I spent a few days in these cabanas and everything was perfect. The place is clean, comfortable and surrounded by nature, ideal for relax. The attention of the staff was excellent, always friendly and willing to help. It certainly exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience. The cabin is beautiful and the hosts are very attentive. San José is a very quiet place so the stay is perfect for relaxing and resting.

Hard to overstate how beautiful the surroundings are here and how charming the Swiss chalet like structure is. Working fireplace with firewood supplied was a real treat! Balcony wonderful to watch the sunset. Tens across the board as Rupal would say.

You have to stay here! This was my most beautiful stay yet in Mexico. The view is beautiful, the bedrooms and facilities are perfect and cosy, the restaurant food and coffee is incredible and great value, but most of all the host family are the most kind and beautiful people- I can’t wait to come back here.

Beautiful, tranquil location. Clean with hot running water and an incredible view. I missed her message about bringing cash to the village which is crucial! Luckily, Ivonne was super helpful in finding ways to aquire pesos while we were there!

Simple nice cabin with cozy fireplace. Centrally located in the town and easy to walk to food and Internet. Probably the best place you will find in San Mateo

Cabin La Vía Láctea is located less than 10 minutes from San Jose & access to the cabin was very easy from the road down a short path with a few steps. The neighbouring cabins were well placed below cabin La Via Láctea which gave a nice feeling of privacy. Check-in was flawless per the instructions. The kitchen had most everything needed to cook meals. Wifi was easy to connect & good. The only drawback was that we couldn't access hot water in the morning for a shower...the pilot was not lit & we couldn't light it. We were checking out early so we had no time to get help. It really didn't ruin our 1 night stay & I am certain that if we had the time to notify Areli it would have been remedied quickly. The fireplace was stocked with enough wood for the night & really kept the cabin toasty along with the warm blankets on the comfy beds. I forgot my charger & let Areli know; she had it waiting for me in San Jose. I highly recommend & will be booking there again! Gracias Areli❣

We stayed here for the holidays and it was perfect! It was close to everything, we did have a vehicle which made it convenient. One thing to note is that the cabin does have a steep hill from the parking lot but I we didn’t mind !! And would totally stay here again. On our last night we had the most beautiful sunset which you can appreciate from your patio. I can go on and on about this place and Aniceto was super helpful !! Recommended us great places, and was always available to answer any questions we had. 10/10 recommend! The restaurant that is in the hotel is also amazing!!!!!

The location & views are a dream. Cozy cabin with comfy bed and fireplace for the cold nights. Plenty of blankets available, very comfortable bed. Reachable from the bus station in 5 minutes.

This place is a total hidden gem! It feels off the beaten path in a really good way. Here, you will get to have a sweet and authentic experience without a lot of fluff. The cabins are rustic but nice — private enough, hot water, warm/comfortable beds and a fireplace stocked with firewood. Plus, the gardens and views are incredible! Be patient with the hosts because they are new to Airbnb and might still be figuring some things out with the app, but when they greet you in person it’s the warmest welcome — and they want to make things right. This is a great alternative to some of the fancier and build out places to stay, and it feels like you are supporting true locals. Love it!

Excellent cabin with the essentials to be in comfort. The forest is your neighbor and the cenzontles your alarm clock.

The place is just as you can see in the photos, it was very nice and cozy, I would definitely stay at the cabin again.

This place was exactly what I needed. It is a bit of a drive from the main road, but it was my intention to be somewhere peaceful and secluded. If you look through the images the last photo is a map of where it is for reference. We made sure to come fully stocked with food and water since it isnt that close to restaurants. The cabin is right next to the stream, and all you hear is the running water and birds singing. In addition to that the hosts were very attentive and polite. The best part of the whole trip was the little dog that lives on the property. I would like to come back just to visit him again. He was the first to greet us and the one to see us off. I think if you find a way to complain about this place, you’re missing the whole point.
