Cottage holiday rentals in Shenandoah Valley

Ladies getaway to Berkeley Springs for much needed relaxation. This property was adorable, close to town to walk to restaurants and the park, and the hot tub was the perfect place to relax and enjoy our time away. The beds were comfortable, the furnishings were eclectic and fun (especially the powder room door!). She had a coffee/hot cocoa bar stocked and ready which was unexpected and lovely. We could not get the gas fireplace to work and Heather came over quickly to attempt a fix which we greatly appreciated. We ended up putting the yule log from YouTube on the big TV and enjoying the living room without the real fireplace. We got recommendations from the host on local attractions and she was very considerate and responsive. This place was easily worth what we paid for it!! Give it a try!!

We had the best time at the cottage! The wine was delicious, the house was clean and cozy, and we enjoyed being able to soak in the hot tub. Andrea gave us very clear check in and out instructions and was a kind host. We will definitely be back!

My husband, daughter, pup and I very much enjoyed our weekend getaway to Creek Haven. A very picturesque and serene setting, perfect for relaxing time away. Cabin was neat and clean, we would definitely stay there again.

this place is as described. if you are looking for luxury this isn't the place for you. if you are looking for a clean,well equipped relaxing vacation this place is well worth it. there is no WiFi. my husband and I have the same plan he had coverage I did not (?) so I hot spotted off him if I needed. Darrel met us on arrival and explained everything. we were down during a very cold time but we were nice and warm. there was nothing lacking in our needs, cooking, bathing. the hot tub was great. my husband wants to go back when the river is not frozen over so be can fish. it was a great stay

We had a great stay at Janelle’s house. The house was very clean and was perfect for our family of 3. It had plenty of space and was very comfortable. The hot tub and movie theater room were certainly the highlights and we don’t plenty of time in each. The house is less than a 5 min drive from Wisp resort so was a perfect location for our ski weekend. It is located on a very quiet road so it was very peaceful with great scenery. Janelle’s information and communication made our stay very simple and enjoyable. We will certainly look to stay here again if we return to wisp.

Phillip's cabin was wonderful. It was in a beautiful location, had easy access to Wisp resort (about 5 minutes driving), and was exactly as described in the description. Communication was smooth and we did not have any issues during our stay.

We had a great time at Lisa’s place! Everything was exactly like the pictures, and her host guidebook was such a nice touch to have! Easy to get an uber and surrounded by local breweries and wineries, and hiking trails. The place was very clean and such a cute location. We would stay here again.

Only stayed one night as we were passing through. Yard was great for our dogs! Hosts were friendly and responsive. Exactly as listed. I would stay here again and recommend to others!

Had a lovely stay with my dog while I was in town for a conference. Looks exactly like the pictures. Super cozy. Lovely safe dog yard. Super close to UVA campus and cute campus adjacent places as well as shopping.

This is our second stay at Amy’s place. Accommodations are very nice and comfortable. Love the privacy and being able to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Very close to many hiking areas. Looking forward to staying at Amy’s place again.

This was a perfect place for a peaceful getaway. The fireplace was a treat, and we had a very cozy stay. It's hard to add to what other reviewers have already said, but here is one detail: on a winter's night, when the moon is down and the sky is clear, the stars are fantastic! Because there is no nearby light pollution, the view from the deck of the night sky is deep and brilliant.

I grew up down the road and we came in to town with our dog and daughter (1.5yo) to ring in the new year with my parents. This place is everything that is great about deep creek and it was such a perfect layout for our dog and toddler to enjoy! The bed was extremely comfortable and even more updated than the pictures. I wish the couch was a little bit more comfortable/updated but can understand with it being a dog friendly place that may be difficult to maintain. Our dog loved the fenced in area! To address the water, yes it smells like sulfur, but it didn’t really bother us during our stay, and there is a water filtration spout in the kitchen. If you are sensitive to smells though taking a shower would probably bother you. We will definitely book again especially being able to be only 5 minutes from my parents without spending a fortune!

our stay was awesome, we got to meet one of the owners and he was so nice and helped us with our cars. so pls make sure u got 4x4 specially if you’re gonna come in the winter. (we learned the hard way lol). love the places really clean and organized. thank you!!☺️

Incredible location within 10 mins to Shenandoah National Park which is absolutely worth passing though at the least. This place was super clean and easy to get in and out of, key code given ahead of time and all questions answered made this place definitely worth the value. Would stay again if ever in the area. 5/5

My husband and I had a great overnight stay! The home was just as described. Very clean and comfortable bed. The muffins were a sweet touch. We would absolutely return!

Brenda is everything you want in a host! Incredibly helpful and descriptive, always quick with communication and so kind! We have a whole mess of younger kids and she was so patient with all of them! This was a great stay and they were all asking to come back before we even got out of the driveway. The grounds were SO peaceful and we really enjoyed getting to see the sunrises in the morning and stars at night. We had a blast and can't wait to visit again! :)

Absolutely Phenomenal View. My girlfriend and I stayed here for new years. On the way up, it was pouring rain but there was no trouble getting to the cottage. Deer everywhere! I love how nature was in the area and not afraid to wonder by. Definitely will consider this cottage for future trips.

Morgan was extremely responsive. We loved the cottage experience, esp since we also had full use of the outdoor space, inc around the main house. True serenity. My mom didn’t want to leave her room behind. Gordonsville is a great location and we barely made a dent in all the things we wanted to do. Drove to Lake Anna one day which wasn’t bad at all. Only con is that the price seemed similar to lakefront properties and/or full houses (I.e. full kitchen). Since it was neither, felt the price could have come down.

Beautiful home immaculate clean .......Need to put Number of House on Post Out without photo would have been difficult to locate.

If you are looking for a peaceful setting surrounded by beautiful natural spaces, this is your place! Accommodations have everything you need for an easy stay and Jennifer was very communicative and helpful.
