This beautiful Oakland Oasis was better than I imagined it would be! This place exceeded my expectations! Coming through the gate the first night, to a path of twinkling lights leading us to our adorable cabin took my breath away! It was the perfect location for peace and quiet right in the middle of Oakland. My only regret is that I didn’t spend more time on the property. We flew in from out of state to visit friends and spent a lot of time out and about. I definitely want to come back to spend more time hanging out in the backyard with the goats and chickens. My 13-year-old loved the backyard, the trampoline and the animals. The location was very walkable and within several blocks of many restaurants and shops. We rented a car and street parking was easily accessible. Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park was only an 8 minute drive away and we spent most mornings walking through the mountains enjoying the beautiful trees and views of San Francisco. Highly recommend this listing!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming stand-alone cottage in Kensington, and it exceeded all my expectations. Nestled in a serene garden setting, the cottage offers a peaceful retreat that's both private and comfortable. The detached nature of the guesthouse ensures complete privacy, making it an ideal spot for both work and relaxation. Additionally, the convenience of on-site parking adds to the overall ease of the stay. I highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone seeking a tranquil and comfortable getaway.

Amy's place was wonderful - one of the few places we've ever stayed that was even better in person than in pictures. It was clean, spacious, and very comfortable for the 2 of us. The outdoor space was amazing, plenty of quiet spaces to lounge in the sun and walk around. The area was great as well, quiet but close to downtown, and Amy was a thoughtful and responsive host, we really appreciated her thoughtfulness. The one thing to note is that the Wi-fi could be unreliable - we both worked from the Airbnb, and made it work for the week, but something to note for future visitors. We'd definitely recommend this place and plan to come back next time we visit. Thank you Amy!

We stayed here to explore San Francisco and take day trips around the area! SF is about 20-30 minutes depending on what part of the city. Half moon bay is around 30 minutes as well. SFO is very close around 15 minutes. You do hear the occasional rumble of airplanes landing and taking off but wasn’t an inconvenience for us. This Airbnb is separate from the main house and you need to walk through the backyard to get there. We did find a couple spiders in the unit. Maybe because it’s an older home and surrounded by nature. Overall, we had a pleasant experience staying here. Parking is convenient on the driveway and the unit had everything we would have needed. Hosts were very responsive and we enjoyed our stay!

We had a nice stay at the Berry Patch cottage. It’s bigger than what shows in photos – you have to walk from the bedroom through the kitchen and living room to the bathroom. We spent most of our time in the bedroom cozied up next to the propane fireplace. This cottage does not have a fully enclosed yard like the smaller cottage next door. Our dogs still enjoyed exploring the yard on leash, and there are plenty of options for walks in the neighborhood and nearby. The modest digs was all that we needed to have a lovely weekend. Jeri is a sweet host and her raspberry jam is delicious on a slice of local bread!

If you need to stay in West Berkeley, this is a very convenient spot. The cottage is unusual and artistic. We particularly enjoyed the upstairs kitchen with loads of windows.

This was a perfect place to decompress during a busy work trip. The space is beautiful, and the attached gym is such a nice treat! Everything was exactly as described, clean and lovely. I would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our stay at Barbara's charming Backyard Beach House for the third time, and felt at home there. We find it restful to stay in this quiet neighborhood. It's always nice to communicate with Barbara and Ken, as they are readily available if we have questions or requests. We consider this house a gem of a find. Thank you again Barbara and Ken for contributing to our lovely vacation.

Yao has a great unit to stay at! The whole apartment is well kept, clean & well updated. We would definitely stay again if needed. Communication, check in, and location were also very good.

Mary Lee and David have created an apartment that feels like home. Very thoughtful supplies and amenities, very responsive hosts, in a quiet and uncrowned neighborhood with easy access walking to the historic center, easy parking and easy access to the freeway. Met and exceeded all our needs.

