Great place to stay right next to the beach! Got to rent bikes too. Host was responsive and friendly.

Such a peaceful and relaxing stay. The sun in the morning and waking up with the birds was wonderful. Stars and moon at night were exquisite. Definitely recommend and will stay again the next time I want to surf Shimoda. 🙏🏽

The room is spacious, clean and tidy, and the balcony can see the white shore beach directly.

Excellent hospitality for 5 days on New Year's Eve! I also had a 4-year-old daughter, but there was a step table, children's dishes, and there was a trampoline, balls, swings, and badminton in the garden, so I could enjoy it with my family without having any time! My parents were also with me, but there were two bedrooms on the second floor, so the sleeping space was comfortable! There were a lot of citrus fruits in the garden, and it was fun to pick tangerines, and it was delicious.😋 Thank you!

I used it as a women's room to compete in a makura throwing tournament.It was close to the station and affordable, and I was able to use the entire building, so I had a very pleasant time.

I wanted to stay in an old Japanese house once, but it was a great location and home.It was really nice, not to mention the special feeling that you can stay in a historic house where Masataro lived, but it also made the most of the goodness of the original house to make the most of it and it was really nice.In the winter, I was worried about the cold, but the room was warm and comfortable with the double windows. At night, I went to a local sushi restaurant that I couldn't meet at a ryokan, and I bought sausages and bread near Atami Station, and had breakfast in an old house while looking at the sea. The highlight was that I was able to relax and enjoy the rising sunrise.It is also a good idea to accumulate hot water in the bath and watch the sunrise. The recommended Izuyama Shrine is about a 30-minute walk from the inn.There are many ups, but it was a good walk.The MOA Museum was also very nice. There is still plenty of room for a garden with summer trees.It would be great if you could put a barrel sauna in the garden and create a tidy space with a view of the sea.I will be staying here again.

During our Japan trip we spent four days in this quite place next to the beach. It was exactly what we needed after Tokyo and it was easy to reach from Mishima by car. We and our two small children enjoyed every Minute here and when coming back will stay here again. In our opinion the house is even more cosy than what can already be seen on the pictures. It has everything you need if you want to spent a time to recharge. We used the Onsen every day. If you are looking for a place go stay near Shimoda. This is your place. 100% recommended!

Very good place to stay! The beach is just a short 5 minute walk which we very much enjoyed. The view from the balcony is great. Not a whole lot of places to eat nearby but there is a full kitchen to cook with. We also stayed during typhoon and host was very responsive and let us stay an extra day as the trains were suspended.

The sea spread out in front of us and it was the best view!The sauna was also excellent!The key was broken when I checked in, but you handled it well!

Great place close to the beach and town. Clean, comfortable, well equipped apartment, private parking, great communication from the host and easy check-in / check-out.

The environment is very beautiful, there is a sea out the window, and there are barbecue equipment on the terrace, you can look at the starry sky while barbecuing, that is, there are many supermarkets nearby where you can buy ingredients to come back to the barbecue, the host also prepared a lot of materials for us, the small episode is that I left a bottle for me in the room, they helped me to leave it and wash it, so I can find it as soon as I return.

Akiko is a very kind lady. We arrived very early, and it was inconvenient to walk with a lot of luggage. After calling akiko to explain the situation on the day I checked in, akiko was very willing to help us arrange to drop off our luggage early into the room, which helped us solve a big problem. The room is in a particularly lovely pale pink little building, only a very small road from the beautiful beach, you can directly see the excellent view from the window in the room, and there are only two beautiful scenery downstairs of the house. And it is an 8-minute walk from the subway station. The only shortage is that there is no elevator, you need to use the stairs to carry your luggage. But it's definitely worth it! I will definitely book this room again! Highly recommended!

Incredible stay, would have loved to have stayed longer and use their outside bbq!
