Holiday rentals in Silver Strand State Beach

We had a fantastic stay—our kids absolutely loved it and begged to stay longer every single day. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach, with gorgeous morning strolls and stunning evening sunsets. We especially appreciated that it was dog-friendly—the built-in dog door in the bedroom was such a thoughtful detail, letting our pup come and go without waking us. After full days of kayaking around the Channel Islands, relaxing in the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind. The kitchen was fully stocked for home-cooked meals, and the welcome snacks were a lovely touch. We also loved not having to pack beach gear—the hosts had everything covered: toys, canopy, towels, you name it. Everything was spotless and well maintained, and the host’s kindness in offering us a late checkout made our departure so much smoother. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

We could not be happier with our stay at Lisa’s beautiful home in Ventura! My husband is always very skeptical of renting homes as opposed to staying at a hotel, and even he kept saying “Ok this was an excellent find” Everything about the house was as described and Lisa went above and beyond in making sure the house was ready and comfortable for us, even getting the pack n play set up and ready for use for our 1 year old. The kids bunk room, board games and puzzles, safety covers on every outlet, baby supplies and an abundance of beach toys and gear all helped make this an absolutely perfect spot for families. We were so close to the beach it was no problem at all taking 3 small kids there and back multiple times, and the little main street with a couple restaurants was less than a 5 minute walk away. Instructions were all so clear, the backyard was awesome to hang out and enjoy dinner at, and the entire house was so clean and comfortable. My family is already begging to book it again!

Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the Ventura area. Very nice home it’s very comfy with the massage chair and definitely worth paying a little more to use fire pit, bbq grill and hot tub! We had an amazing getaway here so would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Ventura area

We had an amazing stay with Vanessa in Malibu. A really gorgeous place with an incredible view surrounded by wildlife and tranquility. Really good bird watching opportunities from both the deck and the lower viewing area. Incredible sunrises. This was also the best stocked airbnb I’ve ever stayed in! Plenty of everything, especially in regard to kitchen supplies. I highly recommend this Airbnb - you won’t be disappointed!

Joanie's beach bungalow was so sweet and cozy. We loved how beachy the interior felt, and the space is really designed to make you feel like you're living a coastal life. For those visiting or thinking of booking, some thoughts: Big pros: -You can walk to the beach, truly just a few minutes away -There's a new resort that is also walking distance and has an amazing restaurant called Ox and Ocean -There are lots of beach toys, a beach wagon, and everything else you need To consider: -Oxnard didn't offer a ton of options for our little kids outside of the beach, so we ended up driving to Santa Barbara for the zoo (about 35 minutes away), and to Ventura for the downtown area (maybe 15 mins) Thank you for a great stay, Joanie!

Teri's place is a lovely little oasis - feels cozy and private as soon as you're thru the front gate. Walkable to downtown Ventura - highly recommend the Frontside Cafe for breakfast! Everything else as described! Would stay again. Thanks Teri!

The pictures of the apartment correspond to reality. Taber is very accommodating and there was simply nothing missing. I can recommend without any problems. Taber is a great host!!

What a great place! The house was super clean, the beds comfortable, the water pressure awesome, and the kitchen spotless. This was a really easy place to stay, and our family of six had plenty of space. For those wanting to stay in the Pierpont neighborhood of Ventura, have easy access to the whole city, and be close to the 101 highway, this is the spot to be. This part of Ventura is full of beach cottages and newer houses, lots of palm trees, bike lanes, and even an In n Out burger spot not too far away. Very close to the beach, too! Highly recommend.
