Cottage holiday rentals in Sawyer

The house was super cozy and perfect for our girl's weekend. The layout was great and there was enough space for all of us. Beds were comfy and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The location makes it easy to get around to different areas, so we were able to explore a lot of local breweries and wineries. We also snuck in some exploring along Lake Michigan even though it was cold. The guidebook left in the house had a lot of suggestions, so we are definitely considering coming back to stay again so we can check out some of those in the future! Host was great at offering suggestions as well. Perfect place for a weekend getaway!

Three friends and I stayed here for a writing retreat. We chose this space because it has ample bedrooms and beds (5 - no bunking situations), and 3 full bathrooms. We also appreciated the seating area conducive for our writing. The hot tub was an amazing addition, even in the cold of the winter. This house also came fully loaded with all the amenities in the kitchen needed to keep us indoors and productive. Electric kettles, ample plating, silverware, basic seasonings, extra towel, washcloths - those extra touches mattered! So thankful to our amazing hosts! I can only imagine how great this spot is in the summer. I hope it’s as affordable in the summer as it was for us this winter!

Really enjoyed staying at Lees place. Was looking for a quiet peaceful weekend getaway and that’s what Lee provided. While the detailed amenities were not to the Nth degree like at some locations, it was just as advertised. Hot tub worked great in the snow and sub zero wind chills. Would definitely revisit this location. Went up and down the coast touring lighthouses. Had an amazing time. Quaint location with just the right things to do for what I was looking for. Thanks Lee!!

My fiancé and I visited Donna’s place over a summer weekend, and we had the most amazing time. Donna’s house is so beautiful and welcoming - we felt at home. Her place was clean and is filled with the most thoughtful decor. It has everything anyone needs for a peaceful, relaxing stay. She was responsive right from the day of booking to our final day and even stopped by to meet us in person. We look forward to staying at her house again soon!

This was a wonderful little getaway in Michigan. My wife and I stayed for a few days in early March, and the drive from Chicago was only about an hour and a half. The place was pristine and beautifully decorated, the hot tub was clean and functional and easy to use, and there were many nice personal touches in the place that made us feel welcomed and right at home. The record player with oldies on vinyl is a nice touch! There are plenty of nice coffee places and restaurants within 10-15 minutes driving distance, and the rural feel of the cottage was very peaceful. Definitely look forward to visiting again sometime soon!

Great little house for family getaway… close to the dunes and other things to do

We had a lovely stay at NWL. It was just the holiday break we needed! Cozy living quarters, full kitchen, a pasture full of beautiful llamas and a couple very sweet doggos. Can't wait to come stay again! Highly recommend!

This cottage is a great place if you’re looking for a weekend to just chill and relax. The inside is a cozy vibe and there’s plenty of local restaurants and even grocery stores if you want to go out to eat or even bring food back to prepare in the home. But the location is also great if you’re looking to do some outdoor activities and just need a home base to return to after a day or exploring.

Great little place that was perfect for a long winter weekend getaway. Not far from state and national parks for trails. My only tip is to bring slippers if you have them and are traveling in winter as floors are chilly and the industrial stairs were neat, but slippers would’ve been nicer going up those.

Colton and Abbey have a lovely home. The beds are very comfortable. Everything was clean and orderly. Colton responds immediately if you message him. He is so helpful and friendly!! We stayed here last October and now in January 2025. We look forward to our upcoming stays in August and October of this year. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, as well as wineries, breweries and distilleries. We absolutely love the area and look forward to the next visit before we leave the present. We have been visiting the area since 2011. For a variety of reasons, this is our 4th home. It’s also our very favorite!! Colton recommended restaurants we had never heard of before. The yard is fantastic!! Our dogs love the house and the vacation as much as we do! Can’t wait to return!!!

Beautiful house for a weekend getaway in the winter with friends or by yourselves. Great location, close to the Three Oaks town and its beautiful antiques stores. We played board games by the fire and cooked and grilled, and the house was fully equipped. Would be great to see this place in the summer or fall!

A fantastic and spacious place to stay in union pier! Everything you could possibly need totally comfortable and charming! Good communication during our stay ! We had fun playing records and a nice big kitchen to cook in with everything that you need . Would definitely return 😀

spacious unit and easy to walk to downtown

Our little family had a wonderful time at Valerye's place. It was very cozy and peaceful. The cottage was stocked with a ton of amenities and necessities. The location was perfect to visit all the places we wanted to go. Hagar Park is just a quick drive down the road, it is beautiful even this time of year. Would love to come back during the summer.

Great host and great place to stay while visiting the area!

Sandy's house was very comfortable and cute. The house has many different places places to hang out (living room, porch, fire pit area, and patio area). Each area is very peaceful. Our group had such a great time hanging out there and it was about 2-3 blocks walk to the beach. Sandy had flowers from her garden in vases for us and made us feel like we were home. We would definitely stay at Sandy's again!

Louise's house is magical. I've never felt more at home in an Airbnb. The minute you open the door, you are surrounded by the beautiful colors in her gorgeous fabrics and rugs. Louise has thought of everything-from lots of towels (high humidity area and longer drying time), an incredibly well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, and lots of different seating areas and options. The screened in porch is beyond relaxing. Early mornings on the porch, listening to the birds, was my favorite way to start the day. The neighborhood beaches (15 minute walk) were private, quiet, and beautiful. Sunset at Stop 39 is the best. The beach town of New Buffalo is only a 10 minute drive, with fun rooftop restaurants and a larger beach. A farm for blueberry picking is also close by. We hope to return to Louise's again!

Seven of us (3 adults and 4 teens- ages 12-18) enjoyed our stay over Labor Day weekend! Melissa stocked the house with games (indoor and outdoor!), linens, everything you’d need in a kitchen, and even firewood for the fire pit! We were delighted to find 4 kayaks with every size life vest we could possibly need in the garage. And the kids LOVED having a bunkhouse to themselves. We spent the weekend fishing, playing games, cooking, and enjoying a private channel off the lake. It was ideal! Melissa responded incredibly quickly and was kind and thoughtful from start to finish.

Jacqueline was very helpful and descriptive about everything regarding our visit. Her home felt very peaceful and is a great choice if a lake is what you are looking for. Will likely stay here again.

Charming, romantic, rustic, peaceful. Cannot overstate how lovely our stay was. The cottage is just as described and provided everything we needed to have the weekend away that we wanted. Highly recommend getting out in the early morning to go deer spotting! We walked the entirety of the trails and enjoyed every bit of it. Definitely staying here again!
