Very comfortable hut, complete with everything and beautifully furnished! Very comfortable double bed! Great location, but maybe a little far away! Experience I recommend to those who really want to live an Icelandic experience!

This place is awesome. Super remote and got the most breath taking and vivid views of the northern lights. The place is clean, sustainable and has everything you’ll need!

Our stay hit the mark. We wanted to be in the Golden circle so we could be close to things we wanted to see. It was perfect. Our family of 6 had plenty of room and felt right at home. It was cozy and the heated floors were perfect after a day of hiking. Hot tub is very hot but in December, it was a nice way to wind down.

We had an excellent stay at The Mountain Villa in early February. Hafþór and Björn were gracious hosts, responding to queries quickly and providing clear instructions to find and access the place. The villa itself was as charming and idillic as we had expected, everything was perfectly clean and tidy on arrival and the facilities were fantastic; we particularly enjoyed the sauna and cold plunge after long days exploring. Flúðir was a quiet little village but perfect for what we wanted, with enough options to eat and drink for the short time we were there, and easily walkable from the villa. The hospitality at Restaurant Minilik was particularly excellent, and the Secret Lagoon is definitely worth a visit too! The Mountain Villa was a perfect hub to explore the region, with lots of sights and walks within a 30 minute drive, and a good place to travel further into the South from. Overall, a perfect stay and we hope to visit again in the future! Thank you Hafþór and Björn!

The place was great , isolated alone in the world , we were even able to see northern lights in the garden. It snowed so the kids were able to play and enjoy the outdoors thoroughly. Trampoling under the snow . The living room and kitchen are missing some light for the evening and for cooking. Lacks some heating too ... We also had the dishwasher not empty and the oven a little dirty and the bubbles didn't work in the hot tub... but we can't have everything, the location is perfect for visiting the Golden Circle and the house is big and secluded! It feels like home thank you for a great stay.

Jonina was a great host. Quick to respond when I had trouble with the locking the door, even sent pictures to help me. Would definitely refer a stay here.

Amazing stay in a beautiful place. Incredible view from the living room and balcony with a great kitchen as well. Facilities were perfectly clean and the beds very comfortable. We also got to see some of the horses in the morning as they showed us inside! Hope to return again soon. Must visit!
