Holiday rentals in Semora

This place is heaven on earth. Check in was a breeze. The custom log cabin in beautifully appointed; dark wood and amazing lighting and artwork. The personal touches are so beautiful. Everything we needed was there, including in the kitchen. Spotlessly clean inside and out. Sadly I had to work remotely the entire time; internet made that happen seamlessly. The best part for us was the outside. Wraparound deck with a gorgeous view of the lake, with a charcoal grill and firepit. The floating dock was also immaculately clean and has chairs, at least one table, a "tiki bar", and even a little slide into the water for the kiddos if you go in the warm weather. I did yoga at sunrise on the dock, watching the sun come up over the river. Amazing. The hosts respected our privacy and were available for messages and responsive. I can't wait to return. Almost hate writing this review because I want it to be available next time we return. Five stars for sure. You're going to LOVE it!

We have stayed in a LOT of Airbnbs before and this one took the cake, by far. The house had EVERYTHING you could think of. It was fully stocked - and not just with average items - but higher end items. The linens felt like a fancy hotel. The bathrooms were stocked with amenities. The kitchen had every gadget you could possibly need -- the knives were sharp, there were plenty of nice pans & pots, etc etc. It felt like someone lived there full time and was just letting us borrow it for a few days. Not a speck of dust or dirt anywhere. The first couple of days of our stay were rainy - but we were perfectly content relaxing inside. The fooseball table and provided games were loved by all --- the views are spectacular. My daughter even saw an otter at the bottom of the yard in the water. This was just the perfect place for a girl's weekend to celebrate my Mom's 70th birthday! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Such a wonderful place to stay! My family & I had a great time. The place was clean, there are a ton of floats, games, chairs and other supplies to make your stay enjoyable. The boat dock worked well for our boat, and we spent a good bit of time hanging out down there or on the screened porch. The walk from the boat dock to the house is a bit of a hill (like most the houses on Hyco) so consider that if you’re traveling with small children or older adults who may not walk well. Jerome & Elena are wonderful hosts and were responsive, respectful, and great to work with throughout this entire process. We’ll be back!

We booked very short notice. Tim & Emilie responded immediately. And even helped me book correctly. So Thanks Again! We were in town for a funeral and needed a pet friendly place to stay. We have gotten so use to places not being as listed we were shocked at how CLEAN ! and comfortable The Red Door Cottage was. The king bed was so comfortable. The neighborhood was also quiet. Our furbaby loved exploring the backyard which was great! Would definitely book again.

Tenesha was clear, helpful and responsive in her communication! The place was exactly as described - clean and spacious. Nice quiet neighborhood, easy to go for a walk or run and feel safe!

Roy’s place was great. My grandchildren didn’t want to leave. they had so much fun. I set up was nice and all the activities was the best. I know where I will be staying when I come back to NC!!!

I was fortunate enough to be able to book Amy’s place for Christmas and it was perfect. Large enough to have the family together with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. There isn’t one thing I would change about our stay. The house was sparkling clean and beautifully decorated for the holidays. I was lucky to briefly meet Amy and had a great chat she is very friendly. We will certainly book this house again. Thanks Amy

great place if you are the outdoors type. beautiful surroundings, lake is right there you can catch fish right off the dock. very secluded, private and plenty of woods. keep in mind it is North Carolina, and it's not flat ground. so there is a lot of hills, but it was a great stay for me. the host is great, and very responsive if you need anything.