This is our fourth stay at Creole Place. Both Susan and her husband Gerald are very accommodating, kind, and responsive in every way without ever interfering in any way. The quiet location is easily accessed plus it is a quick walk to Safeway, CVS, and shops and restaurants at Red Hill Shopping Center. Our grandson has stayed with us and loves visiting. There is a beautiful very large screen TV with multiple kid friendly programs. A park with a ball diamond and playground, and a nice hill for exploration are both close by. Nice restaurants close by, but I really also enjoy cooking in the lovely kitchen. We celebrated Christmas** here with our family, and have made reservations to return to Creole Cottage in late April. **We were not able to find Christmas wrapping paper (last minute gifts) and the stores were SOLD OUT. I ran into Susan and mentioned going back to get bags when I really wanted/needed paper. She was there in 5 minutes with her wrapping paper.♥️

Great place, very private and comfortable.

Robert and Pamela are the nicest people. Their neighborhood is up away from the Hwy9 in the midde of the forest with redwood trees growing nearby. The unit is cozy with a nice kitchen and modern bathroom. The bed is comfortable and inviting. Nice tree views out the windows. Great location for getting to know Boulder Creek and surrounding area. Santa Cruz is a nice distance away for a day visit and then you can return to the peaceful forest when done.

Christina's guest house was the perfect place for our family on our quick teip. It was just the right amount if space and the property was beautiful. The views were especially amazing. Charlie, the dog, was an added bonus. He was so friendly.

This place was incredible! Clean, comfortable, and felt just like home! The host was very friendly, the location was perfect, and the fresh eggs were delicious! We’re already talking about coming back to the area soon and hope to stay here again when that time comes! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

It’s like a Cape Cod bungalow. Cozy and comfortable. Located in a great neighborhood, walkable to downtown Morgan Hill, this newly renovated cottage is well appointed and immaculately maintained. Our host, Betsey, is very kind and accommodating. She is accessible when needed, but is not intrusive to her guests. I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough but hesitate to do so in hopes of keeping it all to ourselves. You will not be disappointed with both the cottage and its amazing host, Betsey

Silvia clearly enjoys spoiling her guests! The Studio is furnished with everything you need and more including a yoga mat, Echo Show for music options, coffee for the week, snacks and lots of other thoughtful items like bathrobes and slippers. The sleeper sofa and pillows are comfortable and it is quiet at night for easy sleeping. The shower is large with 2 spray heads and plenty of hot water. The WiFi works well and there is room for 2 at the workspace counter. Some of the appliances to be found in the kitchen - Kitchenaid Mixer, Vitamix Blender, rice cooker - totally outfitted with cooking/baking gear and utensils. The pretty view from the french doors and 2 sets of seating options on the patio enlarge the space, and luggage can slide under the sofa bed so it’s out of the way. Silvia responded promptly to any questions and was extremely accommodating to any requests that we had. Good shopping & dining is nearby. Great stay - looking forward to booking again!

Helen's place is roomy with a well-equipped kitchen and a nice bathroom. The dishwasher and washer/dryer provided added convenience. The location is just off busy Woodside Road with a Safeway market about 5 minutes away on foot.

Great host, very quick to respond the place was wonderful and I enjoyed my stay there and will be definitely looking forward to staying here in the future as well five stars highly recommended!

Wow.... just WOW! The Bathhouse is definitely one, if not, the best BNB we've stayed at. It felt just like home the moment we stepped in. Every corner and every detail of the house was thoughtfully designed to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. The hot tub outside surrounded by plants and the big redwood was definitely the cherry on top. Also, Suzanne gave clear directions on finding the place. Her guidebook was also very helpful and provided lots of recommendations. She even left us a little treat for our anniversary. ♥️ The Bathhouse was definitely my favorite during our trip to SF.

We chose this stay to host guests over the holidays and it had everything we could’ve needed. The kitchen was functional for cooking breakfast and the rooms were very private and had their own bathrooms. Xing Tian was very helpful when we needed an extra gate key, and when we had any questions. We’ll definitely be coming back!
