Holiday rentals with beach access in Shimoda

Seeing the beach first thing in the morning was really magical. The area is peaceful and beautiful ! They are also running the surf shop next to the house so it is easy to arrange for surf lessons. The shared bathroom and corridor are cleaned every day and there is a second washstand so you don't have to wait for the bathroom to be available. Even if i would recommend a car to come and move around more easily, this is the perfect location to get a breath of fresh air and to have a relaxing trip !

Superb location and very easy to reach from Itō station. Right next to the beach and fabulous ocean view. Very tasty restaurants within 5-10min walk. Rooms are very clean and cozy.

Such a peaceful and relaxing stay. The sun in the morning and waking up with the birds was wonderful. Stars and moon at night were exquisite. Definitely recommend and will stay again the next time I want to surf Shimoda. 🙏🏽

Out of our month long stay in Japan, THIS was the best place we stayed. The guesthouse is spacious, clearly well taken care of with little touches that make it feel lived in, comfortable, and homey. After lots of cramped apartments with stiff beds and small kitchens, this was exactly what we needed. The bed is SO comfy with amazing pillows. There’s also two futons so four people could comfortably stay there. The kitchen had everything we needed, albeit small counters, but there was a dining room table when extra space was needed. The location was hard to beat with a great view of the town. This is definitely a place to rest and relax, don’t expect nightlife or many shops. Everyone is very friendly though. There are rock beaches you can walk to and the towns nearby have lots of onsens. No bathtub but bathroom is big. The windows do rattle on windy nights, so much so that sleeping was difficult the first night. Didn’t have any problems after. Host was easy to reach. Highly recommend!!!

It’s a traditional Japanese house with clean, warm and comfortable environment. We had a nice stay and hope to be there next time🥰🥰

Excellent hospitality for 5 days on New Year's Eve! I also had a 4-year-old daughter, but there was a step table, children's dishes, and there was a trampoline, balls, swings, and badminton in the garden, so I could enjoy it with my family without having any time! My parents were also with me, but there were two bedrooms on the second floor, so the sleeping space was comfortable! There were a lot of citrus fruits in the garden, and it was fun to pick tangerines, and it was delicious.😋 Thank you!

I stayed with 8 adults, 2 children, and 3 families.The room was also clean and I stayed on a cold day, but the whole room was warm and I had a pleasant time.The sea, the station, convenience store, Mac, and hot springs were also within walking distance, with good access and a delicious cake shop nearby.It was my first time using it, but I had very good travel memories, such as contacting you very politely.

The living room on the second floor has a great view and openness as pictured, and the whole family, including my parents in their 70s, was delighted! If it's a kitchen with such a view, I'll cook in a good mood every day. Lol I also felt luxurious with high-quality dishes and furniture. I stayed overnight, but the first day was rainy and the second day was sunny, so I was impressed by the sunny weather. The kitchen, bath, toilet, and other water areas were very clean and very pleasant. The bath was spacious and the floor was soft, so it was safe for a 1-year-old child, and I was satisfied without going to a nearby hot spring! The facilities and location were great, the host's message was accurate and quick, and it was a very memorable one. Thank you!

Tomomi's place is perfect for those who want to explore Usami. Tomomi is welcoming and make us feel like home. You can even borrow their bikes for free to explore around.

I chose to stay with my family for a long time since the coronavirus, but the room had a view of the sea from the room, and the room and facilities were clean. The person who guided me was also kind enough to recommend shops and hot springs (the bakery I recommended was very delicious!) It is truly a recommended place to stay because the whole family can relax and take a walk to the sea. I want to come back🎵

I used it for my graduation trip, but I was able to book and check in smoothly with a quick response and polite guidance.The rooftop BBQ and footbath were fully equipped, and I enjoyed it a lot of time. The space is beautiful and well stocked, so I would definitely recommend staying there!It was a great memory

Very good place to stay! The beach is just a short 5 minute walk which we very much enjoyed. The view from the balcony is great. Not a whole lot of places to eat nearby but there is a full kitchen to cook with. We also stayed during typhoon and host was very responsive and let us stay an extra day as the trains were suspended.

We stayed for 6 nights and had wonderful time in the villa. The host was very helpful and responsive when we needed something (our fault, not theirs). the view from the balcony is incredible and we used the sauna at least once a day. We were staying with our 2 year old son and can recommend to families. We hired a car and drove to shimoda from kyoto which we enjoyed, would suggest having a car in this location, there's plenty of other great beaches etc within a short drive if you don't just want to stay around the accommodation. Only takes less than 5 mins to get into town for restaurants etc too, although we used the BBQ on the deck several times which we all enjoyed. Thanks for having us.

The environment is very beautiful, there is a sea out the window, and there are barbecue equipment on the terrace, you can look at the starry sky while barbecuing, that is, there are many supermarkets nearby where you can buy ingredients to come back to the barbecue, the host also prepared a lot of materials for us, the small episode is that I left a bottle for me in the room, they helped me to leave it and wash it, so I can find it as soon as I return.

Akiko is a very kind lady. We arrived very early, and it was inconvenient to walk with a lot of luggage. After calling akiko to explain the situation on the day I checked in, akiko was very willing to help us arrange to drop off our luggage early into the room, which helped us solve a big problem. The room is in a particularly lovely pale pink little building, only a very small road from the beautiful beach, you can directly see the excellent view from the window in the room, and there are only two beautiful scenery downstairs of the house. And it is an 8-minute walk from the subway station. The only shortage is that there is no elevator, you need to use the stairs to carry your luggage. But it's definitely worth it! I will definitely book this room again! Highly recommended!

It was a beautiful place! It was easy to know how to check in!

I booked in the late winter so the greenery wasn't quite as verdant as the photo, but that's understandable. The condo with tatami sleeping area comes well-equipped with a very nice bathroom, kitchen, and sit-down outdoor gas grill on the patio for DIY teppanyaki. Note that access from the bus from Shimoda (which runs every hour or two) is best using the 2nd driveway (it has big "BBQ ⇧" painted on it); also there is currently a 9:24AM bus back which worked out great for the 10:15 Odoriko express back to Kanagawa-ken. I didn't try the adjacent BBQ restaurant with "Taco Cabana" (sounded great) but hope to the next time I get back to this very scenic part of Japan.
