Built in 1839 originally as a blacksmith shop with charm+since updated with new appliances, fixtures+detail to boot. The space Our 950 square foot A-frame cottage is located near historic Placerville in El Dorado County, the heart of California’s gold country. It is one of two houses on the two-acre property. We live in the main house, so if you need anything at all, we are easily accessible. The cottage is less than a mile from highway 50 and is conveniently located close to many fun activities. Visit historical sites, taste at award winning wineries and take a walk down historical Main Street.
