Two-Room Modern Rustic Garden Suite

Kensington is a quaint, palm tree-lined, historical & walkable village. The 2 room garden suite is a 3-minute walk to shops, coffee spots, restaurants, an organic grocery and wine bars. Downtown San Diego, Gaslamp, Little Italy, Convention Center, Petco Park, Balboa Park, multiple beaches, San Diego Zoo, etc are all an easy 10-15 min. drive away! Quick 10 minute Uber Ride to downtown Gaslamp nightlife, the Zoo, Petco Park, etc. Take your pick of numerous gleaming beaches a quick, straight 15-20 minute ride away. Trolley Stop Close (5 min drive), Bus stop at end of street. Immediate freeway access. Near literally everything. Kensington rocks! Central to ALL- 10 min. to Downtown, convention center, Gaslamp, airport, Beaches (20 minutes) REALLY close to SDSU (10 min. max), 20 min from University of San Diego. Immediate freeway access and 5 minutes from Trolley station. Bus stop at end of street. VERY short Uber ride ANYWHERE!

Find a Country Feel in the City with Rural Views

Sit out in the backyard then come indoors to relish leafy views from a triple-aspect living room. The apartment has a cottage feel with window boxes and wooden fittings. A hanging plant, and white linens provide a calming feeling. Awake to the songs of birds and explore our 1/2 acre of fruit trees, vegetable beds, and landscape. Yet most of San Diego’s attractions are just 5 to 10 miles away. The new kitchen is included in your space so you can prepare your own meals if desired. Cooking equipment included are a convection toaster oven, coffee maker, hot pot, a microwave, and an induction plate, pots & pans, kitchen tools, cutlery and dishes. We also provide coffee, tea, sugar, salt & pepper, cooking oil, and ice. This space is attached to our main home but you’ll have your own separate entrance and private kitchen/ living, bed and bath. We'd love to greet you and show you around when you arrive, but if we happen to miss you will have your own unique door code to get in. We’ve prepared a binder of information for guests and can help you plan for best use of your time. However if you prefer to be on your own we’re fine with that too. We have walked to downtown or to the nearest trolley, but unless you are walkers and out for exercise, you will probably want a car. There are now lots of bikes available for rent, but it will be uphill to get back to the house. Some of our guests have chosen to rely only on Uber, in which case grocery and/or meal delivery are helpful. If you have an afternoon or evening flight you are welcome to store luggage at our house after your 10 AM check out. We are in a hilly residential area with stores, restaurants and bus/ trolley access about 2 miles away, so you'll have the most flexibility if you come by car. If you choose to Uber, you can order groceries or takeout meals to be delivered.

Beautiful, clean space-perfect for the solo traveler! Small french-door retreat w/private deck, table & chair for morning coffee and meals. 3 houses from the ocean & sandy beach access 1 block over! Just a few blocks walk to Newport Ave, where you can enjoy fantastic restaurants, coffee shops, local shopping, ice cream shop, bars & breweries. Walk one direction to the OB Pier & town, or the other direction to the stunning Sunset Cliffs. No matter what you choose to do, you will enjoy this Jewel!

Modern one bedroom unit, with private entrance. Attached to the main house. Heat and air conditioning. Private backyard. Hot tub available upon request. The neighborhood is very quiet, providing a relaxing stay in a comfortable, clean setting. It is ideally located centrally to many attractions, such as beaches, San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, and Sea World, all of this places are about a 15-20 minute drive. It’s great for 2 guest. But sofa bed in the living room can accommodate +2 *extra fees

Super clean & private studio retreat.

We call our place Casita Pacifica (Peaceful Little House) as this suite is a mellow and relaxing retreat, yet in a San Diego suburb only 10-20 minutes from everything. Sadly, we no longer host peacocks, but our space is decorated in memory of their majestic energy. Our standards are high when we travel, so we created a suite that we'd love to stay in ourselves: stocked with goodies, things to do, recommendations, privacy, comfort & above all - cleanliness. This unit is located on the north side of our home and has a private entrance. The unit is newly renovated and was professionally designed for the enjoyment of our guests. It's equipped with a full kitchen, dinnerware/cookware, coffee maker, water dispenser, & a microwave. There is an AC that keeps the unit cool and a private covered patio that has seating for two and a propane grill. This unit is within walking distance from craft breweries and is within 15 minutes of most SD attractions
