Some of our guests also enquired about booking it for themselves another time. Fabulous stay all around. Thank you Matt and Kyrstle for a fantastic stay at your beautiful home.

Seymour was responsive and check-in was a breeze. We felt right at home in the tidy house with spacious rooms. The labels around the house were helpful and unobtrusive. Great location for tourists, and nature lovers. Shopping, dining and a lovely coffeeshop near by. Comfortable beds and linens. This was definitely the best Air B&B I’ve stayed in and hope to stay here again each time I return to the island.

We had a wonderful stay. Devanie was amazing, she went extra mile to get us an anti-slip mat and make sure we have enough propane gas for the BBQ grill. The surrounding was delightful, we were lucky to see a few deers in the backyard as well as a double rainbow. Will definitely try again during summer!

We had an incredible time at Jack’s place! The house was immaculately clean, stylishly decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect - close to an outlet mall, grocery stores, restaurants and within walking distance to the gym, playground and beach. It was also a close drive to the BC Ferries Tsawwassen Terminal. But what truly made our stay special was Jack’s hospitality. He was incredibly responsive, provided us with great recommendations, and even left us a thoughtful welcome gift (chocolates for the kids!). We highly recommend Jack’s place to anyone looking for a warm and welcoming stay. We can't wait to come back!

The house was exactly what we wanted for our girls trip. It was peaceful and a place we could all hang out together. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit because of the rain but we did get to spend some time enjoying the scenery outdoors. It was a wonderful stay.

Great place had everything we needed Terry was super helpful and friendly to communicate with regarding any questions we had. Over all would definitely recommend staying here!

Marian's place was absolutely beautiful , very well furnished , great supply of coffee, teas and breakfast options . Very close to local shops and amenities , transit also just around the corner . I would highly recommend this place to anyone thinking of visiting this part of the world

unit was immaculately clean, well furnished, and all was as described. Host responded quickly to queries. Comfortable bed, and heavenly pillows. As host mentioned, there is a mill directly across the street which could be a problem for light sleepers. Earplugs are provided. Overall, an exceptionally good experience. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a great place to stay Gloria and John are great people, This is our second stay here. I cannot praise this place enough. Comfy beds plenty of hot water , and all else you might needs

Astrid and Stephen’s place is our favourite home away from home in Cowichan Bay. It is quiet and private, and everything we need (the bakery!) is close by. The apartment is spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed. We enjoy the changing views and variety of wildlife right outside the window. We visit as often as possible for our art retreats and always wish we could stay longer. We so appreciate being able to travel to such a special local gem and look forward to our next visit. Thank you again!

This is a fabulous place to stay in this area. Quiet with such a well equipped kitchen. Loved the heated bathroom floor!!

Magical!! Even more beautiful than the photos. The place was exceptionally clean and hosts very responsive. Communication excellent. I would love to come back here and just sit and enjoy the view some more.

Very clean, quiet and peaceful - felt like we were the only ones in the building! BEAUTIFUL view, and kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed. Was a short drive to Sidney (definitely check out “Sidney Scones)! Only recommendation would be black-out blinds in the master bedroom (if you like to sleep in) as it was very bright in the morning, but perfect if you’re a morning person :)

It was great place for our family of four. Very spacious and had everything we needed for our weekend. Brian was responsive and had no issues.

Nice place. Great location Closet was small and furnishings were a bit out of scale and dated. Pillows were mis matched. Kitchen was clunky with no oven just a toaster oven. Noise from the garage door and cars coming and going was irritating. Kit drawer did not work, and drawer front was separated. Threshold to bath was splintered. Overall just needed some careful maintenance.

Excellent on all points. The apartment was spacious, clean with modern furnishings. the view from the balcony was a highlight. Kristin and Ryan were responsive and helpful - we appreciated the extra bit of time to check out. Parking is easy to access and just a stones throw from the main street of town.

We had a lovely time staying in Tammy’s home. It was really clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. She is very responsive and we were able to check in a bit early on our arrival. The bed is very comfortable and there is a lovely view of the water from the patio. We would definitely stay here again! The resort has a tennis court, lots of grills, one campfire pit, dock for crabbing or boats, beach for clamming. The property is very well kept. Thanks again Tammy for such a lovely stay!

When we had to vacate our home for restoration purposes, we were lucky to find this sweet, cozy space to make our 'home' for almost a month. Bryan and Phyllis were prompt and attentive to all that we needed. On top of that, they were such a pleasure to meet. Simply good people. We couldn't have asked for better.

stayed at 201 for our daughter's wedding. Everything from check in to check out was flawless. The amenities provided were above and beyond and exactly as described. Our hosts made our experience stress free and easy to manage. I would highly recommend staying at the 201.

Me (50s), Mom (80s), and Auntie (70s) stayed at Denise's place for 4 days at the end of January. It was PERFECT! The unit is beautiful, clean, quiet, comfortable beds and sofas, PLENTY of storage with flat surfaces & baskets to put things, enough plugs, extra towels and blankets, a cook's kitchen, easy access to parking and our car. The location is peaceful and pretty, awesome pool & hot tub with a VIEW, nice grounds with rabbits & eagles, and a quick drive to parks/trails. The few people we ran into were very kind and friendly. Denise was super responsive and helpful. We HIGHLY recommend!
