My second stay at the Chateau and the place was perfect for my needs. Bill was very commutative with me at all times, even informing me of the planned power cuts in the area. The staff were excellent and always very helpful, when I bought a group of 18 for swimming, food and Kareoke they coped very well. ( thank you Wendy a goid time was had by all ! ) Bed and pillows super comfy, air con ok, restaurant and facilities excellent. There is now a new set of proper steps to the beach with handrails which is a great improvement. You will have the beach to yourself and perfect for a morning swim ! The location is 20 minutes from town in beautiful quiet surroundings away from the noise. Trycycles pass all day for around 30 pesos will take you to Calbayog Town. I will definitely return and would highly recommend this place for a nice relaxing stay.

The place was serene and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing staycation. We had breakfast overlooking the beach by sunrise, and walked on the beach by sunset. We didn't swim on the beach because of the jellyfish, but we were able to enjoy the pool with the sound of calm waves at the background. Our room was also clean and spacious. Disney+ in our room and cable in the shared living room were available and working. Ms. Kat and her family were very kind and hospitable. They offered us different kinds of food, and even had us taste torta, a delicacy in Samar. Ms. Kat was also very helpful in giving directions, and arranging tours and transportation for us in Tacloban, Leyte, and Basey, Samar. The caretakers were also very pleasant and assisted us in getting a van back to Tacloban on our last day. We truly enjoyed our stay as it felt like a home away from home. We hope to be back with our families in the future!

Christian made a bad trip into an absolute delight. In spite of his English roots (jk) he is a class act and the best thing about the place. Very friendly (in spite of being born in England ), intelligent, mannered, can talk about anything. He was the best entertainment in the facility. If you stay, sit down with this gentleman or play a game in pool. You will laugh and be wowed the whole time. ty my new friend.

A beautiful location, incredibly peaceful and welcoming. Raffy was a fantastic host who looked after our every need. I honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better to be there for us when we needed. He was knowledgable about the area, escorted us when we went into town, and organised trips and travel whenever it was required. Possibly the best host I have ever had and probably ever will have on Airbnb! The views from the cottage in the morning and evening are wonderful, and everyone we spoke to that lived nearby were friendly and welcoming. We had everything we needed in the cottage and the beds were comfortable. A perfect start to our trip to the Philippines, I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Very interesting part of the Philipinnes, in a fishing village about 7 km from the bustling town of Naval. We were well taken care of by the property manager, Raffy, who speaks excellent English, is kind and very well liked and connected in the community to solve any problem that might arise. He showed us around Naval, so we knew the location of the fish market etc. Highly recommended.

Christian is part of the value of this place. He was entertaining for me, every time. much better than tv or a movie. His only bad trait is he is English (JK)

We were travelling from Manila to Siargao and Christian's place is the perfect spot to stay at after a long drive. We got stuck in Naga due to the flooding brought about by TS Kristine. Christian was kind enough to hold the place for us until we've successfully rode the roro. He even upgraded our room to a bigger one to accommodate my 5 dogs. Pros: Shower heater!! I really thought I had to endure a cold shower after a very long and tiring ride (and traffic) but the room had it. It was amazing! The room was big, with strong wifi. Water pressure was good. There's still a lot of things to improve, but the overall stay was awesome. Would love to go back and chat more with the owner. It felt like we spent the night at a friend's place. Oh! and the place was right in front of the sea so you can feel the breeze especially in the morning. Too bad the resto was closed when we stayed but I bet the food tastes great. They serve iced Americano, one of the best I tasted so far for its price.
